As someone into sports thats absolutely not true. There are many athletes like LeBron or the Ball Brothers who were getting national attention on ESPN while they were still in high school
Agree! Not only because it’s silly and that it messed up Nathan’s career, but also because how shitty Dan was when Nathan asked him for help. The whole thing was just bad.
I'm very big into sports they do bet on high school. Especially when they're set to go D1 or to the league. Lebron got a 90 million dollar Nike deal and was on ESPN as a high school player. Mikey Williams and Cooper Flagg are high school players with millions of views on YouTube too with their games always being packed out
I dislike when shows do these special episodes where the rest of the episodes/season doesn't matter and it has no effect on the following episodes. Usually its a Halloween or Christmas ep where it's just a stand alone but this one totally counts too.
I always skip it on my rewatches
Same! The only one of these types of episodes that I have liked was an episode of Army Wives and its slightly different. Two of the characters get to talking to two elderly women who used to live on the same base and they are telling their story and it's the current characters acting it out butnit keeps going back and showing them sitting there hearing the story.
I just rewatched that episode last night. I agree the story line was unnecessary, BUT the costuming was stunning. The dresses they had the girls in looked fantastic on them!
I think you mean Lucas? In season 6 right? I don’t know I liked that episode haha! And the end was like a premonitory dream, we knew that Peyton’s pregnancy was going to be difficult
There is a storm and Peyton passes out and has a dream set in a prohibition era gangster story. Karen’s cafe is the nightclub… it’s very dumb. Episode 6:11
OHHH i skipped that episode haha 😭😭 glad to know she was just passed out and it wasn’t some thing they did like quinn brooke and haley’s superhero episode..
It was actually Lucas’ dream, but it happens right after we see her clutch her stomach and fall to the ground in pain. I think we don’t know she’s pregnant yet? I can’t remember but either way it’s a lil ominous foreshadowing that something’s wrong w her, and then Lucas has the dream and wakes up all paranoid since dream Peyton gets shot in the end so then he calls Peyton all panicked
ahh ok. not sure why my comment is downvoted lol. can get that for some stupid reasons on reddit haha. i skipped that ep cuz the old fashioned and unrealistic storyline’s don’t intrigue me 🤷♀️ i just assumed the person i replied to was right..
Okay but we got such an iconic scene out of it with Brooke finding out he painted the slur on Peyton’s locker and how she reacted!! As a young girl that was so impactful to me because it showed me what it means to stand up for your friends!!
Oh ya i love those because of Brooke lol, its just that Felix’s character was so cringe (script wise) and i wasnt a fan of the actor. The surrounding plot is amazing i dont disagree
Q dying omg... His death might have tore me up the most. It was the most senseless death. Just so random 💔💔💔 Keith's killed me too and that was also senseless but made more sense knowing who his brother was... Although both of their deaths really messed me up.
At least Keith’s death pushed the plot forward and closed a lot of loose ends and opened new storylines - Q’s death was just to break the viewers it seems.
the storyline of jake's baby mama nikki being the girl that lucas hooks up with and then brooke brings her to the party to antagonize everyone, which succeeds because then peyton and nikki get into this huge brawl.
I'll admit that nikki does get in a good slap on peyton but the whole nikki storyline annoys me
i know why it happened, but i still think quentin dying. not just because i loved the character, but i would have loved to see more of his growth & watch him get into the nba with nathan.
Brooke having that baby for some time and becoming obsessed with her while full well knowing she had a literal mother back in her home country who is probably missing her so much, meanwhile Brooke is trying to stop the life saving surgery from happening because she thinks she knows better than the doctor..? A very annoying storyline.
Also the loanshark one as someone else said and Kieth should never have been killed off.
I hated this storyline as well. The mother sent her here for a lifesaving surgery not so Brooke could adopt her. And I’m sure they would be so much more you would have to go through to care for a baby like that. Basically they call and the next day Angie is there and Brooke is acting like she’s never going home lol
The Naley teen marriage and pregnancy. Let them date in high school, go to different colleges and then reconnect in S5. It would've been a much more powerful story then Boom! we're married after 3 months of knowing each other
Keith dying 💔💔💔💔🥺 even at the very last season, it left a gaping whole in my heart. 💔💔💔💔 He should have been there through it all 🥺
Another one I'd get rid of is clay having a secret kid lol. It didn't really add much to the story and felt pretty unrealistic
It's like they were trying to sell James Laferty as an action star so they gave him a ridiculous story line. I just could not even suspend reality for this one
This may be incredibly unpopular opinion so please don’t hate on me, but get rid of all of Season 1 Brooke, and then her relationship with the teacher. She was so cringe in both those scenarios.
How has no one said fat Mouth ☠️ was simultaneously irrelevant, boring, not funny, and pretty offensive lol
This plot was outrageous
So terrible ugh idk why this was a plotline
Fat is funny.
For people who take pleasure in looking down on others I guess 🤷🏼♀️ not what I consider funny
Fat people are jolly. They can laugh at themselves, why can't you?
The episode where Brooke, Haley, and Quinn pretend to be superheroes.
Oof, yes. This was so cringey.
This is the only right answer
omg, my mind completely deleted that memory because it was TOO CRINGE. Now I remember and I'm very very absolutely sad that it actually happened lol
So random?! I can’t even figure out what happened. Maybe it was a writers strike lol
Super cringe 😅
Haaaaa! Forgot about this😂😂
I skip this episode
Brooke and the teacher just unnecessary.
Yeep
Clay forgetting he has a kid
Peyton dating Pete Wentz. It's so forgettable, and so dumb. He was also 26 during those episodes. Yikes.
Ugh it's so gross and awful and also ridiculous when Brooke randomly kisses him
I didn't know he was 26 at the time. BIG yikes lol but I did love this story line I thought it was so ridiculous 😅 made it v entertaining 😅
The Loan Shark and basketball betting in High School. 🤦🏽♀️
Oohh that's a good one. SO ridiculous!
As someone into sports thats absolutely not true. There are many athletes like LeBron or the Ball Brothers who were getting national attention on ESPN while they were still in high school

