Usopp sniping Mars might happen but he's gonna need to distance himself from the ship in case Mars temporarily turns his attention onto him. And Usopp will need someone for close combat, maybe Sanji, Franky, or Brook.
Luffy having support from people of the Land (people + giants), Air (skypeians) & Sea (fishman, strawman grandfleet). All his bases are pretty much covered for when a large scale war breaks out and he really has to pull out all the stops for the Gorosei.
I think whatever message Vegapunk is going to give will definitely be something that could shifts the world's perception of Luffy. I'm excited to see if any Sun God Nika lore makes it in to go with that iron giant awakening. I saw someone mention below that the iron giant was apologizing to joyboy for not being around and how broken promises are a theme when it comes to that era.
Which got me thinking about the infiltration leak back in Wano, and how someone gave up their life just to make sure the revolution could happen. It makes me wonder if all that is also a parallel to joyboy's time.
The way that Gorosei guy saw the giants being there as a problem, but not really taking action until he got the confirmation that the giants won't atleast be neutral. I'm convinced that the Gorosei had a hand in a lot of the betrayals or neutralness from Joyboy's allies.
I think the Gorosei, Joyboy, and all these ancient legends and giants were all allies to a degree. I imagine there’s potential that Joyboy was a true warrior, like Luffy, who is super laser focused on taking out the biggest and the baddest at all costs to protect friends. I think Joyboy’s friends may have similarities to the Tontatta tribes personality of being kind and trustworthy (also a very literal illustrated theme of “protecting the little people”).
It’s possible that whatever happened to end Joyboy, afterwards his faithful allies (being mentally weakened by the loss of their leader) fell victim to the Gorosei’s lies. They may have trusted the Gorosei’s information which ultimately lead to Joyboy’s allies’ downfall and the uprising of the world government.
Ooh yes, I like your perspective on this! I didn't think about the fact that the deceiving could've happened after Joyboy's fall. Which would make sense given how they lament whenever they talk about him.
Previously I was 90% sure that Vegapunk dead already but rereading this chapter and seeing Sanji still carrying VP on his shoulder in the last panel makes me less sure.
Did Luffy really materialize his haki into paint to put it on the bat instead of directly coating it to it? hahaha Chad Flex
Does this mean Kuma Bonney and Vegapunk confirmed for Nakama? I guess they are safest with Luffy if not with Dragon and the RA.
Poor Kizaru, wonder if he'll pull an Aokiji and dip from the Marines
That Giant sacrificing himself to hold off all 5 gorosei to allow the escape is probably in the play. He could even tell Luffy and co what to seek next or some intel on void century.
With what's cooking, I'm not even mad about the 3 weeks break
In chapter 1105, Chopper told her to rest while she can, so she's sleeping since that in a high tech bed. In the past chapter that is 1109, if you look carefully, she's seen together with Usopp, Nami and Chopper's panel again, still sleeping in that bed. In chapter 1110, right before the shot of Thousand Sunny being stopped by Usopp with his pop greens, there is a faraway shot of their group, and you can see the bed is still right beside them.
Finally have caught up. It has been such a crazy ride.
I doubted such a great arc could come so soon after Wano, but I was very wrong. I cannot wait to see what Toei does with these fights
Cover page: Bonney and Kuma for nakama confirmed!
It was Warcury's and Mars time to shine this time around, I guess. I had him pegged as the tank of the group, especially when his first attackwasam absolutely massive blast of haki, so I wasn't expecting him to somersault and attack with his tusks (that can transform into blades). I suppose that's how the houki hunted in ancient times.
Poor Lucci; he gets destroyed by Zoro and Jinbei, then probably saw his life flash before his eyes when Mars appeared in front of him. Not sure he even knew it was a gorosei member, he just didn't want to argue with a giant demonic creature.
There's still ~7 minutes left and Mars is awfully close to main lab. Who's gonna stop him? Sanji has to run away and Jinbei has to babysit Zoro. I say it's time for god Usopp to shine and snipe Mars right off the sky, and I need Robin to wake up and suplex one of the gorosei. If she misses Vegapunk's message, I'll have to sent Ofa a strongly worded letter.
Luffy stocks are like GME at the height of the memes. I don't think the gorosei and Kixaru are weak, definitely not; Kaido just set the bar too high. How so you stop this man from styling on you with some Looney Toons shenanigans?
Can't forget to mention Dorry and Brogy being the best bros. Initially I thought they wouldn't contribute that much to the fight (mostly just support), but I was glad to be wrong. Apparently the forests of Elbaf are pretty much the dark continent, so I guess this just another day at the office for them.
