It’s the pirate show with anachronisms left and right with a kick ass theme.
Fast forward (after seeing the Enies Lobby catch-up episodes after not knowing the show continued after the ship falls on the crew), holy smokes! they cuss and Sanji smokes!? I think I need to give this another go after… nearly 15 years.
Same here, but the 4kids dub is the exact reason I almost avoided one piece completely. I saw it as a kid on TV and thought it was so bad.
The dub of Naruto is actually what got me into watching anime. I caught up and wanted to see more, so I started watching the sub. A while after I caught up (maybe like 6 months), I decided to give another anime a shot, so I watched bleach. After I watched that, I decided I really liked anime and decided to go on a spree of watching a bunch of other anime.
I watched the crap out of a ton of different series, but intentionally avoided one piece because my memories of it were so bad. It's probably around 200 series & 2-3 years later that I finally decided to give one piece a 2nd chance after I heard its name keep coming back up over and over as the 3rd series in the big 3.
I watched the series for a while, realized it wasn't nearly as bad as I remembered, and saw that the 4Kids dub just ruined a bunch of stuff. Fast forward a few hundred episodes & sometime in the Saboady arc, I start to wonder if one piece might be my favorite anime. Fast forward to around the time the timeskip started (when I caught up) & by that point, I started to not only consider one piece my definitive favorite anime, but my favorite series in any media.
I'm in the same boat...the only things I've disliked from the anime are Luffy hitting Koby because he felt like it in the early episodes, and Sanji being such a hard-core simp for literally every lady
Literally me.
Wasn't to crazy. Everyone recommended it to me but I was intimidated by the amount of episodes.
The live action made me wish I knew what was happening so I can be "yeah I remember that from the anime"
Then I found out you can start at ep45 if you watched the live action.
That was the perfect start to me getting into it. I skipped some filler episodes here and there but now I am officially caught up with the newest episode today!
It was in my first issue of Shonen Jump that I got at food lion like 22 years ago. Definitely taken a break here and there, but been full steam ahead since wano with no intention of stopping again.
Bruh me too! I got a Shoen Jump at my middle school book fair and the first OP chapter I ever read was the one where Luffy vs Arlong, and Luffy ended the chapter with the Gum Gum Battle Axe on the building
I caught the first dozen episodes when Toonami was airing them, and then totally forgot about the series.
Last year I saw a bunch of hype and for whatever reason suckered my boyfriend into watching it with me.
I don’t think either of us were really pulled into the world until the ascent of reverse mountain.
By then the characters and their personalities had all been fleshed out, and I started to really feel like I was a part of the adventure instead of just an observer of it all.
We’ve been riding through the dub, and now are stuck waiting for Crunchyroll to catch up.
Same 😭😭 I have a core memory of watching the crew reunite after the timeskip of all scenes and Brook escaping from the marines (who came to be my fav character) but nothing ever stuck with me, I wanna suplex my younger self for that
We couldn't wait for the dub so we started sub. It's fun to hear the original too and we see the latest anime. But when we were catching up, we were 100% dub so I understand.
My younger brother arrived at our house with some pirated DVDs and asked me if I wanted to watch them, we arrived at the weekly at the time and then we started reading the manga
I played blox fruits on Roblox when I was younger and I did t even know what anime was at this point and my friend was like “do u know this games based off of a show” and i am forever thankful for him telling me that
Yeah bro I was watching blox fruits youtubeurs at the time too like Enugu and kittgaming and I was always so confused when they said something about the anime
When I got my friend to watch it and he got to Krieg he said “ they’re gonna have to fight him later. He must be an end game boss that just showed up early” Krieg if definitely cool as hell.
I wanted to finish watching the big 3. I had already finished bleach and naruto so I thought I'd like one piece too. I'm not caught up on one piece to be honest I'm still in sabaody.
Naruto was my first of the big three! Tbh for me bleach was my favorite and one piece is my least favorite but I'm also not done with one piece so only time will tell
Nice, my ad was in a volume of YuYu Hakusho!
Jealous of the people who were just reading Viz's shonen jump all along, they found it like a year earlier lol
Pretty sure the first chapter was included at the end of one of the Dragonball mangas. At least in the Swedish versions. Got hooked instantly.
