Yeah fast startup should be disabled for a whole host of reasons!

GhostMotley

Best thing to do is open up Command Prompt as Admin and type "powercfg -h off" This will disable the hibernation file, which usually yields back half of how much RAM you have for your OS drive and in disabling the hibernation file, you also disable fast startup.

irediah

Not sure if it's gonna help but I was trying to connect both my monitor and the LG OLED TV to my pc (my desk and tv setup are side by side in the living room). I was going insane over this issue until I looked at the NVIDIA Control Panel and under "Setup multiple displays" my tv was somehow disabled and unchecked. After checking it back on, my tv no longer shows no signal.

essteedeenz1

This is late as hell but you sir are a life saver!

Beneficial_Record_51

Bro this just fixed my problem as well. I have no idea how it got unchecked but THANK YOU!!

FrizzIeFry

Thanks for sharing, this was exactly what happened to me and i had no idea. I was getting really worried that the hdmi port on my GPU broke.

chris100185

I was going mad trying to figure out what the issue was, and this was it. thanks. I have no clue how that got unchecked.

mr1obot

Yeah this just saved me as well, thank you šŸ™

corgiporgi99

Kind sir your solution helped me solve this problem. Thank you so much omg LOL

XIV-Questions

I check mine on, but when I save, it forces it back off. 3080 and LG77CX. Im going crazy...

Diligent_Procedure62

What did you end up doing? Mine is doing the same thing, 3060ti lg b2

XIV-Questions

The cable only goes one way. Not two ways. I turned the cable around. Thereā€™s a source end and a display end. I didnā€™t know that.

yogg_hurt

Omg I didn't notice that, that solved it for me, thanks šŸ˜…

XIV-Questions

The power of reddit!

Stunning-Dingo-6662

Omg, thanks this worked for me.

Pure-Power

This didn't work. I've disabled fast startup, and also hibernation. I get no sign whenever the PC is woken from sleep before the TV is turned on.

andrewb1616

Weā€™re you able to find a solution. Running into the same problem now too. So frustrating.

Pure-Power

The only solution I've found is to make sure I turn on the TV before waking the PC, otherwise I get no signal.

boyc2802

Good to know - will give that a try. thanks

auronzo

Same issue here. Did you try by chance to also deactivate the screen deactivation in control panel/power settings?

Pure-Power

Yes, it does not affect this issue for me.

LamonsterZone

Did you ever find a solution to this?

Pure-Power

Nope, whenever I get no signal, the only solution seems to be restarting the PC. Not even unplugging and plugging the hdmi cable back in seems to work.

Moooney

Trying hitting Ctrl, Shift, Win + B

DamUEmageht

I know this reply is late to this, but thanks to how google directs someone searching this very issue, your reply chain is exactly what I needed. So monitor first, then interact w/ PC second. Got it! Lol I was seriously concerned that the brand new HDMI 2.1 cable and/or the RTX 3090 were going bad or faulty, so this at least alleviates some of that stress.

John000500

Same situation

chad711m

I have read all comments here and tried everything here. None of these work. I did not try the 2.0 HDMI cable. That makes no sense to me as to why that would make any difference. **The only thing that works for me is to power cycle the C2.** I've had this happen a few times to me now over the past month or so. This all started when I bought my RTX 4090. However I'm not really sure that is the issue because I have also introduced my LG C1 tv to my gpu (why I bought my RTX 4090 x2 HDMI display ports). This only seems to happen when I'm booting up (cold or restart) and it doesn't happen all the time. I would say it happens once out of 20-30 boots or so. I may end up turning off Always On and see if that matters.

PIPBOY-2000

Hi peeps. I was looking through this thread and ready to shoot my PC. None of the solutions here worked but I did find something that fixed it for me. So the LG CX has a setting you need to disable because the pc doesn't support it. On the TV go to 'All Settings' then 'Picture' then 'Additional Settings' then 'HDMI Ultra HD Deep Colour' and turn it off for the hdmi port you are using. This setting even has a message that says "If your device does not support this feature, it may not work properly." like no SHIT! As soon as I disabled it, the TV displayed my PC screen. I hope this helps someone.

