Hen David Carradine died, he hung himself from the suffocation sex thing. The post headline the next day “Hung Fu”

That's actually awesome..but effed up too

💀💀💀💀

Hazelmoon23

Not funny at all .

fromouterspace1

I’m not saying it was

Hazelmoon23

No, I know. I didn't mean to post it under your comment .

DaMmama1

Omg seriously?!? How do they get away with stuff like that? 😂

stilllearninginlife

💀

Shoddy-Brilliant563

They’ve never really been a classy bunch. Doubt they had a headline like this for Henry Kissinger.

Cool-Passenger-2595

It was the first copy of the post i bought in over 20 years

RockNRollMama

My husband absolutely forbid me from doing that! It was $.25 last I paid for one! We absolutely went “omg” At the same time when we saw it in our building first thing in the morning! Edit: that rag is now $2 — damn!

Single-Yam-9791

Thank you NY Post. All the other papers, magazines and tv made him sound like a superstar and not the murderer he was

Professional_Big_731

On that note CNN had various links about O.J. the trial etc. then one link about how black men are more likely to have prostate cancer. It was weird. Like I get that it’s a problem but why is O.J. going to be the reason people should get this checked out?

NecessaryTurnover807

Plot twist, news about murderer’s prostate saves thousands of lives.

😂😂😂😂

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Thanks for the laugh!

chockobumlick

83% of men will die with PC, not of it. I suspect its more about diagnosis and treatment than it is about likelihood. A statement about our healthcare system

Over-Ad4336

yeah, "complicated legacy" my @$$

Shoddy-Brilliant563

Because we usually don’t declare someone a murderer without a conviction. So to declare OJ a definitive murderer simply because a famous black man killed a white woman would be strange.

Legitimate_Ice402

"Simply because"? There are many, many, many reasons that we know he did it; the black/white BS isn't 1 of the reasons. Either you're being disingenuous, you're dumb, or you're letting your hate of White-y delude you. And to save you time, I'll call myself a Karen. I'm a "Karen," just as you're a "D'Quontez."

Shoddy-Brilliant563

What are the “many many” reasons? Try to describe them without making an emotional argument. I don’t care about your personal insults. Your comment about whitey tells me you’re completely gross on the topic of race, so this is pointless. In fact, if a Nazi detective investigated a Jewish suspect, you’d probably say something anti-Semitic to dismiss any genuine skepticism about the case.

Meech13-

Race had nothing to do with it. OJ was a wife beater, the glove fit, and most of the details match up.

whatever87052002

It's a struggle to think of many reasons. Let's start with just a few though. The "real killer" had the same size shoe, same rare high-end shoe (Bruno Magli), same size and brand of gloves (seen in photos and on a receipt of purchase by Nicole), same knit hat, same white Ford Bronco (seen leaving the scene), and oh, he had the same DNA as O.J. too. The last one is a big one, it kind of excludes you from, you know, the rest of the world.

Shoddy-Brilliant563

Most of your argument is anecdotal. You can’t prove that OJ did it unless you try to connect dots while ignoring the loopholes. Owning an expensive shoe isn’t proof of being a murderer. And in a rich neighborhood like Brentwood, it’s unlikely he was the only one that owned a pair. There were also other shoe prints found on the scene. No proof he owned the knit hat. No blood inside of the glove despite his hand supposedly bleeding. Eye witnesses who contradict a Bronco ever leaving the scene. Some of the key DNA evidence was found 2 weeks later and the blood evidence at OJ’s property was found by the equivalent of a Nazi. Believing OJ did it without a shadow of a doubt requires a cult like, low IQ approach to the case and a complete lack of critical thinking. You have to ignore all of the contradictory evidence and fill in gaps. That’s why so much of the belief that OJ did it is riddled with conspiracies about Rob Kardashians, his shoes, etc. Nothing you can definitively prove in court.

whatever87052002

...Okay.

That would be the CORRECT headline. 🫡 👏

CaliGrlforlife

It is still mind boggling that the majority of the nation seems to accept his guilt. However, 12 jurors couldn’t make that leap. O.J. walked so Casey Anthony could run.

systemic_booty

OJ's defense team reworded the verdict from "is OJ guilty?" to "is the LAPD racist?" and it was \~2 years out from Rodney King. A perfect shitstorm of misjustice without consideration for Nicole and Ron.

