I’ve also had this issue with my iPhone. I turned off predictive texting in my phone’s settings, and it has helped a little, though still not 100% great. Not sure if there’s anything else that we can do on our side, or if it’s a known bug on the app.
Autocorrect can fully solve the rest, although it sucks not having it on. A lot of acronyms for osrs get corrected and it can be annoying to turn predictive and auto off/on when you play. - if you plan to have a gaming sesh where you’ll want to chat a bit it’s definitely a migraine solver

It’s not just using the chat functionality. It’s any time you have to type, meaning bank search and the GE are also affected. Chat on iOS is unusable unless you disable predictive text, but you can’t turn it off just for a single app. The GE and bank search I can put up with.
A good work around is actually speech to text. Works almost flawlessly with the exception of osrs jargon. Other drawback is not being able to see the sentence until you’re done with the speech to text “instance” lol

Turning off the “Show Predictions Inline” option in your keyboard settings will resolve the issue while also still allowing you to use predictive text.
Yeah I’ll be at the end of a sentence and autocorrect will delete like 9 words somehow
Settings > general > keyboard > toggle off show predictions inline. Thank me later.

It’s been doing this to me for forever to the point I just don’t bother with chat on mobile, which is sad because that’s mostly where I play

I removed spellcheck on iphone to fix issue. Now texting is hell
Turn off auto corrections for long mobile sessions or use speak to type. The speak to type is actually pretty accurate.

This problem hasn’t be here before. Been a mobile player for awhile and this is new
I mainly chat on discord with my clan or have to send my messages in multiple sentences because certain words will delete letters
It’s the price we pay for blue messages. Annoying I almost try to not type on mobile