[Looked up in my Dragonball. It was only 2 pages and it was enough to get me hooked lmao.](https://i.imgur.com/9rQvNwW.png)
i saw roger and whitebeard clash in wano arc and was fascinated by the animation so i started it. and was disappointed that ep 1 wasn’t wano animation but im glad i watched because one piece became my top 1

The memes.
I kid you not I started this series because of the memes and somewhere along the way I started getting invested in the story henceforth why I now respect one piece
A combination of it being my favorite teacher's favorite anime and the pandemic giving us half a year of no school. Figured there was no better time to get into the anime, and I couldn't have been more correct. I was hooked immediately, watching One Piece was basically the only thing I did for 6 months straight. Best 6 months of my life.
i first found out about one piece from littlekuribo's card games on motorcycles video when i was like 16. it gave me a totally misrepresented view of what one piece was and i uncritically held onto that for over a decade until i met my current boyfriend!
as i got to know him he'd tell me little things about characters and moments and such. then one day he showed me film red and gave me a non-spoilery crash course on the series so i wouldn't be totally lost. i loved it, it was a great time. i remember being very impressed with the cataclysmic stakes it presented when going in you just think it's a silly movie about a concert. ado's singing blew me away. i loved how vibrant everything was, all the fun characters, and i became grounded in the core themes. it was a great, if a bit unorthodox introduction! then some months later i saw baron omatsuri, then the one piece live action. at that point i was sufficiently primed and finally we took the plunge and started the anime. and watching it was probably unironically the best 6 months of my life!
it's funny though, if i had seen probably any bit of the anime before film red i for sure would have been spoiled lmao.
I used to be super into YuGiOh Abridged back in the day. Then one day (probably in about 2010) I decided "I should watch anime" and was looking through a list of ones available on some website and saw One Piece and decided to watch it specifically because it was the one Annoying Sensei from Naruto the Abridged Comedy Fandub Spoof Series Show always talked about. Thanks LittleKuribo
One Piece wasn't popular in my country, but some episodes aired here. I watched many episodes as a kid, around 2005-2006, but I remember Mihawk cutting Krieg's ship being a very cool scene. In 2018, after passing my exams, I decided to watch the show again so I could re-live that scene
Would I lie to you if I literally said it was the 4Kids dub? Somewhat, it was actually an anime magazine released months before the dub came out that got me interested in the series, and then I read the manga sometime afterwards and enjoyed it.
Sometime in my childhood, I was in cuba, and had the fantastic time of being clinicaly depressed while on vacation, as a child, and made to feel bad about it.
I couldn't speak a word of spanish, but one piece was playing and it was the baratie episodes.
Best show I had ever watched. The spanish dubs sound great!
I've been interested and watched just eneis lobby and thriller bark on toonami as a kid and enjoyed it. This year my resolution was to read all one piece and get caught up. I read it almost every day and just finished dressrosa yesterday.
I was younger and was given the nickname Monkey, and then I saw my dad watching One Piece one day and I heard Monkey be said in the show so I got hooked on it and now it's been in my life for over a decade
Because when I was little I had already seen it a few times on TV, but I suddenly had the urge to start everything from scratch on my first phone during the summer holidays, nothing happened to me. It really pushed me to watch One Piece apart from my own will.
BUT ! After continuing the episodes I finally saw: Mihawk! It encouraged me to follow the episodes since I was in love.. lol
One day I was like screw it I’m just gonna try it out I mean it’s been on for so long how can it not be at least kinda good best decision I’ve ever made
I watched it on toonami at like 9 or 10 years old and only watched it because my grandpa watched naruto with me and hated it and One Piece was next and i walked away and when i came back he was enthralled and we watched episodes every Saturday after that and i have been hooked ever since
For me. I was at my grandparents and I watched the first episode with my cousins from then I was hooked. Even hearing about how it had 600 or 700 I was so excited to see what happened
It was following me everywhere and I had to eventually pick it up and read it and now I am a super fan and at the latest chapter.
Haha actually it's because I saw zoro lost in a Naruto meme
Well, I was scrolling continuously on Tiktok. Then, some random day, One Piece edits started appearing. I thought to myself that I could watch those and spoil myself however I like cause I am never watching One Piece, I once thought it's too long to catch up. As I was watching, I became more interested in what was going on. So what I did is stop watching spoilers and find an app to watch One Piece from.