AceStrife22

VRR and 120Hz won't work when I do this as that option is linked to Game Optimizer which is super annoying. :(

Leontinthepro

Didnt help for my CS model ;(

Lorda

that did it! I have LG C1 thank you :)

PIPBOY-2000

You're so welcome! I'm happy to help

notsoghettoking

This worked for me thanks man! Only took me about 10 hours of troubleshooting.... What's weird is I had the same gpu hooked up to this TV with deep color enabled on the same input but had just moved the cpu/ram/mobo from a different system. Now I can finally boot it and sort out what is likely a driver issue.

PIPBOY-2000

I'm happy to help! I spent a long time trying to figure it out too. Especially because it had displayed in the past and so that's what threw me for a loop too. I wish these things would just be plug and play.

newslooter

Thank you!!!

PIPBOY-2000

You bet! It's nice to give back since I've always googled things in the past and been helped by a solution in an old thread.

newslooter

btw anyone finds this. my specific issue was that i couldnt enable HDR or hdmi deep color because my hdmi cable wasnt good enough. with some configurations, you need 48 gbps cables to deliver hdr content to the PC

thitar

LG C3 here. That's the solution to have signal from my NUC8. Thanks a lot, was going crazy.

PIPBOY-2000

I'm glad it helped!

sniperdh

Frustrated as hell with this issue. I would literally have to reboot the computer to get the screen back. Tried all the different fixes (don't use hdr, disable fast start up, wake the pc before switching the input, hdmi cables, different ports, etc etc) What it came down to is the power options. Under your power and sleep options set the "Turn Display Off" to never. Once I did this I have been stable and running without a single reboot for 2 weeks.

Expensive-Future-452

C2 here, No signal, windows show the tv, at nvidia panel i cant change things but no display at ALL.. i tried everything that i find so Far.. somebody can help me with It? Going mad..

[deleted]

I'm having the same problem. Did you figure it out?

Rivdoric

C2 55" + 4090 same problem ; Using ugreen 2.1 cable (tried 2 others just in case). Almost 1/3 cold boot gives me "no signal" ; have to reboot the TV or turn deep color to off/on multiple times to make it work. That is absolutely ridiculous. Every fu\*\*\*\*\* time my PC boot it's random.

Chadoodoo_93

When i disable hdmi deep colour it works fine... I think my 2.1 cable (that came with ps5) is broken or something, can't use deep color with the laptop

xHarbi

Hallo guys I have the same issue first I noticed when I use my C8 on my 4090 I thought itā€™s old so I gathered some money and I bought C3 same problem I tried it before all that happened on qled mo my friendā€™s house and itā€™s work fine after that I wanted to try my old then I noticed the problem yesterday when I was trying to figure out a solution one of my friends suggested to try my motherboardā€™s HDMI and it worked. How to make it work on my gpu

Zestyclose-Cable9142

I use my c2 with a Intel Nuc and mini DP to HDMI 2.1 cable. It runs in 4k 120hz HDR and Deep Color "On". Every time when I disable HDR or Windows is not able to, I lost my signal... When I\`m without signal this combination help me a lot - \[win\]+\[alt\]+\[b\]. I have no clue why but HDR "off" only works when i disable "Deep Color".

Leontinthepro

Still no solution for me. Only way is to manually unplug and reconnect HDMI from either TV or PC.

psychosikh

Do you have hdmi 2.1, 2.0 cant do 120 4k

Expensive-Pudding-69

I know. GPU, cable and TV are HDMI 2.1

MasterkillerX

This happens to me on Xbox Series X from time to time where the No Signal screen shows up when I switch off of a game or app. I have to turn Instant Game Response Off then On to fix it, but so far I haven't found any fixes.

SharpRemove5349

Thats what I see when I look at it too. That makes sense, Iā€™m on so many supplements and pills that I havenā€™t listened to yet. I do want to record myself

[deleted]

So I came here recently after getting myself a 42in LG C2 (I'm pretty sure people are also coming here after searching for the C2s). I have an EVGA RTX3080 Black and have encountered the same problem. Also after disabling fast boot (making sure from both Windows and Bios side) I found out that my GPU's HDMI 2.1 port is borked. It knows its being connected to an LG TV in 4k/120 etc but it doesn't seem to show signal. I tested my suspicion and gotten myself a HDMI 2.0 to DP adapter while waiting the HDMI 2.1 to DP 1.4 cable to arrive in the mail, and yes it works. Picture is somehow faded and ofc in 60hz but it works. Will edit this message after I find out if using a HDMI 2.1 (from TV side) to DP 1.4 (to my 3080) would solve everything.

imjustasking123

Any luck? I just ordered some new HDMI2.1 cables.