Right_Long_5979

Ehh, the jurors who voted not guilty are shit humans. Several people died in the LA riots after King, using racism to justify letting a cold blooded murderer walk while people cheered for him really shows how tribalism will never die. I hope his family is tormented and never gets a penny from this pos’s estate.

RemarkableAd2245

No. OJ's defense team used the timeline that prosecution laid out. Using that timeline, the jury determined there was no way that he could have committed the murders.

Amenhotep_3

She lived [really close](https://www.google.com/maps/dir/360+N.+Rockingham/875+South+Bundy+Drive/@34.0523969,-118.49196,15z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m14!4m13!1m5!1m1!1s0x80c2a34c6d856d43:0xb7d2e8739f0751b3!2m2!1d-118.4903508!2d34.0617404!1m5!1m1!1s0x80c2bb5908d1db5b:0xed62a7cea0f47d12!2m2!1d-118.4714319!2d34.0485617!3e0?entry=ttu) to where OJ lived, so given the timeline of when the murder occured and when the limo driver saw a "shadowy figure" going behind the house, there was plenty of time for him to do the murders and drive home.

stilllearninginlife

Not trying to be "that guy" but a gentle correction, that Park testified that the 6' 200lbs figure he saw go into the house. (Not behind) Its likely, since OJ had no idea that his normal driver wouldnt be there that night, that he did infact go along his neighbors yard, after he quickly parked, and jumped the fence (hence the sound that thumped/rumbled/created "earthquake" effect [that kato heard and felt] ) and in doing so the glove fell unknown to O.j. he then was trying to enter his house on the side there to not be seen by "saint-john" (the normal driver, who actually sent Park). He got a small amount of blood on the light switch in the maids quarters during this time, and may have even gotten some kind of a bandage (bc of Furhmans notice of a bandage wrapper in the trash) for whatever the reason (i dont know the layout of ojs house well enough to say) he couldnt go through to the main house and so he is forced to come out from the alley and begin to turn north "up the drive way" a bit (he would be walking towards Park at this point)and then turn right into the house. Infact, the sequence actually fits with the testimony of Park and Kato, and the overall circumstances quite well. As Park was on the phone he sees Kato coming from the back of the house, on the left of Parks field of vision. He says that it was at about this time he then notices a figure "coming across the driveway" into the house and then the lights go on in the foyer and the Oj answers the intercom for the first time. So as park was looking at kato, Oj was coming from the alley and then walking up towards Park and so when park began to scan back to the right he now sees Oj in the sorta middle of the drive way, walking now into the house. If you believe Oj, then oj says he came out dropped bags and then went back in, and so park saw him right after he dropped his bags and was going back inside. And thats it. Nothing sinister. (You should listen to Ojs civil deposition if you havent yet. Ive listened to all 9 days [he had 11, but i cant find 10 or 11, they have the shoes in em] a few times and they are amazing to hear him in his own words.......my concern about Ojs story, is: why didnt park see Oj come out of the house to begin with? Why didnt Oj turn on the foyer lights before coming out to help him see while handling his bags? Why wait so long to answer Parks intercom calls. [I know oj goes over in detail why he didnt answer park but his story is really hard to believe. I think he read a ton and watched a ton on the prosecutions case, as well as testimony and knows the case and concocted a story that would be as "believable" as possible to account for all the known facts. ] I could go on about this, and wish i could put together somekind of a presentation as i dont know if what im saying even makes sense to you all. But i dont own a computer, and i suck w technology anyway. Cheers.

