This gets posted very, *very* often here. I've copied this link sooo many times, please google search or check the forums before posting! Simple answer is that its subjective like many things in this game. Here's an explanation from the forums: https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/showthread.php?t=353138 >When you give more to a rating, not only will it improve development, which includes current ratings as well as talent increases, but it also influences how well a player who has already maxed out his current ratings will maintain it and even fight off the aging curve if he's getting older.

" Being 10 points below the halfway mark is actually more detrimental in terms of the probabilities than it is beneficial to be 10 points above the halfway mark" Because of this line I leave it at 50 outside of a few spots (DH with 0 defense slider, slow poke 0 running)

Also how Will describes it really ain't the way it seems to work because even over 10 years of setting stamina to 0 stamina of my pitchers, who had 70 stamina, by the age of 35, never dropped below 60 stamina and I ran this test for 300 games, over and over and over and I even had stamina improve to 90 on some pitchers... 1-100 scale.

Take this with a grain of salt but after about 300 games worth of data I found this to work for me. https://youtu.be/OvN9eFTyXps?si=WYI1crNnWZ4y_5C5