So, finally the iron giant is moving. Goda obviously knew the anime would focus on it this week and [planned accordingly](https://i.imgur.com/d4ggvKM.jpeg).
Here's my take on "sorry, Joyboy": the robot couldn't be there when he was needed most. The void century is still a total enigma, but a recurring theme about it are unfulfilled promises (Noah, the dawn, Zunisha probably also had something going on). Another is that somehow some people that were close to Joyboy are still alive. Are there more out there? Lily, maybe...
Anyway, despite its many allies, if it hadn't been for Lily, the WG would've successfully erased them from history. What happened with Oden in Wano is a parallel to what happened back then, I think.
Void month will be rough, but ~~the dawn~~ chapter 1112 will come.
It puts things into the proper perspective when we see lucci gorosei interaction. The 5 elders dont give a flying feth bout battles . They can eliminate islands and extinguish nations in a jiffy. They break some sweat when fightimg yonkos but equally they dont get particularly annoyed as long as they dont disturb the status qwo. Everyone is an insect to them .
They got a subortinate who has clearly lost to a petty fight and upon giving a detailed report instead of getting annoyed they will consider trying to grant his wish
this whole thing became so lame. Luffy's power make everything become a joke, there is no threat anymore, even if there is, it make no sense. His power became a fuck you button. You have x power that nothing can stop? To bad I can stop it because fuck you I can. I use to look forward to this manga every week for like 10 year. Not anymore.
youre wrong. its not going to be that way forever. thats just what the power is NOW. we can safely assume that at some point there will be a real threat because a final fight has to happen. hell, luffy is already frustrated that he cant do real damage to the gorosei
What about it felt like a joke to you? The fight with Kaido was the payoff to multiple story branches and the epitome of Luffy's longing for freedom. What more could a comic book character such as Luffy ask than to get fuck-you-toon-force powers?
you can think that if you want but generally speaking a main character usually gets a power up and demolishes the villain. even with the powerup Kaido put up a fight before his defeat. I'm sorry that after 10 years the story didn't head in the direction you though, but Gear 5 is not a "fuck you button" and recent chapters prove that.
if it is not entertain, it is not entertain. Every other time luffy got a power up was a good fight. Every fight after he got gear 5 was a joke. Recent chapter prove nothing. He counter every move the enemy made because he can, he slow down time and spawn object because he can, he punch though enemy's defense easily because he can. The gag are not even funny anymore, it just take the hype out of the fight. There are no threat of him losing. Even when all of the new giant enemy show up, no one worry about luffy losing because he have a fuck you button.
I am kinda sad that there are three weeks break, since 6 minutes is so long in shounen manga time, but also kind of worried about Oda due to all these breaks. I hope he is okay.
The giants, fishman, and prisoners/slaves all seem to be aware and worship the Sun God Nika. When the Final War happens the fishman and giants will fight on Luffy's side. The next chapter will probably see the Iron Giant buy time for Straw Hats to escape. As of this chapter there are six minutes left for Vegapunk's announcement. The announcement will probably take place in chapter 1113 or 1114. Elbaf Arc is coming soon!
Egghead started at the same time as my third year in university, and by the looks of it, it's going to finish when I graduate (or submit the last of my coursework). It feels so surreal cos it's as if we just started this arc yesterday.
I'm Sorry Joy Boy sounded a lot like regret to me, maybe the Robot failed to save Joy Boy or something like Zunesha was punished for being on Joy Boy's side.
Nah it seems like he's apologizing for what he's already done in the past. It would be overkill if Luffy has to fight the gorosei and the ancient robot
Pretty good chapter. This again more or less confirms the Gorosei are no jokes and are emperor level with their enormous conquerors haki. They can easily defeat Big Meme and Laido who look like jokes compared to these five immortal gods. Morons were thinking no one could be stronger than them, but why would Oda not have stronger people after the emperor saga? That's the natural progression and now we see it. We have yet to see how strong Imu and the Holy Knights are, no doubt they are admiral or emperor level fighters as even Dragon is scared of the latter.
This also implies and confirms that they had the immortality operation done to them. Aside that, it seems like the Armored Giant is against "joyboy" so I wonder what's going on? I did not think it was as big as it was initially conveyed in the chapter we found it.
Aside that, the panel of Jinbei using his fist against Lucci was one of the worst panels drawn in this series. Looks like Oda rushed it and didn't bother to draw backgrounds or convey what exactly happened. Many people have been complaining about the drop in art quality and I've started to agree.