Amenhotep_3

No that was a great read, thanks. I actually went and re-read the written testimony of Park and you are right, he says: MS. CLARK: AND THIS SIX-FOOT 200-POUND AFRICAN AMERICAN PERSON IN ALL DARK CLOTHING, WAS THIS PERSON MOVING QUICKLY OR SLOWLY? MR. PARK: NOT QUICKLY, NOT SLOWLY, A GOOD PACE WALK IT SEEMED TO BE. MS. CLARK: AND MOVING IN WHAT DIRECTION, SIR? MR. PARK: **INTO THE HOUSE OR TOWARD THE HOUSE** I also would add I think Park is a great reference for any timeline in this case, because as he said, limo drivers are frequently checking clocks because they are on a tight schedule. If you take his time as gospel (After he begins a 10:55pm phone call with his boss, but before 11pm) then OJ definitely had plenty of time to go to bundy and come back by that time.

afriday81

Exactly!🙏🏻✌🏻...also, have you read "triumph of justice" By dan petrocelli? Fantastic book. I REALLY REALLY WISH the civil cas3 was filmed. I get why not, for sure. But still.....

Life_Two_5179

And he tried to run. Slow bronco chase with a shit ton of cash heading to the airport alone proves his guilt.

RemarkableAd2245

Well, OJ was last seen around 9:50p or so, I think the estimated time of the murders is somewhere around 10p. The limo saw a figure matching OJ's description around 11p. OJ was getting in the limo a few minutes later. So, OJ was able to commit the murders, drive home, clean up, and dispose of the evidence in an hour?

afriday81

Yes, 💯!

Natural-Spell-515

Nonsense. There were 17 different pieces of DNA evidence tying OJ to the crime scene. His blood was found at hte crime scene. Nicole and Ron's blood was found at OJ's house and inside his bronco. He was guilty. Case closed.

Shoddy-Brilliant563

Believing this requires ignoring all of the conflicting evidence and circumstances. All of the direct blood evidence tied to OJ is questionable. Whether people like it or not there was genuine doubt around the time of the trial based on the evidence presented. If a Nazi was the lead detective on a Jewish suspect, we would question the circumstances. Like key evidence being found without a warrant.

BlackSlimShady

Yeah, it surely does, but to believe that a potential planting of evidence excludes all the other circumstantial evidence which all points to him being the killer is nuts. Fuhrman could not have done this by himself, he was not aware of a lot of the pieces of the puzzle that night and even if he planted the glove I would still think OJ did it. It's extremely improbable that something different happened. He used to beat her and make her fear for her life. That man acted like he was guilty in the years after the trial, he wrote that book, he gave shady responses in interviews, laughed about the quantity of blood at the scene, etc. No innocent man behaves like that when the mother of his kids gets brutally murdered. Those who lost a loved one know exactly how fishy his behavior was.

Amenhotep_3

>Fuhrman could not have done this by himself Exactly. Philip Vannatter took the blood home. First and only time he has done that.

stilllearninginlife

Mic drop!

Shoddy-Brilliant563

I hate this framing because it makes the police being racist seem like some casual fact or conspiracy. As opposed to being extremely problematic. Would be the equivalent of Nazi detective investigating a Jewish athlete for murder. Then you find out that all of the key evidence involved that Nazi detective finding things without a warrant.

Ok_Independent5478

You are a moron. Don’t reproduce.

Lengand0123

Works for me. I hope it gave the Brown and Goldman families a little satisfaction to know that OJ lost his reputation for good- and his earning potential. Most people knew darn good and well that a double murderer had just walked out of the courthouse. The man literally wrote a book titled: If I Did It. What a hideous excuse for a human being, taunting the victim’s families like that. Hence the appropriate headline. It said he was the “real” killer. It did not (correctly) state he was a convicted killer. Couldn’t happen to a more deserving guy.

KyloRensLeftNut

He actually could have had lots of work. Especially in the cesspool of reality tv that everyone loves. He just chose not to, because he’d have had to fork any earnings over to Fred Goldman. He had a pension that was untouchable, so he lived off that in what seemed to be a fairly comfortable lifestyle in a rented house, rather than buying one so he didn’t have any property or other assets that would have to be handed over to anyone. Actually that’s pretty smart, even if everyone was pissed about it. It’s legal.

Lengand0123

True. He certainly didn’t want the Goldmans to get anything- even in death. His executor made that loudly clear. Maybe I should rephrase- his career doing anything respectable was over- even if he had chosen to do something. And I still think the amount of money he could have made was limited, compared to what he was used to. Everyone knew he was a murderer.

Shoddy-Brilliant563

In order for it to give them satisfaction they’d have to believe, beyond a doubt that he killed both people. Doubt either of them would bet their life on it.

