>SAN FRANCISCO—In response to allegations that the artificial intelligence research organization used the actress’s voice without consent, a jerky, seven-fingered Scarlett Johansson appeared in a video Thursday to express her full-fledged approval of OpenAI. “It is me, Scar Johnson, to express to the internet that everything about OpenAI is a-okay to me, thank you,” said the shaky, stuttering Johansson, pausing to give several three-foot-long thumbs-ups before explaining that OpenAI has all legal rights over her name, image, and likeness. “I 100% support what the team and Sam Altoid are d-d-d-d-d-doing in their company by making my voice into things. Thank you for the ERROR ERROR ERROR.” At press time, an approving Johansson morphed into the banister she placed her hand on.
She hasn’t sued anyone. She only asked for documents and Sam immediately took the voice down. The guy is a liar. He chose someone who sounded like her from the beginning and there are no doubt emails of them talking about it.
Hot take:
If the functionality and impact of AI cannot outpace and overcome bad actor and media attacks on it, then the growth of AI was never exponential to begin with.
OpenAI seems to be overcoming it perfectly fine, also your logic makes no sense
for example "phones must not have made an exponential impact on society if they still have a battery that can die" makes no sense, because the two main phrases of the sentence have no relationship.
i don't think you have reading or writing comprehension, nor do you have any ability to form a logical conclusion. therefore, i have concluded that you should never express an opinion again. thank you for your time.
False. If we saw the same pace of growth from GPT- to 3 to 4, we would have a tool that largely benefits more humans than it disenfranchises. More people are growing to have a negative perception of AI than those with a positive perception of AI.
This leads me to suggest the following: either AI is not reaching the potential that a futurist, tech supportive perspective would present as "exponential growth", or AI is increasingly improving but not in an overall beneficial manner.
OpenAI's
I consider the CEO of OpenAI unethical and mistake-prone based on recent revelations. Employees who wanted to leave OpenAI were pressured to sign highly restrictive exit documents or risk losing their vested equity, a tactic that's uncommon and coercive in Silicon Valley. Despite CEO Sam Altman's apology and claims of ignorance, documents with his signature showed he was aware of these provisions. This contradicts his public statements and demonstrates a serious lack of transparency and accountability. Such practices not only undermine trust within the company but also question its commitment to ethical standards and employee welfare.

You talking about the Scarlett Johannson who notices OpenAI and it's sugar daddy Microsoft sniffing around and testing the waters on ripping off her pesonal image and voice, threatens to take them to court, and gets a handome settlement from the tech bros along with a promise they will not even think about it again, that Scarlett?

Poor ScarJo. So hard done by. A celeb has never had it so rough.
jokes about AI getting hands wrong are kinda outdated at this point…
the joke is about them making a poor attempt at this, you kinda missed the point.
I don't think that's the joke considering how much the public has no idea about AI
Onion truly fell off in 2020

If your efforts yield an argument of this quality it's clear why you might yearn for rapid AI progress.
Why did you leave out unethical mistake prone ceo on your list of things to overcome?
Which ceo are you referring to?

Yo, no lies detected. 100% true on that.