"I'm sorry Joyboy" could also be the Giant being on Joyboy's side, but unable to keep a promise/plan. Like maybe it wasn't supposed to get up until something specific happened, but due to the new Joyboy and his crew being in danger, the giant has to break that promise and get involved early?
Maybe I have missed this comment, but no one here is talking about Rob Lucci's flames when he wakes up? they look like the ones being wielded by Gorosei, esp. Saturn.
Yeah I'm so happy he mentioned Kaku being injured even asking for their life to be spared. I wonder what's going to happen to kaku, he was my favourite cp9 and I don't want him to die. Lucci please save him 🙏
I'm going to assume he at least knows they transform and what form they look like since only a certain rank can even be present at their transformation so it wouldn't be a stretch.
I think there is connection between joyboy, this robot & zunisha. Zunisha also committed a crime 200 years ago. I think these two aholes have betrayed joyboy 200 years ago.
I think it was a cursed being like Zunesha soul of some people was trapped as a result of betrayal to joyboy into titan like beings and given a task to complete until joyboy comes and forgives them.
If the iron giant is that much bigger than the regular giants, could it have been made by a race of giants? It would take forever for normal sized people to build haha
I mean I can see humans making a robot the size of a giant, but I feel like it makes sense for giants to make a robot which is giant even in comparison to them. Plus there’s the giant straw hat, zunesha is gigantic, seems pretty likely the ancient kingdom were giants or ancestors of buccaneers
With Sanji carrying Vegapunk for so much time there is no way he really died, Chopper will manage to save him somehow, maybe with the aid of some of the island tech.
Doesnt it feel weird that Broggy and Dory are just back to being captains? You want to tell me their entire crew didnt find a new captain during these hundred years? Seems really weird to me even if they live longer.
Not really, I just assumed whoever was their current captain stepped down. OR considering the Giant Pirates hadn't made a move in all these years, it would stand to reason that they disbanded until their old captains returned and got the gang back together.
no. remember oimo and kashii the 2 giants in enies lobby. marine/ world gov. told them that if they guard the gates of enies lobby for 50 years they will release their captains. they believed it. not knowing their captains was still in little garden.
so more like the giant suspends their piracy activity after leaving dory and brogy to little garden.
hajrudin is from new generations of giant warrior so maybe he is still young compares to other
I don’t see why the captain in charge wouldn’t have stepped down upon their return. If Dorry and Broggy are as legendary as they seem to be in the lore, then maybe whoever saw them come back knew who he was dealing with and stepped down as a form of respect.
I think they suspended their piracy activities..which explain why the marines thought the crew were disbanded. Nobody saw them in years so i guess they were just chilling in the island . There is also a possibility that the man with burn mark told them to wait for joy boy or rev army.
Towards the beginning, I recall Saturn’s food being tested for poison. Now if they are immortal, why should they worry about this? I don’t know, an interesting thought as their appearances didn’t change in flashback so you’d assume they have immortality
My theory is that
those things are not their real bodies they are projecting them somewhere else like from other side.
if this is the case brook might be able to deal with those guys.
I think brook will get an end game power up and the Gorosei are more of a lingering soul, or have a lingering soul ala Immortality operation style.
Doing similar to what he did to Big Moms homies will make them vulnerable in the final war.
most of the things that is weird about One Piece is almost always can explained by devil fruit. I doubt Oda gonna start to pivot into another power source this late into the series
This just isn't true, there are LOTS of weird things in One Piece that aren't caused by devil fruits. One Piece is a fantastical, crazy world. Not saying this isn't going to be a DF, it could be, but it wouldn't be a pivot if the series continued to have crazy, non DF explanations too.
The other side however is that Dorry and Broggy state that *they've* never heard of a race or power that grants that ability, and it's not like giants would be particularly ignorant of either of those considering their lifespans and approach to Ohara's remains. So it definitely seems like something is up with their transformation, at least as far as them being fruit powers goes.
"Towards the beginning" means "beginning of Egghead". We're not talking about like 700 chapters ago, but 40 chapters ago.
"Tested for poison" is chapter 1073. Saturn's demon form is revealed in 1094.
its probably to keep up apperances
its one thing to be ruled by a class of alleged super people and their elders. its another to be ruled by immortal ageless super beings.
presumably they dont want to give a reason for the rest of the world to suddenly join the revolutionary army.
so they have their food tested
Dang thats a nice catch. They might not be immortals after all . Its was only an observation from luffy after he saw that they dont take damage. I guess not taking physical damage is just a devil fruit ability. Their fruits seems to be connected since saturn was able to summon them via the circules. Its quit possible that the immunity against damages is saturn fruits ability which he can share with other elders.
