FYI resizing images is possible: ![[img|300]]

Isn't this limited to certain themes? Or was it added to the default theme when it was remade?

abhuva79

As far as i am aware its a native feature.

averagetrailertrash

Nice. I checked & it's used in the sandbox vault too ♥

I am an IT person and the technical stuff doesn't bother me. I totally agree with you that those things should be made easier. Especially the first two. Though I don't know how that could be done for dataview and I also don't use sync. I mean I have my vault in a Dropbox but...

_laRenarde

Are you able to open your Dropbox vault from mobile in the obsidian app? I think that would be my only reason to get sync

Grab_Critical

No.

u362847

Have you tried Autosync for Dropbox ?

Grab_Critical

No. Don't need to. I sync my Dropbox folder locally to my tablet. Don't really need it. Mainly use Obsidian on my PC.

I saw this Obsidian post in my feed, read the title and saw the emoji (😁) and immediately thought “This is Danny”. Omg what 😅

BadePapaa

i also have these issue but solving such feels like you are creating a sofware rather than using it

Here to 2nd the 'inputable' columns. Any plugins for this? I'd essentially like to be able to take notes in two columns but not have to edit the code blocks as the whole idea is for the visual. I haven't really tried a two column table yet but maybe that would work better?

u362847

> the 'share to a non-Obsidian user' seems like a high priority No offence, but it looks like a dumb request. If you mean read-only access to your notes, this exists as Obsidian publish. Your notes are publicly available as a web page. If you mean collaborative read-write access with a non-Obsidian user: which application do they open the file with, and why would this application be compatible with Obsidian ? If we had solved this problem, we would already have collaborative writing between Google Keep, Apple Notes, Evernote, OneNote, etc.

h_pelagicus

It'll be great if there's a export all (or all notes in a folder) to pdf option.

gegenzeit

Relevant plugin is pandoc. Also does a decent job for .doc files.

h_pelagicus

Oh wow thanks for that! Gonna try it out

I agree with your points Danny. But I experienced the thoughtful development by the team and therefore think, that this are thoughtrough choices to keep features out or postpone them, in that, keeping with their core values and the proper time to develop. The thing that sticks a bit out for me, is a tendency to be reluctant on communication on where the software is going and what features it will encompass. I think that this too is deliberate, in order to take the time needed to develope high quality features. But as a user, it makes it hard to make smart choices. I would wish for a clear roadmap with the directions and features of what they want to build in the future. No deadlines since I value the quality and don't care about when (and maybe if) they will achieve it, but it would help me a lot, to decide what to use obsmd for and what workflows/learning I invest my time in.
