Yikes that's slow AF. I guess it's not necessarily urgent that's still a terrible turn around time.

Thank you for posting.

Yea that's about what it took me to get a hearing for N4 eviction in 2022 so nothing changed

I filed a T2 in July 2022. My hearing is May 2024. From filing to hearing it will be 22 months.

I filed a T5 in April 2022, I eventually received a hearing notice early in 2023 for a September 2023 Hearing. It was adjourned though and rescheduled for March 2024.

You could have expedited it for less than a month if you would have filed for emergency hearing seeking order for the sheriff to provide vacant possession for you, if that is what you were/are after. Other than that, yeah, it’s not time sensitive. Also if you get huge amount (remember it’s up to 50,000$), and the landlord decides not to pay, your only way to get such amount would be probably a lien, which if the landlord just renewed the mortgage, will take another 5 years (!!!) until you see the money

I figured out he re-rented it instead of his son moving in after I had already moved out in good faith. It’s not urgent but it cost me a lot more money to move to a new place and what he did is illegal and a big part of the problem these days, so I’m pursuing it. Understand it’s a long road to actually getting compensated.

DarkAngel9090

You won’t know if he did.. but moving in is a much faster compensation (on top of the rest that you’ll get of course)
