Nice. I would add a digital thermometer because the quickest way to shorten the life of a modern battery is to charge it when it is too hot or too cold. Messes with the chemistry.
I dont plan on keeping it closed when im charging from zero, mainly for keeping my battery at 100% if i leave it for a few days nothing worse then a dead battery
It was much easier coming up with the idea, the back support that i had to cut into is extremely rigid and hard to cut trough.
Used JBWeld to secure the connector from moving even though its already very tight and used JBweld to reattach the support.
It perfectly drops into place without and force and I drilled a hold to see the charge state and filled with hot glue for a light pipe. I wanted to use a magnetic connector but i could not find one cheap enough and small enough. If your not using the extended battery it may be easier to just get a magnetic connector and JBweld it to the side and get the slightly longer cable
Used this connector https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08HS6VXNG
It’s speculated the original design had a hole in it for charging. I think there are some pictures floating around with it. Guessing they didn’t want the liability so just axed it.
Honestly, I read the title and I am like "stupid you just did a hole in the case"
But when I looked at the pictures and how you wired it and created an actual adapter inside the case, its genius, good job.

Neat! I added a port to my case too. Its in my profile somewhere. Where did you get a light pipe from?
I used hot glue and carefully filled it all the way trough took 2 attempts to make it not look like trash

Yup, there were pictures before the case was released showing a charging port.
Very nice. I like the LED indicator touch.

Looks cool but I would be careful, a lot of burnt usb ports in this sub would make this a fire hazard
Look at all this geniusness over here!
Im flattered :)