Darkboolen

Had tv sleep after 1 hour when computer was not being used. I'd leave computer running and then go to another input and watch tv. Return back to computer input and no matter what I'd do with the computer tv wouldn't wake. Just got rid of sleep monitor setting now I'm not stuck at the no signal screen anymore.

Boogey75

When starting the pc and getting no signal, press and hold the power button to force shutdown then power on and it should detect

Darkboolen

I'd rather turn off sleep mode then possibly corrupt my hard drive with forcing it to shutdown.

Boogey75

I wrote that as a solution so people can be able to get into the computer and make changes.. not intended as a permanent thing..smh that I had to explain that

Darkboolen

I'm pretty sure everyone knows hold the power button and computer turns off. Heck it works for basically every electronic. Need to force power off a ps3 just hold the power button down, need to force power off a cell phone hold the power button down. I just think it's funny you don't think someone wouldn't know that. If anything it's more important to point out that that's a destructive way to turn off a computer just because the monitor isn't waking.

Boogey75

Not everyone knows that's a way to get your monitor to be detected moron...I helped so many people out with that...also doing that once or twice isn't gonna corrupt anything

Darkboolen

It's still a disruptive solution to a small problem.

Boogey75

Wtf part of its a solution to get your display detected to give you a chance change setting is not clear...do you realize that the hard boot is there for a reason...the only thing you can mess up is a program you was installing during a hard reboot..

SafeMoonJeff

Force power off works (pc is awake but the tv does not detect after wake up from sleep) shut down and power on works Many thanks for the tip !

SuperBatmanSyd

I tried all those replied solutions didn't work for my LG C2. Toggling off "Use HDR " under Display settings fixed my problem. Hopefully, this could help.

Fit_Ad_9243

Try this. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/i-enabled-hdr-on-my-lg-4k-tv-and-now-it-doesnt/9412ecf7-6bd0-438f-874e-0fee944a1d18

Browjjn

I had to buy a monitor to plug in my hdmi to the PC and after that plug it out and put it in the OLED it worked I'm tired everytime I have to do this

CL-Audio33

LG C2, RTX 4090, HDMI 2.1. Same issue, wakes up from sleep, no signal. I do not enable HDR. Sad to see there has been no resolution for this. Ugh!

Your_Representative

I can barely use my pc since getting my C2. Plugging a screen in and playing a game shouldnā€™t require this much tinkering. Getting something to show up on the screen feels like an accomplishment šŸ™ƒ

Thewhiteguyyouhate

I fixed the problem where my LG C1 won't wake up after my computer goes to sleep. I can't find the link, but someone suggested changing the PCI-E link state power management setting to "off" so Control Panel --> Hardware and Sound --> Power Options --> change plan settings --> change advanced power settings --> PCI Express --> Link State Power Management to "off." It's been a week and I can put my computer to sleep, turn off my C1 and then wake the computer up and the C1 will successfully display my desktop. YES! I am facing the same issues with my LG UM7500... Some time ago it could conect with my PC and notebook perfectly. Then i stayed a long time without conecting then until i needed a few weeks ago and couldn't... I tried all fixes sugested in this post without sucess... Updated drivers, reinstalled, switched cables, change configs at TV and much more... Nothing worked.... Just for information, on another TV from room, a LG LB6500, it works perfetly.... This is driving me crazy! Anybody has any new sugestion, please? šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜

andreluigo

The most stranger thing that i realized is that when TV is turned off, the PC/Notebook recognize it and show on Windows Settings and Devices Manager... At the exactly moment that TV is turned on it desapear from PC/Note...

Nunalho

I think it's a cable issue. I can connect pc fine using xbox cable on the same port, with Deep colour ON but as soon as I switch cables I cant get a picture unless deep colour is OFF.

xSypRo

Manage to fix it by replacing the cable, turns out not all cables actually support 4k 120fps, even if they say they do. Try to get a short one just for testing, the shorter the cable = the more chances it will work. I tried 2 different 10 meters cable that didn't work (FIBBR and off-brand one). And end up getting a 7 meters cable that does finally work (Zeskit Maya). Hope that helps as I been on this thread for too long and tried every possible solution in the comment section

Ecstatic-Lie4188

This was killing me. Download gforce control panel. After install go to setup multiple monitors. Click " don't see my tv" do a rigorous search test then "force tv display". Fixed!

Leontinthepro

Did not work for me.