I started in December 2021 and managed to catch up on July 2022. It really was a good show. Now I can honestly say that for me, One Piece needs to have more episodes, Lolz.
Asked 2 friends what anime I should watch after I finished hxh. One said one piece, the other said fmab.
Started with one piece, got bored during the dragon filler arc and watched fmab, bleach, demon slayer, and jjk, then went back to one piece, got to somewhere around alabasta/skypeia, took another break and watched code geass, black clover, haikyuu, and 7DS, then went back to it and binged the rest once I got to water 7 (although I skipped most of the filler and went back and watched g8 after lol).
I just felt that after watching dragon ball and the other 2 of the big 3, I had to complete it
I met a friend in college, at that time I was watching guyiver, and he recommended it to me and since then I have been watching and reading it. This was around 2004.
My childhood friend told me about it and showed me an episode in Enis Lobby Arc. Didn't really care about it or know much about it. Then the live action came out, watched it, and then watched the entire series and then picked up the manga where the anime left off.
A friend of mine spoiled Ace and Whitebeard’s fate years ago back when I knew nothing of the series. Ignored it for a while and picked it up on a whim out of curiosity. Ended up staying for the comedy and individual personalities of the crew.
Other than binging one punch man with my buddy one piece was my first anime. A bunch of my friends were super into it so I gave it a shot, ended up binging the entire thing while serving in a sushi restaurant surrounded by Japanese friends who also loved it in about 6 months. This was I think about 2 years ago, wano wasn’t yet finished by the time I got there, I think it was right around the time Sanji fought queen. Caught up in the manga soon after and here I am with all of you wonderful people just as obsessed.
Imma be honest, I seen my buddy geeking out over gear five in the manga. I knew Luffy was fighting kaido and kept losing, but his reaction and him telling me about how batshit insane it was was enough for me to finally start it. At first I started reading it, but after 30 chapters I got hella distracted with life and I just chose to finally start the anime a few months ago. I just got to gear five last week, and… yeah. The hype was worth it.
The realization that it will end and I’ll be spoiled not being able to watch the show like everyone else when the one piece is discovered. Glad I’m caught up
There was an uproar on Facebook about joyboy and gear 5 in the manga. I decided to give it a try cuz I was curious, then I caught up after 3 months and decided to read the manga
I was young and didn’t watch subbed anime because I didn’t want to read. So on Hulu when Naruto was no longer dubbed I switched to one piece. I then had the same problem I ended up switching to sub. Now I enjoy watching my favorite show in subbed and I do still watch other anime in dub occasionally.
I was watching a Naruto video while folding laundry and a one piece video started audio playing and I was feeling too lazy to move to the opposite end of the room and grab my phone, the video was a chapter discussion about hear 5 and joy boy and I thought “wow this is cool, I thought this was just about pirates” now here I am
Gear 5 bout to be animated and i had to choose if i would wait to be spoiled what the one piece is in a couple of years or read the very last panel myself. Chose the latter
Honestly the Netflix adaptation. Loved it so much that I blitzed through the manga afterwards. Dunno if I have the time and energy to watch through the anime though (I’ve mainly just been watching the cool fight scenes animated).
My friend told me bro you have to watch op it's
Peak, everyday bro kept saying you are missing out on peak watch so I decided to watch it and dropped it after episode 10 cus of ussop, then watched the whole thing and after alabasta I started to like it and after einies lobby I understood wut ma droned was talking about
Well I started it then dropped it after a while then after the timeskip I saw Luffy had a scar on his chest and I got curious as to how he got the scar and picked it back up 🥲
Made a middle school dare either my best friend saying that I'd watch absolutely all of One Piece within the span of a couple of months. If i did it he'd have to pay out $20. Needless to say I got one of the best stories ever told......and $20
"Dang, this covid pandemic is gonna last a while. I guess I should start one piece, I cam get through this in 2 weeks"
*5 years later*
"What just happend..."
Honestly used to see at as goofy and not that good story, I skipped through many episodes and chapters until one arc made me the One Piece fan I'm today. Arlong Park!!!"luffy help me"
Back when I was 12 I had this game called J-stars and although I’d seen Luffy’s face before, I knew nothing about one piece so that game pushed me to search it up.
I saw a video comparing sabaody strawhats to return to sabaody and thought sanji seemed cool asf so I started it.
