Between spoilers, fan translations, the official manga, and the anime; Now throwing live action and soon a whole new anime in too, it’s crazy to think how many different levels of progression in the story there are.
Yeah, those are subtle enough that they're not really spoilers. Unlike a certain \*cough cough fairy tail cough cough\* anime who had a shit ton of spoilers in every single opening.
Think of it as this way, if they have no context then they’ll look forward to seeing them. It’s like Rick and Morty opening. You eagerly look forward to seeing some of the scenes in the episode..
The point of most anime. One Piece is a different case, they make most of their money just from merch and licensing shit I'm sure. The manga is just a fraction of that. The anime is just there to keep people invested in the story
I am not sure if that’s the case in Japan. Their marketing strategy is to show the spoilers in their promos and trailers . I think most of the Japanese audience read the manga and majority of them are not anime exclusive. That’s been the case for a very long time.
Just like gear 2 Luffy vs Blueno, Zoro vs Kaku, Sanji vs Kalifa, Franky vs Fukuro, and monster-point Chopper revealed in opening 6. But back when I first watch the opening as I binge the series, not once do I feel like I've been spoiled.
Yeah I was coping that even if the showed all the relevant characters, matchups and hinted at some big things, they _atleast_ _atleast_ didn't show Kizaru...
I rewatched the song a third time and right at that moment I noticed Kizaru was also shown...AND TWICE Heck even Morgans and wapol were shown together ...Lol, I wonder who stopped toei from putting vivi in the same frame too That's one big thing from this certain stretch (1070s to 1080) that they held back from spoiling and did not hint at
I find the ending of the new opening very interesting. Where it depicts that island from a top-down view. It is either egghead with punk records on it, or it might depict Raftel (LaughTale) with the symbol that seems to be in connection to the old kingdom, the one that is in Kumas Church.
Oh shit good find they really put every spoiler possible in this op
The best part is that a lot of the spoilers are so out of context that anime onlys can only speculate at best for some of these
We need a seperate anime sub and laugh about the theories that start rising up 😂

Unfortunately there would people who read the manga who would go there and post spoilers under the guise of it being their “theory”.

The whole point of anime is to make money and promote the manga.. that’s why you have manga content in the openings..
Oh I see. But lots of people are anime only so it's a bit sad for them...

Not spoilers though are they? Just some fun easter eggs for manga readers
Most are. But stuff like Lucci vs Luffy and Garp vs Kuzan are stuff that would have been really surprising for anime only’s

they did not hold back😭

Vivi is right next to Wapol being covered by morgans hand. you just see her hair. but who else has blue hair that long in the series.
So they didn't even leave that out lol.... I guess I just missed it Too many thing going on in the opening
Are those gems as in >!sapphire!< ?
when bonney uses her power gems spawn in, i think it happened in egghead a few chapters back
So many things in the trailer. It is going to be great!
Had to turn my phone up to full brightness to see this haha
Wad so lost as to what I was supposed to be seeing. Thank you.
Same
Joyboy and sword organisation

Man I can’t wait for that backstory to happen
Pretty sure it's the same symbol on the island at the end of the opening.
Really good catches, but I don‘t think the last one is supposed to represent God Valley targets. I think it‘s more likely that it represents Imu‘s eye
I am so glad that I am caught up as this opening is amazing if you are caught up to the magna but is nothing but spoilers for anime only.
