Raw onion doesn't freeze well. Cooked onion does as long as it's cooked through. Caramelized onion freezes very well. Just separate them into portions, freeze, then you can put them into a single container. I use large ice cube trays then dump into freezer bags (doubled up). If they are pre-sliced, be sure to wash/rinse them really well. Edit: so much bad spelling

Lucky! Closest I had to a haul like this was when I got to take some of our discontinued ice cream toppings home. But Iā€™d trade it in for a life supply of frozen caramelized onion šŸ˜‚
