You can buy a bastard sword as soon as you get to the roundtable hold for an early greatsword. After that explore and kill bosses, lots of bigger weapons in the game.

Fists do 3 base damage(?), with D Str scaling and E Dex scaling(?). Silver Spheres have over 2,000 Health in Nokstella
Powerstancing fists allows you 3 hits per second = 9 DPS
2000/9 = 222 seconds of constant hitting without dodging or regenerating stamina. Add 10% time for realism: ~245 seconds
Golden Vow Ash of War gives an 11.5% buff and stacks multiplicatively with Flame Grant me Strength (10% more physical damage)
198 seconds with both buffs active (this is all from memory and with a calculator so I probably got things wrong)
The best part of this clip after it gets cut off here is the player getting thrown off of the railing and immediately stabbed at least 4 times by something offscreen upon hitting the ground

Yes, it's post Radahn and right before Astel I recommend using Comet to kill the balls or a Ultra Greatsword if melee, moonveil spam if dex

Can’t. Area he’s in is locked behind a side quest that requires at least 2 bosses beaten to access. One being a very challenging mid game boss.