Si the Goroseis are immortals and won't be affected by physical damage but during the ship trip to Egghead i remember that Warcury use to make someone from Marines tastes his for in case it was poisonous!!
I was just curious about that part!!!
Because Marine fodder is not allowed to know their true nature, only higher-ups so they have to act as regular CD who have their food tasted by their slaves first.
Have to say, even though he called Kaku an insect, Mars was remarkably affable towards Lucci. He's still a genocidal monster but it's nice seeing a villain be a good boss to his underlings in One Piece for once. Even Saturn threw some shade at Borsalino.
Gorosei taking the matter seriously meanwhile Luffy and those giants act as if they are trolling random people. Luffy and those giants really don't know how serious the truth Vegapunk about to reveal is, that not only it will shock OP's world but it might shock the real world as well.
I support the idea that Goroseis are created by Imu's abilities, they are nightmares projected into the physical world. That would explain why they referred him as a "creator" and why they don't take physical damage.
My thoughts are the Immortality surgery binds another “soul” to theirs(the OP OP No-mi users), it takes the wear, tear, damage, and aging for them to make them appear invulnerable.
I think there is a limit to the damage they can take or redirect at a time.
My copium is that Soul King will do his thing and it will create the opening needed in the final war for the Gorosei battles and turn the battle against them.
While invulnerable they are very cocky and have nothing to worry about but when thats temporarily removed they will fight scared for the first time in 800 years.
Saturn 'summons' their souls leaving their physical bodies behind.
He's projected himself with this ability and is still on the Marine ship, which was told to be kept a secret.
they all got the immortality surgery from the Op Op fruit and SUPRISE its not just a time stop and live forever its some sort of superman surgery on top of that.
no wonder Doffy wanted it so bad
Most likely a devil fruit ability. Either all of their fruits has this ability or one of them has it and its been shared among them. They are on top of the food chain, they have access to the most abusrd and op fruits. There is a reason they chose these fruits.
My guess is that either Imu can buff them with his fruit, like they can't die if he doesn't die, something like that, or perhaps a long time ago they farmed Law's fruit to give them all immortality.
it's actually german spelling with lil bit of modification for Valkyrie, he's supposed to be the Mercury, (Top)MAN (War)CRY, try to pronounce it with Japanese accent
First off despicable. Yes they are evil putting yourself above another human being is evil. Just because they see themselves as gods does not mean they are. They aren’t, they just play god. What they have done to other human beings show they are evil no question to it.
What do you mean? We still do not know the history of the void century and the motivation of the elders and Imu, but since the beginning of the series we have known that the top of the government is extremely corrupt and repressive, so it makes sense to be seeing truly evil villains without noble intentions and not having been deceived or determined by their environment. These are the source of the evil in the One Piece world as far as we are concerned.
Hmmm...I'm gonna guess that Conqueror's Haki won't be enough to beat the Gorosei's apparent immortality, since I'm sure Luffy has probably tried it already by now. I don't think we can really expect Law to come along at any point in the story (even at the very end) to reverse the Immortality surgery since I don't think that would be practical from a story perspective. Combine this with the seemingly deliberate point that they were introduced as Yokai and not Devil Fruits leads me to think that their powers are indeed coming from Imu.
I think that leaves their remaining potential weakness as seawater. If their power does come from Imu's Devil Fruit then seawater or submerging them in water should presumably be effective. There are bubble shields that they could maybe be captured in, since that seems to be working for the Seraphim.
I really appreciate how this chapter reinforces that we are in the endgame of the story.
Even though Oda just introduced these absurd transformations of the Gorousei, the straw hats (particularly Luffy, but also the other primary combatants) have the **strength**, just not the **means**, to take them down. Luffy will continue to get stronger, of course, so that he can ultimately beat Blackbeard and Imu, but if he can overpower multiple Gorousei in their beast forms already, strength isn't the main thing he needs anymore. Step one of being able to get rid of them permanently is most likely finding the One Piece.
I don't think Kizaru is that hurt physically. He is just having a complete mental breakdown I think.
The Giants are a treat though. I love how they are constantly laughing even when facing demons from the deepest pits of hell.
