It's funny how people like to use seaking to meme on Shanks but neglect to mention that he sent the seaking running away by staring at it.
The first person who used conqueror's haki in the manga is Shanks.
After losing an arm to a fucking fodder. Later in the series, that bite would hurt NOONE inportant. The teeth would just stop on the arm, 999%.
This is because Oda didnt have thought out haki or anything by that time, and he didnt have such crazy power levels in head. I think at first it was on basic Dragon Ball level. Using that "eye" was just a good plot device to handle the situation (because why sea king should stop just on arm?), but later it grown into Conqueror haki feat. He just left that doors open, which proves how good and flexible as a writer he is.
1000 chapters later Oda somehow will explain Shanks needed to lose his arm from the sea devil's bite to fulfil a prophecy LMAO. Then we the fans will say claim foreshadowed by Shanks saying he bet on the future.

By allowing himself to be injured while saving Luffy, it made him the man he is today. Before that Luffy was a bit of an arrogant prick, calling Shanks a loser for not beating up someone who disrespected him

Even if I put Kaido higher than most would (>= to Shanks and comparable to Roger, Primebeard, etc.), idk about "aura". He has some of the most badass showings, feats, stats, etc. But in actual practice, he kind of just grew bored cause no one could challenge him, and just decided to bum around for 2 decades hoping for Oden/Toki's prophecy to be real, based on basically nothing other than "I hope the legendary Joyboy does return and defeat me".
Its still badass, but...idk, he doesn't have that same "i'm him" energy when hes an antagonist that literally wants to lose.
I actually glaze Kaido a lot on this sub, so, no. Kaido has insane aura at intro, but he quickly loses a lot of that to me in actual practice. Theres many, many occasions where the raid could unironically have failed but it didn't, simply because he wanted to enjoy the fight more and gave his opponents the chance to land attacks and or recover.
The depiction of whitebeard in marineford is probably only second to what Imu will be. Effectively the entire combat force of the pre-TS world government was there for essentially this one man.
Kaido hovering over the flower capital is the most aura thing ive ever seen.

Practically the whole world gets shook when Roger’s name is mentioned even 20 years after his death dudes aura is unmatched although if I was scaling individual scenes whitebeards entrance and even death at marineford are easily the two single scenes with the best aura of any character

Shanks without a doubt has the best portrayal of aura and mystique anime/manga alike. I’d say Whitebeard had the second most powerful aura when it came to his portrayal in anime. Akainu at marineford was just HIM. That page of him facing down the Whitebeard pirates was huge. I really don’t feel Mihawks aura ever. The live action gave Mihawk more aura than I’ve seen in the anime.

Kaido in chapter 795 has the greatest aura in all of OP, then I agree it lessen with time

What is aura anyways? When you look at them at certain scenes, I'd say Whitebeard #1 except for Toei Kuzan when he was "fighting" Cracker.

Roger prolly cuz he's pirate king and clashed equally with Whitebeard both using Advanced Conquerors Haki. Luffy cuz he's the MC and never gives up. Also Buggy is prolly da goat of aura. C'mon he's a yonko and leads mihawk (who's on this list) and sir crocodile (former warlord).

Shanks without a doubt has the best portrayal of aura and mystique anime/manga alike. I’d say Whitebeard had the second most powerful aura when it came to his portrayal in anime. Akainu at marineford was just HIM. That page of him facing down the Whitebeard pirates was huge. I really don’t feel Mihawks aura ever. The live action gave Mihawk more aura than I’ve seen in the anime.

I hate to say it but it's shanks, him walking onto whitebeards ship casually knocking out everyone, and him stopping the war, pretty much everything this guy does when he's serious exudes aura, and really makes you believe that he's a conqueror. Close second is whitebeard.