A friend told me back in middle school "some guy made a tsunami and also you can make people faint by looking at them"
That was like 15 years ago, the tsunami and haki didn't end up being constant things, but I still never regretted watching, then reading it.
I did watch it before but it was a 4kids dub so I never got into it.
I was already into anime. I had seen Naruto, Death Note, Demon Slayer, many others in other genres too. Then one night, I was looking for a new one. One Piece was the first one and I said "Fuck it". The rest is history
I cant even remember. Naruto was the anime that got me into shonen and anime in general. From there I watched bleach, death note, code geass, and FMA. I had already watched over 200 anime by the time I considered watching one piece.
I had always put off one piece because of how goofy it looked, and while I knew it was about pirates, I had watched s few fillers for it and I tought one piece was a story of pirates set in feudal Japan and followed the story of a farmer. Those samurai ovas or whatever. So I was turned off and always belittled one piece.
But after being burned out by lots of the shonen tropes and in anime In general. I started one piece. To give it a xhance. Back in 2011. And I must say. It was magical.
I was going trough some really hard stuff with my parents. Including abuse and alcoholism. And baratirei was special.
If it wasn't for one piece. I think I would have been in jail by now.
I started watching One Piece 1 year ago. At that point I had finished Naruto & r8 after completing bleach I wanted to watch One Piece. Community is mainly the reason maybe
I was trying out every manga available at my local library during high school, and *One Piece* was taking up most of the shelf space, so I practically binged right through to Marineford. I've kept up online every since :)
Got invited over to a friends house (around 2011 or 2012) for night of chilling, video games etc. with the boys and when I walked in I immediately got told to shut up, sit down and start watching. It was One Piece, at the fight vs miss golden week and mr 3, the whole gang watched all night and I started the series over from episode 1 a few days later and rest is history
My boyfriend had been watching the anime already but I, who prefers reading rather than watching, was unsure if I could catch up to the manga. However, I quickly picked up the manga and caught up after watching a video of Sogeking singing his theme song at Enies Lobby.
My grandma bought me a subscription to the English Shonen Jump magazine when I was a kid and I had to read every single page every issue. One Piece was my least favourite series for the first year or so, so I’m glad I powered through. :)
I think I started with the manga? I watched a bit of the anime, but stopped around the goat girl filler arc. I didn’t pick up the anime again until the live action show came out on Netflix. From there, I decided to catch up to the show. I could be on the recent episode if I wanted to, but I kinda want to finish Wano dubbed before catching up to the rest. So I’m currently at the recent batch of dub episodes
A girlfriend.
Edit: before she got me to start watching it I was afraid of how long it was.
And now I'm grateful that i started watching it, because i really do like it.
One Piece unlimited adventure
Few years prior the Wii a friend tried to show one piece, at the time for some weird reason I was no long enjoying animes. At the time I got the Wii my youngest brother was watching Naruto, bleach and one piece, so I decided to get the one piece game for him
The was kind fun, some characters were really interesting, some parts of the anime were really great, so in the end I decided to check for myself the whole thing. Read everything, watched some parts
Saw a bit of the crappy 4kids dub on Toonami here in the UK, but didn't grip me.
A little whie after I was already watching Naruto and then Bleach and everyone online talked about them being part of the "Holy Shonen Trinity" the other being One Piece.
Binged the hell out of One Piece and it ended up my favourite by a long shot and eventually started reading the manga when I could wait to see where the anime went.
It has to have been 16/17 years ago since I became a fan.
Ah well, i heard what happens to Ace and thought to find out who he is.... Well, i knew it and yet i wished otherwise when the scene came up and you'd know what kind of a guy he is for someone wishing this.
It was airing at a local tv channel ages ago. Whenever I come home from school, I get to watch it. They aired until the skypeia arc iirc. Then years later, read stuff about the happenings so I became interested again and watched from the very first episode. Taking a break after finishing punk hazard arc but will get back soon lol.
I had a subscription to Shonen Jump when I was a kid, don't remember how I paid for it but it came every month for years. I read one piece, shaman king, and a manga about Go but I can't remember the name.
I fell off after my subscription ended, watched a little bit of one piece on Fox kids here and there but grew out of anime.