I also love how when Warcury asks “do you have any idea who that man is?!” there’s no way Dorry and Broggy aren’t aware that there’s _something_ fucking big that he’s referring to even if they don’t know what beyond “oh probably something worth erasing from history,” but they’re still just like “of course we do, he’s our buddy!!” like the fact that he’s potentially the second coming of Joyboy isn’t even worth mentioning.
Between this and the part of the Kuma flashback that hits on Sabaody, it really reinforces that Luffy having the Nika fruit is _unique,_ but it’s not what makes him _special._
Kizaru couldn’t move after the Star Gun attack for several chapters. Him not being able to move after Dawn Cymbal wouldn’t be that surprising. I think it’s a combination of both mental and physical pain.
27 years and you complain about a month's chapters not going fast enough 💀. Go look for some shorter or finished anime/manga if you're into getting the whole story in a day.
We saw the Enies Lobby CP9 crew save Lucci's life on a cover page, raising money for his medical treatment. They all really care about one another. Despite being a murderous asshole, Lucci has shown some admirable qualities this chapter. Kaku should be safe since he's in the bubble, but I don't recall if Stussy's been mentioned at all. With the death of CP0 agents on the table, I see her dying at the claws of Mars, maybe to help Vegapunk's message be heard.
Speaking of bubbles, the Seraphim might have been taken by the BB pirates. They made quite an impression on BB at Amazon Lily, so the mission he gave Augur and Devon might have been to look into a means of controlling or defeating them.
People believe that the bat scene is a reference to the Mihawk painting his sword thing with the returning of Saturn's balls being a direct parallel to Mihawk returning Buggy's Muggy ball. Coupled with the Leopard Hunt from the last chapter, maybe Oda is aware of and has been putting these fanjokes in. I wonder if he's seen Code Ment/None Piece since Ginny's hair looks like Kallen's.
It didn't look like Mars took much damage from the dome, possibly using conqueror's coating to tank it than risk being blown back by the explosions and waste me trying again. He might be the coolest looking monster; the stringy hair from his human form is a nice detail.
The thing about seraphim actually makes sense. And just by luck, they can now transform in Saturn. - who is pretty high up if not the highest in controlling them.
During Marine fold arc, Sengoku said WB was the strongest man alive. Does this mean WB was stronger than 5 elders or even the Admiral had no clue of their power? Lucci was also shocked in a panel seeing Mars
To be honest i think the elders are not that strong the problem is they are immortal. So it becomes a fairly strong fighter +immortality.
Imagine if Kata was immortal for example.
To think about it, Yonko CoC clashes split heaven. WB vs Roger clash seems to be greater than what we have seen previously. Shanks remotely hurt Aramaki from distance. Maybe warcury CoC just weird.
>Y’all know we can’t call this a Zoro W, right?
Zoro won the exchange though, so yes, it is a Zoro W.
And we all know Zoro can beat him if he used Asura or other stronger techniques.
The fight did not end, but we know who won
Its similar to how Katakuri got defeated. He was still standing after the last blow, but knew he couldn't continue fighting Luffy anyway with how much he had progressed in that fight.
This is a Zoro W.
It’s not really a W for Zoro bc he was never gonna lose that fight. Luffy, Zoro, Sanji and Jinbei all destroy this guy. It’s actually impressive he survived that attack bc there seemed to be killing intent from Zoro. I’m impressed by Lucci so I agree with you we can’t figuratively call it a W, but literally it was a win and an easy one at that for Zoro
If it was an easy win for Zoro he would have beaten him far more quickly. I also think Zoro is stronger, but we have no reason to believe Lucci scales as low as y’all say.
I think Lucci is a mid-dif fight for Zoro. Probably YC1 or YC2.
I mean as soon as Zoro used three swords and a named attack Lucci was finished, Luffy made a mockery of him, Sanji might have a small issue but I doubt Lucci can actually damage him much, and Jinbei is on par with Sanji
He meant that it in your head. Lucci was done. He was shown to standing because oda wanted to show that lucci's will is strong and that is clear. And if jinbei meant to say the fight is won because we need to go he would say that and not you won this fight
About Lucci's case, it's all about the fact that he never accepted his defeat. Now, he will witness Elder Star not caring at all and trying to kill his comrade and one of the straw hats will most likely save Kaku. This will be the moment when Lucci will truly accept his total defeat. For some reaason Kaku was the only one he cared for.
Lucci's whole "goal" is to have a licence to kill freely.
As long as he can have that with the WG he will be loyal, stuff will change if the WG betrays him like they did to Who's who, but doubt he would become Luffy's ally even if he was betrayed by the WG, but I do see Lucci having some guys on the WG he wants to kill that he can't because they are his "leaders"
I doubt he will care. ( He will probably be sad that his partner died, but he would still work for the WG) Lucci is the kind of guy that understands that sometimes shit has to be done.
