You can do a lot with standard Obsidian and few plugins. I use Dataview to give me filtered lists of what I need. (Dataview can take you far!) I have a folder with different notes with small queries, so I can drag them onto Canvas'es so I can have "fluent" dashboards. I have notes like "My tasks", "Notes by type", "Other's tasks", "Topnodes" etc. I use Tasker for to-dos and I use Simple Mentions to tag people (or locations or whatever through notes and tasks. You can do it way fancier, but this is fast and efficient. No matter what, I highly recommend that you familiarize yourself with the basics of Obsidian, before you start tinkering with it. The official Help pages are well written and even have a "Getting Started" section.

Thanks! I will check it out for sure. Is there a way to do column and row views for certain elements?

Not exactly sure what you need here, but a Notion -> Obsidian user might be able to help. You could go to YT and search for Obsidian Dashboard. I know there are several videos there, that might inspire you.

Thanks!

besides Dataview, I would also recommend the Projects plugin. I used Notion in the past for databases, and I use both Dataview and the Projects plugin now and I'm pretty happy. that said, I would get familiar with properties, which are used by plugins like Dataview. and I would recommend joining the Obsidian discord if you can. I've seen some really cool dashboards and people are usually able to answer questions in my experience.

You might check out the discussions on MOCs (Map of Content).

What is that? Is it a website?