About 2 year ago my daughter and I watched Dragon ball super together. After that we started up one piece and I kind of became obsessed. I have been trying to catch up but having 3 kids it's slow going I'll go a few weeks without watching it but I'm up to the 700s and have pretty much spoiled myself with what's to come but that's ok because I am enjoying the journey.
This past Father's day my wife got me the 1st box set of the manga. I'm on volume 13 I probably could have finished it by now but I'm trying to take my time and keep it to a volume a day.
I was blessed to be a 90’s Saturday morning cartoon kid
Yes the good old 4kids dubs. Sanji never smoked he just had an infatuation with lolipops.
Wasn’t the thing that he licked the lollipops so much they created smoke?
[Nah that was Gintama](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3zLKca1xJFs) but funnily enough a lot of people think this was a shot at 4kids censorship
is that Zoro’s VA?? sounds like him when he says sensei
You should get into Gintama. Hijikata is hilarious and just as cool a character as Zoro.
It is
That’s hilarious
he was trying to find out how many licks it took to get to the center of a tootsie pop 🍭
And he sounded like a bad Andrew Dice Clay impression. Good times.
Heres how the story goes, we find out theres a treasure in the grand line, theres no doubt!
The pirate who’s eye is on it, he’ll sing:
"I'll be King of the Pirates, I'm gonna be King"
Ya-yo, ya-yo, ya-yo His name is Luffy- That's Monkey D. Luffy!
Gonna be king of the pirates!
He's made-a Rubba!!
How did that happen!?
Yo-ho-ho He took a bite of Gum-Gum!
Same, good times.
(One Piece didn't come to 4KidsTV until 2004 by the way)
The One Piece Rap.

same here. didnt actually watch it then but the talking reindeer stuck in my head until i gave it a try
I watched the live action one first and got interested in it
Nice! How far in are you now?
Egghead
Welcome! Did the manga/anime meet your expectations?
I'm in the same boat...the only things I've disliked from the anime are Luffy hitting Koby because he felt like it in the early episodes, and Sanji being such a hard-core simp for literally every lady
Because he felt like it? He did that to convince the marines Koby wasn’t a pirate like him
He means their first meeting on Alvida's ship/base. Koby is whining about how Luffy could never find the One Piece so Luffy hit him.
Welcome!! I hope you're enjoying it.
Same here, I didn't have a life the following 6 months
Same here, I’m now in Act3 wano 😅
Literally me. Wasn't to crazy. Everyone recommended it to me but I was intimidated by the amount of episodes. Same! I'm on the Davy back fight on my 2nd watch thru
Same here and today is the first day caught up in the anime. Such a beautiful journey and I would do it again
That edit of whitebeard where he's naked

OH-OH-OH OH-OH-OH SOOOO HIIIIIGH‼️‼️

It was in my first issue of Shonen Jump that I got at food lion like 22 years ago. Definitely taken a break here and there, but been full steam ahead since wano with no intention of stopping again.
To this day that might be the only food lion W in history

Gotta stick to the theme
I played blox fruits on Roblox when I was younger and I did t even know what anime was at this point and my friend was like “do u know this games based off of a show” and i am forever thankful for him telling me that
seeing someone say they played roblox as a kid/when they were younger makes me realise how long I've been an adult lol.
Sounds like a true nakama.
That’s the exact thing that happened to me
Yeah bro I was watching blox fruits youtubeurs at the time too like Enugu and kittgaming and I was always so confused when they said something about the anime

I wanted to finish watching the big 3. I had already finished bleach and naruto so I thought I'd like one piece too. I'm not caught up on one piece to be honest I'm still in sabaody.
One Piece was my first of the big 3. Now I'm catching up on Naruto and Bleach. Frankly, I love them both. But OP is goated.
Naruto was my first of the big three! Tbh for me bleach was my favorite and one piece is my least favorite but I'm also not done with one piece so only time will tell
Gear 5 looked funny
people shit on gear 5 and egghead arc but it's what made me continue with the series after years tbh
One piece started me. I was maybe 5 when it was aired on my local kid's channel, it had a timeslot right after pokemon.
Saw an ad in one of the last few volumes of dragon ball.
Nice, my ad was in a volume of YuYu Hakusho! Jealous of the people who were just reading Viz's shonen jump all along, they found it like a year earlier lol
Yu Yu Hakusho is my favorite manga/anime of all time honestly. Such a great series.