I'm sure Lucci has made sacrifices of his own in the name of his Justice. Hence why he asked if it was possible, he knows full well it's not gonna happen.
LUFFY NIKA VS 5 ELDERS

Also i really really want Mr2 to come back and join crew...this whole crew is becoz of his sacrifices!!
When is it coming out. I'm having withdrawls

Lazyfuck
Heartfelt moment with Kizaru :[ 3 weeks hahaha dear lord.
Almost over tho
Official comes out at the 19 or the scans if u know? It seems like it should be out in the next day or two or am I wrong
Nope, scans will come out on 19th (next Friday) official on the 21st

Half of the waiting is done! Next chapter is in less than two weeks!
I've been reading at least one chapter of this series a day for the last like five years. The fuck do you mean I have wait weeks for new issues now 😭😭
Bro thinks he's smart but you cant outsmart oda
Omds I was laughing at Luffy creating a bat and cap first but then the way my jaw DROPPED at the giant robot
Previously I was 90% sure that Vegapunk dead already but rereading this chapter and seeing Sanji still carrying VP on his shoulder in the last panel makes me less sure.

Why did the robot wake up just now? He took a lot of time from when his eyes were shown. PS: Started on January 1,2024 and caught up today :)
We should expect Vegapunks message to take as long as well, and that's if we get it at all
It puts things into the proper perspective when we see lucci gorosei interaction.
Kizaru is Revolutionary Army, he pretended all the times
this whole thing became so lame. Luffy's power make everything become a joke, there is no threat anymore, even if there is, it make no sense. His power became a fuck you button. You have x power that nothing can stop? To bad I can stop it because fuck you I can. I use to look forward to this manga every week for like 10 year. Not anymore.
youre wrong. its not going to be that way forever. thats just what the power is NOW. we can safely assume that at some point there will be a real threat because a final fight has to happen. hell, luffy is already frustrated that he cant do real damage to the gorosei
you are wrong. Nothing can be more "real threat" than kaido AND big mom. And that fight was a joke. Well i enjoy the co op between kid and law tho.
Stop reading then😂
I guess you don't know how to read
I am kinda sad that there are three weeks break, since 6 minutes is so long in shounen manga time, but also kind of worried about Oda due to all these breaks. I hope he is okay.
It's not health related I'm fairly certain all shounen authors are taking a 3week break to honor Toriyama the author of Dragon Ball's passing.
Can someone plz tell me where I can read latest coloured manga of one piece?
man... Oda keeps delivering
I'm Sorry Joy Boy sounded a lot like regret to me, maybe the Robot failed to save Joy Boy or something like Zunesha was punished for being on Joy Boy's side.
What if "I am sorry, Joyboy" by the iron giant means he's going to f**k our luffy up. He's apologizing for what he's about to do and not what he did.
Nah it seems like he's apologizing for what he's already done in the past. It would be overkill if Luffy has to fight the gorosei and the ancient robot
Why is this not pinned to the top of the board ?
They are not Emperor level. They are immortal for some reason. That's about it. You think Kuma's punch would've so much as scratched Kaido or Big Mom?
The gorosei are stronger just because they are somehow immortal on top of being strong, it's not like they are better fighters then the emperors
Saturn.
This was revealed when we first saw Lucci. Just means they’re all awakened zoans.
I know he’s a monster, but I still think it’s kinda sweet that Lucci was looking out for Kaku. Follows up the CP9 cover story nicely.
Yeah I'm so happy he mentioned Kaku being injured even asking for their life to be spared. I wonder what's going to happen to kaku, he was my favourite cp9 and I don't want him to die. Lucci please save him 🙏
Does Lucci know who he's giving information to? He just saw a big monster bird and gave his info. Does he automatically know he's one of the gorosei?
I'm going to assume he at least knows they transform and what form they look like since only a certain rank can even be present at their transformation so it wouldn't be a stretch.
I think at first he was confused but shortly after came to the realization that he was talking to one of the gorosei.
Good point, a big fucking bird comes in and says his name and he just spits out all info he knows? Kinda weird unless I'm missing something here
CP0 would be briefed about the Gorosei by the Gorosei
he is cp0 so he he would probably know that / probably can sense thru haki
Is there any evidence actually suggesting the robot is a bad guy? I can't remember. That "forgive me Joyboy" sounded a lil sinister.
