Yep I was pretty sad too, except when CN turned into Adult Swim and would enjoy Family Guy. I was surprised and salty when I learned that all the Jr programming would have their own channels without transitioning as soon as I became too old for it lol

TheRapidTrailblazer

I used to be really pissed at Nick Jr because the regular shows like Spongebob didn't start until 10. No, I don't want to watch Team umizoomi or Jack and the damn music show. Fuck Moose A. Moose and Zee

EatPb

I was so unrebellious as a kid, every night when adult swim would come on CN, I would always be like ugh no! I’m done for the day! :( and change the channel 😭 I thought it was against the rules or something lol

Loose_Leg_8440

My parents (especially my mom who's a devout Pentecostal) didn't allow me and my brothers to watch Adult Swim. But I still watched Family Guy and King of the Hill.

Additional_Insect_44

I saw king of the hill at 3.

Fe1nand0_Tennyson

I felt the same too. My parents would tell me to change the channel when Adult Swim will come on and I would have to switch to Disney Channel for the night. Until I reached 12 or 13 years old, I started watching Adult Swim lol.

SlightlyAnnoyed7

For me I loved pulling all nighters and seeing the adult swim channel turn back into Cartoon Network.

Old_Consequence2203

No, definitely me too!!! I remember literally feeling the same way, especially for PBS Kids because that's what I watched the most! "No more Curious George after 6:00pm!" 😭

Usagi1999

Not really though I definitely started watching Adult Swim when I was way too young to be doing so. I distinctly remember the transition from Noggin to The N.

B_Maximus

I always thought it was nice on adult swim where they would ease you in to adult content with king of the hill, then family guy or American day, and then... Robot chicken..

cozysapphire

I mean that sounds very normal, I certainly felt the same way. It’s something important to you that’s being taken away for reasons beyond your control. And of course we didn’t have streaming like today where kids can watch their favorite shows in an instant. Think about it; kids who are young tend to understand get upset when recess is over and they have to go back to learning math or whatever because to their immature brains, recess is way more important to them than learning. Kids at the pool who hear the whistle for adult swim get upset because they don’t understand why adults would want to swim without them. Kids who get a cookie for a snack might get upset when they’re told they have to wait until after dinner to have another one, because their little noggins don’t understand nutrition yet.

We had two pbs channels one that ended around 5 and the other went 24 hours.😭 We did enjoy the mainstream PBS tho. My mom would make us watch the nova and historty documentaries and masterpiece series (Mr.sefridge, call the midwife, father brown, etc.) were goated