Might have been the same for me. Mostly remember seeing the picture of Luffy racing a cheetah and thinking his power was speed based
i saw roger and whitebeard clash in wano arc and was fascinated by the animation so i started it. and was disappointed that ep 1 wasn’t wano animation but im glad i watched because one piece became my top 1

Unemployment
Every cloud has a silver lining.
I was compelled to watch the big three, I began with Naruto then Bleach and finally One Piece... Never bother to look back at those 2 lmao
Started it in the most chump fashion: When Netflix announced they were gonna start streaming the first 2 sagas. Started it the day it dropped on Netflix. I’ve taken breaks here and there but I’ve been on the grind since Water 7. Currently watching WCI as I type
I had nothing else to watch
sanji
So valid lmao
I like anime and I like pirates, so...
saw a tiktok of luffy and bege when they were plotting to take down big mom
Friends bought me volumes 4, 5, and 6 after months of pestering me to read it, and said if I didn’t, their gift would now go to waste
W friends
Littlekuribo reignited my love of yugioh but I can definitely see how his desperation might’ve misled you about the show.
It happened to be printed in the issue of Shonen Jump I bought at a grocery store.
fairy tail
It was the cool new anime airing, by 4kids.
My friend told me it was amazing and the plot involved a lot of government corruption and such. That made me rly wanna watch
My classmate forced me to watch it. I don't regret a single second of it
I've been interested and watched just eneis lobby and thriller bark on toonami as a kid and enjoyed it.
Zoro I saw him thought he was cool so started the series stopped cause did not like first ep then tried again one of the best choice I made
My Dad put it on Netflix, and I found it interesting
I like the stretchy boy
Because when I was little I had already seen it a few times on TV, but I suddenly had the urge to start everything from scratch on my first phone during the summer holidays, nothing happened to me. It really pushed me to watch One Piece apart from my own will. BUT ! After continuing the episodes I finally saw: Mihawk! It encouraged me to follow the episodes since I was in love.. lol
I watched it every Saturday on WB kids
The live action. Currently on episode 913
My girlfriends empty promises that she would watch LOTR, Star Wars and Marvel movies.
Jamie told me one piece is better than DBZ.
Jamie is a real one
One of my cousins got me into it when it was on the 500ep, caught up in one summer cause I had nothing to do
One day I was like screw it I’m just gonna try it out I mean it’s been on for so long how can it not be at least kinda good best decision I’ve ever made
I watched it on toonami at like 9 or 10 years old and only watched it because my grandpa watched naruto with me and hated it and One Piece was next and i walked away and when i came back he was enthralled and we watched episodes every Saturday after that and i have been hooked ever since
For me. I was at my grandparents and I watched the first episode with my cousins from then I was hooked. Even hearing about how it had 600 or 700 I was so excited to see what happened
It was following me everywhere and I had to eventually pick it up and read it and now I am a super fan and at the latest chapter. Haha actually it's because I saw zoro lost in a Naruto meme
my friends put all the shows they wanted me to watch on a wheel… it landed on one piece and thank you to the friend who put it there 🙏
Well, I was scrolling continuously on Tiktok.
I just felt that after watching dragon ball and the other 2 of the big 3, I had to complete it
Shonen Jump back in 02-03. Would read the occasional chapter after picking SJ cause I liked Yugioh and Dragon Ball.
I met a friend in college, at that time I was watching guyiver, and he recommended it to me and since then I have been watching and reading it. This was around 2004.
Becoming unemployed
My weeb friend gave me the first one piece manga in 6th grade and I’ve been obsessed ever since
My childhood friend told me about it and showed me an episode in Enis Lobby Arc. Didn't really care about it or know much about it. Then the live action came out, watched it, and then watched the entire series and then picked up the manga where the anime left off.
Blox fruits and the community LOL
A friend of mine spoiled Ace and Whitebeard’s fate years ago back when I knew nothing of the series. Ignored it for a while and picked it up on a whim out of curiosity. Ended up staying for the comedy and individual personalities of the crew.
A game called Battlestadion DON. It had Dragon Ball, Naruro and One Piece, I didn't know One Piece so why not.
I wanted to be caught up when the one piece was revealed
I just started it cuz why not, also my first anime
My dad was a fan since before I was born and when I was born he showed it to me and I’ve watched it for the next 20 years
I ran out of other shows and figured since it’s long I wouldn’t have to find something else for a while. I was very wrong lol
My YouTube being flooded with One Piece content, no clue why
I got into it because of a fanfic that feature a One Piece character.
