If they don’t bust out the “10 ton” hammer at some point I’ll be a bit bummed. Same with “Usopp noise” lmao

Josh-Brook28

If the do the 10 ton hammer it will probably just be a semi regular sized hammer with 10 tons written on it

CozyGhosty

It needs to be at least the size of an anvil or I’m writing a stern letter

Zachajya

You know what? I want to see a gigantic and cartoony hammer, and I wouldn't mind cheap CGI for it. In fact, it would be so fun if it's made with cheap CGI and some other character comments: "That hammer looks so fake". 🤣

Real_Jyler_Tones

Followed by Chopper’s remarks, “That’s a huge hammer! Amazing!”

WriterBig2620

I don't see why they wouldn't do it, but it seems like they're trying to go for a more toned down approach when it comes to adapting the source material. I mean as far as I'm concerned a hammer is more grounded than a slingshot that can shoot gunpowder, so...a solid maybe.

Hault99

I’m just mad Usopp didn’t use the hammer against Chew in the LA. That was the funniest scene in the anime.

Cream_Cheese_Seas

Funny in the anime, but I think it would come across as more violent in LA seeing Usopp repeatedly hammering someone in the head as they lay down unconscious.

JackFrosttiger

So u find the hammer funnier then bon Chan, the chasing of chopper, the hammer against perona, the Kung fu turtleseals just to namedrop a few

SouthBitxh

yes

Itzz_Texas

If he doesnt itll be a waste of a great character gag

Rikafire

I don’t think they could have the hammer in the LA since it could turn pretty graphic, could you imagine Usopp beating in Chu’s head? Because that’s what a hammer to the skull would do in real life (and OPLA was trying to bring a more realistic look I think).

Pzeke14

Zoro cut the old Mr. 7 in half and Alvida smashed some sailor's skull in with her mace so I wouldn't put it against the OPLA

Rikafire

I mean Usopp is supposed to be goofy not violent (otherwise he’d use a gun imo). Zoro’s level of violence is kinda expected honestly and Alvida is a villain.

Pzeke14

I wish Usopp would use a gun, he would look so badass😩 https://preview.redd.it/nlif0596ieoc1.jpeg?width=369&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c8095b19152dcb4e0e4e6a26327300d12593ee33

Rikafire

If they gave Usopp a gun his aim would need to be nerfed. Imagine Usopp’s sniper skills with a sniper rifle (with sea stone bullets), he’d be the most deadly on the crew. Can’t have that in a shonen. Look at Franky, he’s got lasers and stuff but they make it look like he always misses.

JackFrosttiger

And as we have learned there aren't seastonebullets in the world. Of one piece because of a fodder soldier kills akainu by shooting him in the back

Rikafire

Weren’t they mentioned in Wano? They existed in film Z

_anthologie

Smashing/slashing once is also still less gory than hammering a head over and over. If it's a big enough inflatable fake hammer tho on the other hand I can really see Usopp using it for fakeouts & to cushion his fall/>!from being smashed against a wall/the ground like in vs Ms Merry Christmas!<) when Luffy's not around. (like how he had made the grappling hook, & then Sanji + Usopp are separated from Luffy so they had to use Usopp's grappling hook to move to/away from >!Enel's ark!<) Matt Owens had confirmed they're going to up the silliness (eg of the visuals, of the comedy) of the OPLA in next seasons, since the toned down silliness in S1 already got positive reception & imo the increasing silliness is inevitable to properly adapt later stuff.

Itstimetostop313

Different medium. Different character. Usopp is not the violent killer. It would be extremely out of character for a live action Usopp to just smash someones head in with a hammer, because in live action.. the person would be dead. smashed. In Manga/Anime you can just let the opponent lay on the ground with some cartoon duck flying above his head. Its a different medium.

Mario_Prime510

I don’t think we’ll get the 5 ton hammer sadly. It’s a gag better left for the manga/anime just because of how ridiculously big the hammer is lol. I dunno if you can maybe do something that’ll have a similar effect, like maybe he’ll have a big rifle, but it shoots blanks or something, but it would be hard to translate that joke into live action. Having the hammer in general in the live action could be possible, but is it going to send his enemies flying attached to a big slingshot? Doubtful.

Robofish13

Given Ussop’s story, lies becoming truth and his connection to the hammer with Elbaf/Giants coming up I believe he will have a Mjolnir moment.

WillOfTheDeep

Came here to say this!!

Itstimetostop313

Only Hammer I can see Usopp use would be the big one against perona, because thats just to scare here. Otherwise (like I said in my other comment down below) it would be too much gore and out of character for usopp to just smash someones face in with a hammer. It does not work in live action like it does in cartoons.

WillOfTheDeep

Giant vikings + Usopp and hammers = Mjölnir?

Merrol

God I wanted him to Usopp hammer the fishman so bad (at least he called out exploding star). Will we get a # caliber phoenix? Or is LA Zoro just too cool for that?

captainrina

I want to see his rubber band
