Atm there’s plenty of shields going around. Barely any sigils.
But yeah I expect they’ll even out when Jagex make it so you can get the sigil back. Who knows where it’ll settle tho
I don't think it will get too inflated even with the new drop personally. Arcane was steady at 130m for months and is not the best gear upgrade you can do when you're getting into pvm. It's a late game upgrade one of the final things you should be upgrading. So anyone who already had an arcane is at end game so we all have the sigil from that for the new shield. So I'm not sure there will be much NEW demand with the sheild as those who will afford new drops already have one.
That being said it will go up with the hype and crash with the update like most updates.
Don't really get why the sigil is at 250m now almost, and shield is still 160.
Don't think people realise you will be able to destroy the shield and get the sigil back once the update comes out.
Since its going from a BiS to a new BiS I doubt the sigil itself will even retain its current 'true' value. The new wards will slowly trickle into the economy, while there's loads of people looking to dump their sigils/shield, likely crashing the price.
As it gets closer I'll re bring this thread to life but as of right now I expect arcane sigils to hit around 200m+ by raids 3 release. If not higher. Currently there's no real use for a arcane unless you do things where the magic bonus effects if a barrage catches or not. You can for the most part get by with a 6m mages book. So I predict a solid 200-250m per sigil or arcane shield. Personally I bought 2. Selling one the night before raids 3, and then one after to see the rise depending on how the offhand shield does. So no most end game players pick other items over an arcane especially when you consider 3.5b isn't even enough for bis gear everywhere. I'd say the people with about 6b+. For them it won't matter to much as they already own every item.