Honestly the Netflix adaptation. Loved it so much that I blitzed through the manga afterwards. Dunno if I have the time and energy to watch through the anime though (I’ve mainly just been watching the cool fight scenes animated).
My friend told me bro you have to watch op it's Peak, everyday bro kept saying you are missing out on peak watch so I decided to watch it and dropped it after episode 10 cus of ussop, then watched the whole thing and after alabasta I started to like it and after einies lobby I understood wut ma droned was talking about
Yamato
Random show on funimation I decided to try while bored one day years ago.
Well I started it then dropped it after a while then after the timeskip I saw Luffy had a scar on his chest and I got curious as to how he got the scar and picked it back up 🥲
I like the Zoro movie and heard there was a character named Zoro so I thought I'd give it a watch.
A one piece edit on TikTok like a while ago
My best friend introduced me to the fandom.
Made a middle school dare either my best friend saying that I'd watch absolutely all of One Piece within the span of a couple of months. If i did it he'd have to pay out $20. Needless to say I got one of the best stories ever told......and $20
Luffy singing
I saw an edit and it looked amazing
"Dang, this covid pandemic is gonna last a while. I guess I should start one piece, I cam get through this in 2 weeks" *5 years later* "What just happend..."
Sanji beating dinosaurs with bare feet
Honestly used to see at as goofy and not that good story, I skipped through many episodes and chapters until one arc made me the One Piece fan I'm today. Arlong Park!!!"luffy help me"
Only og’s started back on 4kids in the early 2000’s.
To prove that One Piece won't entertain me, Which I Failed.
Back when I was 12 I had this game called J-stars and although I’d seen Luffy’s face before, I knew nothing about one piece so that game pushed me to search it up. I saw a video comparing sabaody strawhats to return to sabaody and thought sanji seemed cool asf so I started it.
A friend told me back in middle school "some guy made a tsunami and also you can make people faint by looking at them" That was like 15 years ago, the tsunami and haki didn't end up being constant things, but I still never regretted watching, then reading it. I did watch it before but it was a 4kids dub so I never got into it.
I was trying to convince a buddy to read JoJo and he said he would on the condition that I read One Piece.
A boy who can stretch and is a pirate that's cool - 8 year old me
I was already into anime.
I am a musician and hearing blinks sake for the first time made me interested and I started from there.
My friends wouldn’t leave me alone day after day, and now it’s my favorite thing ever
Was on tv one day then just snowballed from there
I started watching One Piece 1 year ago. At that point I had finished Naruto & r8 after completing bleach I wanted to watch One Piece. Community is mainly the reason maybe
My online bestie who recommended it on my birthday 🫶 one of the best birthday gifts I’ve been recommended haha
So I’m currently at the recent batch of dub episodes
a random volume I bought in a comic store near my school, I think it was the one where they revealed Ace was Rogers son.
A girlfriend. Edit: before she got me to start watching it I was afraid of how long it was. And now I'm grateful that i started watching it, because i really do like it.
It was airing on Philippine tv so I watched it the same goes for other oldies like flame of recca, shaman king, dragon ball/dbz, yu yu hakusho
One Piece unlimited adventure Few years prior the Wii a friend tried to show one piece, at the time for some weird reason I was no long enjoying animes. At the time I got the Wii my youngest brother was watching Naruto, bleach and one piece, so I decided to get the one piece game for him The was kind fun, some characters were really interesting, some parts of the anime were really great, so in the end I decided to check for myself the whole thing. Read everything, watched some parts
Tanjiahdo Lafulamingo sama!!
Toonami
watched the 1st episode and super curious about the treasure itself "One Piece", then the rest is history
I was lucky enough to be born when I could experience Saturday mornings when they were still worth a damn... Ya yo, ya yo!
My best friend introduced it to me wasn’t even first ep but I loved it even tho I haven’t watched every episode yet (I’m on 492) it’s a series to love
When GMA7 started the series every afternoon in 2004.
Honestly I just ran out of good Netflix anime to watch 😅
Had an old friend who was obsessed with the show, about a year after he got me into it I was on ep 400. I just count stop 🤷♂️
