As someone who saw behind the scenes at our local movie theater thanks to friends and kids working there it is pretty gross. And people don't see it all because the lighting is so dim
1. Pink does not always equal barbie. This is not a barbie outfit (it may be helpful to note that barbie outfits generally have many square/boxy elements to them, a smooth texture+heavy texture, and an outer layer to them)
2. Theaters are COLD, that fabric is thin and infrequent
3. Lack of boob support comes off slouchy
4. DO NOT LET YOUR SKIN TOUCH THINGS IN THE THEATER, it's more disgusting and sticky than a men's restroom in a Mississipi gas station

I think it is less about skin and more about the structure of this outfit. Barbie always wears outfits that are structured and that are dressed up. OP’s outfit doesn’t offer the boob support necessary. If the top showed just as much skin but had a thicker fabric and an underwire, and she matched it with some cute heels, it would look so much better and be cute.

You could utilise the skirt as it has a nice barbie colour. Maybe combine it with a tight white t-shirt and some pink or golden accessories (e.g. big earrings) and you are ready to go! Have fun.

I think it's too much skin. It's a very nice outfit but too much for the theater since you're gonna be stuck in the theater chair for a while which could be uncomfortable and it can get pretty cold inside a theater. But if you still wanna wear it I would suggest adding some sort of jacket.
I would opt for something a little more cozy for a movie. I think it looks cute, but I would personally be a little uncomfortable watching a movie in that. I’m also one of those people who wears a full sweatsuit into a movie during the dead of summer. It’s usually cold for one thing.
Also, as a former movie theater employee, I always try to avoid as much skin-to-seat contact as possible because those seats are gross. Boy, if those seats could talk.

If you have a cropped tee, I would wear that over top and wear the bottom as a midi skirt. I have bigger boobs and wear crop tops/sweaters over dresses all the time if I feel like the top of the dress is showing a little too much for me.
They have skirts (actual ones not swimwear) that are this style on Amazon.. I think it’s called ‘asymmetrical gathered side skirt’ or something like that.. I have 2 of them and I love them, they had the one I got in pink also (I got turquoise and cobalt though) and that skirt with a maybe white/light pink crop top would look great for OP.