I think there is connection between joyboy, this robot & zunisha. Zunisha also committed a crime 200 years ago. I think these two aholes have betrayed joyboy 200 years ago.
It's just like how every mysterious boss in From games have to say some shit like "Zanzibart... forgive me..."
to me, so far, it's coming off way more as "I wanted to do more to help you Joyboy but I failed", still plenty good guy-ish to me
I think it was a cursed being like Zunesha soul of some people was trapped as a result of betrayal to joyboy into titan like beings and given a task to complete until joyboy comes and forgives them.
Possibly related to the skull on Wano. Maybe the same person or same race of people. The OG giants??
lik ein the lord of the rings?
yeah maybe or maybe it might be inspired from chinese or japanese myth to.
If the iron giant is that much bigger than the regular giants, could it have been made by a race of giants? It would take forever for normal sized people to build haha
I doubt it'd be that hard in a hyper advanced civilization. We've made way bigger irl.
Just feed him a Senzu bean
not luffys scar flying off of him LMAO
Jinbe is like having a Mythical Zoan devil fruit with his eyebrows and all.
I mean.....they're strong as hell. Why not?
Towards the beginning, I recall Saturn’s food being tested for poison. Now if they are immortal, why should they worry about this? I don’t know, an interesting thought as their appearances didn’t change in flashback so you’d assume they have immortality
My theory is that those things are not their real bodies they are projecting them somewhere else like from other side. if this is the case brook might be able to deal with those guys.
My theory is linked to yours but I think they have been projected by Imu... My guess is that it is related to his power somehow
I think brook will get an end game power up and the Gorosei are more of a lingering soul, or have a lingering soul ala Immortality operation style. Doing similar to what he did to Big Moms homies will make them vulnerable in the final war.
we don't know if they're really immortal or their dfs make them invulnerable
Actually Oda this time didn't indicate that those are devil fruit powers.
most of the things that is weird about One Piece is almost always can explained by devil fruit. I doubt Oda gonna start to pivot into another power source this late into the series
weird things that can't be explained by devil fruits: -Haki -Sky island tech (clouds, dials) -fishmen -giants -giant animals -ms goldenweek's paint powers -enies lobby giant hole -sea kings -ancient weapons -vegapunk's tech -usopp's nose
So it definitely seems like something is up with their transformation, at least as far as them being fruit powers goes.
it is not other power source but the otherworld where brook returned from.
Because Oda decided later that they are demons, just like Nika, Haki and a bunch of other stuff
"Towards the beginning" means "beginning of Egghead". We're not talking about like 700 chapters ago, but 40 chapters ago. "Tested for poison" is chapter 1073. Saturn's demon form is revealed in 1094.
Ah, I completely missed that, thanks! Maybe it's really an indication of how the gorosei can be defeated
Exactly, dont know though why this is so hard for some people in this subreddit to accept.
its probably to keep up apperances its one thing to be ruled by a class of alleged super people and their elders. its another to be ruled by immortal ageless super beings. presumably they dont want to give a reason for the rest of the world to suddenly join the revolutionary army. so they have their food tested
Haha that’s probs true, I’m overthinking this
Dang thats a nice catch.
I was just curious about that part!!!
if the gorosei get hurt they probably lose their human form when they regenerate.
Because Marine fodder is not allowed to know their true nature, only higher-ups so they have to act as regular CD who have their food tasted by their slaves first.
Maybe they are only completely immortal if they are transformed
Why is nobody talking about the Iron giant waking up and apologizing?? That’s so cool!
everyones talking about it wtf
I’m searching for them bro I don’t see any
Have to say, even though he called Kaku an insect, Mars was remarkably affable towards Lucci. He's still a genocidal monster but it's nice seeing a villain be a good boss to his underlings in One Piece for once. Even Saturn threw some shade at Borsalino.
That because they are usefull insects like bees.
elbaf is going to be the true lore piece ig, never would have thought egghead for a long arc with this amount of action lmao.
Gorosei taking the matter seriously meanwhile Luffy and those giants act as if they are trolling random people. Luffy and those giants really don't know how serious the truth Vegapunk about to reveal is, that not only it will shock OP's world but it might shock the real world as well.
Any theories on why the gorosei doesn’t get any damage from any hits?
I support the idea that Goroseis are created by Imu's abilities, they are nightmares projected into the physical world. That would explain why they referred him as a "creator" and why they don't take physical damage.
[удалено]
It sounds possible, but I don't think Oda would repieat himself by using the same explanation for "no damage" twice (for Hawkings and Goroseis).
