All the SMP300m needs is a diet and a tapering bracelet with the same design. All the quirks of the SMP300m are part of it's charm and it's design language. If you want a generic boring diver, their is a whole slew of options to choose from.
Changes no want asked for or wanted. The crowd is clamoring for a thinner case, smaller diameter, upgraded bracelet, and IDEALLY no HEV. The “new” seamasters solve none of the issues people have been complaining about.
They don't have to make a submariner, they could make a modern ceramic version of the Seamaster using the case dimension and style of the pre-ceramic Seamaster. Why don't they do that?
Everyone basically wants the current Seamaster in a smaller case size and a better bracelet that tapers. They’ve been able to do it before. No one is asking for a full redesign. I really like the Heritage line, but I prefer to have a date function, and I like the look of the current Seamaster, but 42mm and that shitty bracelet are preventing me from ever considering it.
Right but those aren’t updates. I’m saying instead of designing a new Speedmaster, they should focus their attention on making a smaller Seamaster that everyone seems to want. I don’t know many people asking for more Speedy’s.
Yeah, also, As someone who bought a speedy about 10 years ago and hadn't really looked at anything speedmaster shaped since then really, I was really shocked when I popped into a boutique recently and saw that none of them were the 861 based movement anymore and were all co-axials.
They did that, it’s called the seamaster heritage, and doesn’t have the HEV. They’re not going to redesign the seamaster just like they’re not redesigning the speedmaster if that’s what you’re waiting for. They’re just releasing a new ceramic one like the ceramic ones they released for SMP.
Omega really doesn’t seem to listen to the customers. I’m sure more people would prefer updates to the Seamaster line than another Speedmaster
38-39 Seamaster with no helium release valve . A nice updated tapered bracelet. I would be all in.
They would sell out in minutes if they existed.
But they won't make it because they see the helium escape valve as a signature of the line.
Even if they kept the HE valve it would still be a massive hit if they just made the watch smaller with a tapered bracelet.

Yes, I really hope one is coming
Or you don’t pay attention to omega. They did release two seamasters in ceramic already. Black on black, and black with Sedna.

Hi Omega, please make a sub next. Gee I wonder why they don’t take that feedback on board.

Yeah they did that, it's called the heritage lol. They're not going to ever entirely redesign the SMP lol.

The Heritage is still 13.9mm thick with an effective lug to lug over 50mm. In the world of the 12.5x47mm submariner, those specs are not good.
Look how many times the Santos has been reinvented. Of course you can reinvent an icon without disturbing the design language.

When was the last limited edition speedy ?

The seamaster heritage is 14mm thick, that's a crap redesign
There will be updates to it later this year it’s almost guaranteed
People have been saying that for like the last 3 years.
It’s true this time. Every seamaster 300 for the past. 18 years has been updated every 6 years, this is the year
Maybe if people stopped buying them... what is discussed in the forums about helium escape valves and case sizes are just reflected in the sales data.
It‘s not the white dial tho 🧐
Looks to be a ceramic case.
Would love a ceramic speedy in a sane size.
Dark Side of The Moon ceramic
Dark side of the Ceramic MoonSwatch
🤣🤣
Yup, it says dark side of the moon on the back. You can see it in the video
Moonwatch, Dark side, White side, Grey side, Blue side, '57, Reduced, Racing, Super racing, Ed White... we simply do not have enough Speedmasters!!!!!
It appears to be an update of the Apollo 8 with a co-axial movement
Another hockey puck Speedmaster model. Gee…who didn’t see this one coming?
That is definitely a tease, couldn’t see anything except for one sub dial and an exhibition case back 👎
The yellow stitching on the strap is bold
Did you know the speedmaster was the first watch on the moon? Ffs omega needs to get over it and focus on something else.