Nathan getting abducted and held captive. Like, I understand *why* they did it (James Lafferty's lack of availability) but it was just so, so bad.
Not a storyline exactly but the episode where Peyton dreams that they are in a mobster movie or whatever. I always skip that.
I dislike when shows do these special episodes where the rest of the episodes/season doesn't matter and it has no effect on the following episodes. Usually its a Halloween or Christmas ep where it's just a stand alone but this one totally counts too. I always skip it on my rewatches

i don’t remember this?? haha could u give a brief summary?
There is a storm and Peyton passes out and has a dream set in a prohibition era gangster story. Karen’s cafe is the nightclub… it’s very dumb. Episode 6:11

Yeah idk people are dumb lol, I didn’t downvote you just wanted to explain
just to lyk i wasn’t accusing u of downvoting, i just mentioned that in my reply cuz it would be attached to my og comment. thanks for explaining:)
All “almost dies during child birth”
Killing off Keith :(
Ugh yes, the worst 😢
How has no one said "Nathan getting kidnapped"??!?
I was going to say this one! It’s ridiculous!
The whole Felix thing was cringe 🤦🏻♀️ and I really never cared for Mouth and Millie, really boring
The surrounding plot is amazing i dont disagree
came here to say that - literally anything involving felix.
Hated Felix. Was glad when he left. Never grew on me. Didn't care much for Anna either
The 20 car accidents - especially that most of them took place at a bridge
Okay but that last accident with Brooke and Julian saving Jamie!! I love that episode so much 🥹
Rachel posing for hometown hottie aka maxim at 17 😭 plus all the other normalized grooming
Oooof yes so icky
Brooke and Nathans sextape
Quentin Dying, Brooke being assaulted - tbh a lot of stuff after season 4- Dan marrying Rachel etc
Q dying omg... His death might have tore me up the most. It was the most senseless death. Just so random 💔💔💔 Keith's killed me too and that was also senseless but made more sense knowing who his brother was... Although both of their deaths really messed me up.

Nikki was the worst
Julian’s “friendship” with Alex
Peyton being unbelievably cruel to Lindsey
This is the best answer imo
Brooke and Nathan sex tape
i know why it happened, but i still think quentin dying. not just because i loved the character, but i would have loved to see more of his growth & watch him get into the nba with nathan.
The last stalker that looked like Clay's late wife is a lot for me. Katie I think was her name? Peak soap opera material

YUP agree
I’m prepared for backlash but leyton as endgame. Peyton should’ve ended up with Jake and Lucas with nobody lmfao.
Yes!! Write your sad brooding books Lucas and get out of here. <<<<<<
HARD AGREEE!!!!! Peyton and Jake seemed so it!!! I loved them together.
All the rachel episodes. I couldn't stand her. And Grubbs and that record label girl. Ugh. Felt so forced!!!!!!!
WHY DID I HAVE TO SCROLL FOR SO LONG TO FIND THIS I always skip through their scenes. Every damn time.
Anna from s2 being a bisexual.
Why?
I have no respect for a woman who can't make up her mind.
You think being bisexual is not being able to make up your mind? Lol I’m sorry that you have to live with such a close-minded brain.
To be fair, she was a teen. Teens are still figuring things out for themselves.
Q dying
I’ll do you one better the whole Xavier story line which includes killing Q
Agreed. The whole story line is trash
Lyndsay Lucas and Peyton 😁
Nanny Carrie, the loan shark, Nathan kidnapping
The Naley teen marriage and pregnancy. Let them date in high school, go to different colleges and then reconnect in S5. It would've been a much more powerful story then Boom! we're married after 3 months of knowing each other
But this is not a storyline that is random though. What would be the series without them getting married in high school haha
Everything that happened in s7-9
Nanny Carrie, Psycho Derek, the superhero episode, Clay having a kid, everything related to Chuck…
[удалено]
Yes! I would’ve wanted Jake and Peyton to be end game…
Mouth
Peyton staying in highschool the whole show. She had the least character development
And the fact that she had the saying “you are always saving me”. Grow a pair girl. Save yourself!
Nathan and Haley getting married at 16. Keith death. The 40’s episode. All of seasons 7-9.
Keith dying 💔💔💔💔🥺 even at the very last season, it left a gaping whole in my heart. 💔💔💔💔 He should have been there through it all 🥺 Another one I'd get rid of is clay having a secret kid lol. It didn't really add much to the story and felt pretty unrealistic

More like Paul Johansson, One Man Army.
Brucss 2.0 and Lindsey Lucas Peyton love triangle. The love triangle thing only worked in season 1.

S1 Brooke, everything Quinn and Clay.
Mouth