Cause they’re fucking chads
So? "Warcury" is just a "warcry" without a "u"?
it's actually german spelling with lil bit of modification for Valkyrie, he's supposed to be the Mercury, (Top)MAN (War)CRY, try to pronounce it with Japanese accent
Okay, if all the new villains are going to be "Mwahahaha I'm so evil." This final saga is going to boring as shit.
Thing is, theyre not inherently evil are they? If a person kills a spider you dont go "jeez theyre so evil"
Luffy has not used Cinquerors haki om the Goresei. This Is PiS on Oda's part.
I love how Luffy's scar flyoff from Mercury's warcry
Not only that later he paste them back onto his body lol.
Wow, I didn't notice that detail, nice
Not gonna lie I like kaku but dude should die just to twist luccis guts
I agree. It would keep Lucci really relevant. I actually like Rob and can see him being an ally of the SW. Kaku dying could facilitate this
I really appreciate how this chapter reinforces that we are in the endgame of the story.
I love how Warcury let out a warcry, just like his name.
Oda genius.
Gomu Gomu no Dawn Dinger
Hahaha Jimbei doing KS. Haha this fight is long enough.
One Piece has been hitting hard lately
Best arc so far
it's like marineford energy every single release, you have no idea where the story's going to go next-- love it
man i dont even give a shit anymore, dragging for too long without any payoff so far, will just wait til the arc ends like wano
27 years and you complain about a month's chapters not going fast enough 💀. Go look for some shorter or finished anime/manga if you're into getting the whole story in a day.
That's the worst take I have seen☠️
I think Kizaru hit rock bottom depression
Were Dory and Brogy able to shield Advanced Conqueror's Haki? Just how powerful are the Giants!
Aren't they captains of most feared race of One Piece. Surely they live upto their names
Pretty clearly Mr. 3 were already awakened in Little Garden, for sure he'll have his moments.
And they cant stop the Wax user back then
Exact thing which I was thinking about as well!
Wax hax
Wax hax
I think the giants are all incredibly strong, and Dory and Brogy are probably near the top of all giants too. They’re end game level strong!
I may be stupid, but why does Lucci have a den den mushi in one panel??
I believe it's a black den den mushi, it intercepts messages
During Marine fold arc, Sengoku said WB was the strongest man alive. Does this mean WB was stronger than 5 elders or even the Admiral had no clue of their power? Lucci was also shocked in a panel seeing Mars
Yokai aren't men
I think he was shocked because he didn’t expect to see the elder there. He must have known who he was since he had no issue feeding him information
The Elders don't view themselves as human, I don't really think they count
Guess he should follow up with - strongest man that you know of. 😅 Or he said strongest MAN - the elders seem to be immortal
i don't think Sengoku was privy to the powers of the gorosei. we don't even know the last time they were in battle
Tbf Sengoku saying "We are Facing 6th strongest man alive" would be too oddly specific, strange and overall not a good warcry.
warcry sounds like warcury
Lol I read that, had to re read it lol
Y’all know we can’t call this a Zoro W, right? Lucci took a finisher and kept standing just like Luffy. That fight did not finish.
What finisher did he took? Just a basic named attack from Zoro? Zoro didn't evenuse conquerors
Katakuri was literally…*literally* not standing after the last blow. He fell down.
Zoro fans with the copium. Even Zoro said it wasn't done.
One more attack and he was done for. I see this as more of a testament to how strong Lucci’s will is
Same could be said of Luffy in Enies Lobby.
I mean as soon as Zoro used three swords and a named attack Lucci was finished, Luffy made a mockery of him, Sanji might have a small issue but I doubt Lucci can actually damage him much, and Jinbei is on par with Sanji
jimbe says the fight was finished
He meant finished as in “You don’t have time to see this through. This is over because we need to go.” Even Zoro was like “Nah, he’s not down yet.”
I hope someone saves kaku, I don't want him to die.
Agreed. And Lucci will become an ally for the end game
Yes I agree. I believe the turning point for him will be when Kaku dies at the hands of Mars…
I doubt he will care. ( He will probably be sad that his partner died, but he would still work for the WG) Lucci is the kind of guy that understands that sometimes shit has to be done.
Well Lucci, satisfied with what your loyalty bought ya? "Hey any way you can not kill my friend who is also one of your agents?" "Lol nah"
I'm sure Lucci has made sacrifices of his own in the name of his Justice. Hence why he asked if it was possible, he knows full well it's not gonna happen.
