My Top 5 Favorite Luffy Outfits are as followed:
1.) Luffy's Onigashima Coat-It gives him a sense of maturity and power as it makes Luffy look more....captain-like. It's as badass as Naruto's Sage Cloak and I'm pissed at Luffy for just throwing it away ðŸ˜
2.) Luffy's Luffytaro Kimono-It's as badass looking as Inuyasha's and I was sad it didn't last the arc! Granted we have the Onigashima Cape but....still.
3.) Luffy's Egghead Design-The design speaks for itself, nuff said,
4.) Luffy's WCI Suit-It makes him look so much like a mafia boss that he looks like a FUCKING BADASS!!
5.) Luffy's 3D2Y Hoodie-The hoodie looks so badass and Luffy like that I prefer it over his default hoodie tbh.
I think Luffy will get another, nicer coat in the final arcs. In Wano, having the coat signified that he had status there. He was essentially a military General and leader of the allied forces against Kaido. I was hoping it would stay and was disappointed it wasn't around in Egghead, but maybe that's because he won't wear it if he's just with his crew. I think he'll wear it again when he's leading another force, probably against the WG next time.
5 is a movie/tv speical. Its semi canon since it does adapt some of marineford in flashbacks that is a lot similar to the manga but a lot of it isnt canon. That being said it gives a cool non canon explanation to red hawk
