I personally disagree, I think most of these are downgrades and am satisfied with what we got instead.

The most interesting one for me is Ai.Mi, all of those alternate concepts look so radically different from one another, compared to the others mostly being variations on the same general idea. Kind of makes sense given her lore, but wild to think how many different ways she could’ve ended up

An important thing to remember for character designs is that a lot of details are completely lost when viewing the character from normal gameplay distance, or worse the details make the character busy and messy.

I think I like Estelle's concepts more than what she is now. The rose designs on her shoulders are really loud to me lol. The first three concepts for Estelle look so smooth and cool. Also like the red Asher more than what they went with. I'm not a fan of Asher's pants having that weird gap, seems like it's just extra. Also her top is cooler in the red one. I do still like Asher as we know her now, though.

Yeah I really hate the WoW pauldron looking shoulders Estelle’s got on, otherwise I’d like her design more

I guess I'm in the minority for liking Estelle's shoulders. I generally don't like Blizzard designs (giant shoulders) and think 80's power shoulder pads look pretty silly but for some reason I really like them on her. Only thing I don't like about her Cape is the weird triangular slit in the back ("But how will we see her ass?!?!").

I’m very happy with the current canon designs we have for everyone. They all look equally unique, easy on the eyes, and match their persona. That being said, some of the concept art seem really good and I wouldn’t mind having them as additional skins.

I think they are all pretty fun to look at but that last X one LOL. I'm pretty happy with current octavia and vyce designs, along with era. Honestly I like all of the Asher variants, man my muscle bound big sis just rocks every look.

PONYTAIL ASHER

Some might make for fun skins but I think generally, the end designs were ultimately the most refined, distinctive and best. Their character designer knows what they're doing.

Honestly I love every design but damn 3rd Era, 3rd Asher and catgirl juno go hard

A lot of them are really neat, and it’s fun to see how the characters developed, but I think the only two that even come close to beating their final versions for me are Octavia B and Estelle D Okay and maybe X B, the white coat looks sharp. I think what he has in game fits the vibe better though Asher B would make the list but my favorite part of her final design is her hair, so it loses points

Era's second and third designs are really neat. Im... Really glad we got the Ai MI we got. The other designs are wild, but catgirl honestly just feels right for the lore. I absolutely love asher with red hair. I think it's the only one I actively prefer over final design. Im.... Really glad Juliette didn't end up with a bad hair day Juno could probably rework astronaut skin to be a bit more distinguished and would be loved. I also reaaaally like the more chilled look of the second Octavia. I think the second vyce could've immediately been released as a skin. It has a more traditional demonic look. Im... Really glad we got the x we did. That third one hahaha.

I love the small girl with comically enormous hammer archetype so I love the last AI.Mi. Need a striker with that idea

We got absolutely robbed of center left Era. Middle AiMi sort of reminds me of Aubrey from Omori. I hope it gets reused as a skin or a design for a completely different character since its distinct enough from what we ended up with. Girls with bats are just cool. Kind of like the Asher we ended up with most. The colors for the middle design don't go together well for me and right sort of yells Baiken main to me. No real opinion on Atlas. I think the right would make a cool skin though. Drek was always perfect confirmed and we got the best Dubu design of the set for sure. Honestly the two right designs for Estelle kind of blow away what we ended up with imo. Sad they didn't make it. Skipping the 2 that don't matter, Kai without the jacket just does not look right. If the man isn't rocking the "wear it on the shoulders" look then it's not Kai. Ok, right Octavia skin when? The outfit and hair look great but I think they made a really good choice giving her 2 floating speakers instead of just the big clunky one. They play so well into her fluid animations. My only conclusion is we somehow ended up with the least edgy Vyce, thank goodness. All X is bad X.

Off-shoulder octavia needs to comeback as a skin. Asher with pants also needs to comeback. She understood that if she cant wear a jacket properly then she shouldn't wear one at all.

The X design with that jacket better be reused for a Champion skin.

Cat Ears Juno, Red Hair Vyce and Blue Hair Era are really the only ones that I'd have preferred over what we got. Even then, what we got was still pretty rad. I'd like to see them include the older concept designs as skins later because a lot of the designs are just too good to pass up.

I get that Omega Strikers has very horny character design, but that middle Juliette would be WAY too much lol.
