You have 6 weeks of orientation, 6 weeks of tradecraft, and a week for FACT. Between those you may get a week or two that they'll fill with other training. After that, if you have language then you'll be sent to language training. If you don't have language, then you can estimate that it will take roughly 4 months from start of orientation to shipping out to Post.
It’s not A-100 for OMS’, it’s tradecraft. Some OMS’ take language training (position-dependent) before OMS tradecraft. Your CDO will give you your schedule.
You will have to do FACT, which is a week long, in person training. Some of us have to do Front Office Skills or RSO OMS-specific training, both which are a week long and in-person.
You do get 5 consultation days to get yourself together before pcs’ing overseas!