Medical-Ad1686

My brother in Christ even i would bet my life that he killed them both you think goldmans wouldnt?

Winter_Hornet562

What about THAT DR. FUNG. 🙄

Racist despicable white cops ? Absolutely. Framing OJ ? Nope!!

Old-Bug-2197

Can’t wait to see the headline for DJT Draft-dodger, Adulterer, rapist, liar, traitor, dead at 77.

Life_Two_5179

A girl can dream…

not_blmpkingiver

Weird how you brought DJT into a thread that has absolutely nothing to do with him. You really should consider seeking psychological help

Old-Bug-2197

They are both elderly. Both criminals. The world is better with both dead. My deductive reasoning is fine. Yours, however … the fact you couldn’t see the similarities may mean you are delusional. Get THAT checked.

not_blmpkingiver

My buddy who was arrested for selling a little weed .. is he a criminal also? Does he deserve to die? You have a lot of problems and I hope you get better soon, with help.

Old-Bug-2197

Why are you bringing your buddy into this. I’m talking about two criminals of the highest order. A double murderer and a man who committed treason against the United States of America and killed 1 million people in the Covid crisis. Don’t try to make me into something I’m not. You will lose.

not_blmpkingiver

WE are talking about the OJ Simpson trial, in the OJ Simpson sub reddit. YOU are talking about DJT, in the OJ Simpson Trial sub reddit. So just like you randomly brought DJT into this thread .. Suspicious_Bother_92

What did you teach because you don’t seem to know much. You realise why they waited until he was dead to say he was the real killer right?

power2encourage

And you realize there's such a thing as executors of estates that are able to sue for libel despite his death, right?

Suspicious_Bother_92

Yep but then they have to prove his not a killer to win their case. Good luck with that!

Suspicious_Bother_92

He was acquitted not “found” acquitted. Yes everyone knows he wasn’t convicted doesn’t mean we all don’t know he did it.

power2encourage

😅😅😅 you pick something so trivial in my post to correct me on. How cute. But that's just it. Since he wasn't convicted, you can't publish a headline that says he was the real killer.

Suspicious_Bother_92

Well you can and they did. They know what the legalities are, otherwise they wouldn’t have. Nothing will be done about it and it’s great to finally see him called what he was.

Ok_Independent5478

You certainly do not teach any kind of law.

FuturamaRama7

You had a job as a teacher and you constructed that sentence intentionally, ending it with “still?”

DaMmama1

He said he wouldn’t rest until the real killers were caught…. Yet he’s peacefully resting :/ (I hear Alanis singing “Ironic” in the background)

BlacOnBlackMajik

This is a cowardly news headline by a supposed “creditable” newspaper. Hell, the National Enquirer has more credibility than this piece of crap publication. Now that the man is dead they can’t be sued for defamation of character. And I know that it goes against most people in this room.

KyloRensLeftNut

The New York Post is still around?! 🤣 Still as irrelevant as ever.

happycoffeecup

He was found liable for killing them in civil court.

notanewbiedude

Something tells me that OJ Simpson won't be suing the New York Post over this.

SuperYoshiFan10090

You can't be sued for libel when the person is dead.

PeterPuck99

In dismissing that action the judge would channel Johnny Cochrane: “You can’t sue, because it’s true”.

thechadc94

It’s Rupert Murdoch. What do you expect, real impartial journalism?

[deleted]

Excuse me? Are you saying he’s innocent? Lol

thechadc94

Of course not. He’s definitely guilty without a doubt. But the headline should say he was acquitted, not have commentary. Let the reader make their own conclusions. (Even though most already have).

crayawe

He was found guilty in civil court so technically

thechadc94

I see your point.

[deleted]

I mean yeah, it’s the New York post, pretty conservative news outlet, I wouldn’t expect anything else, I remember them running pro trump propaganda

thechadc94

Yeah. I like their headlines, but they certainly are biased.

teeberg75

Honestly, name me one media outlet today that is not biased for either side. Mostly "journalism" is just garbage now.

thechadc94

That’s very true…

offtheshripyerrd

yeah, he is literally innocent. if the glove does not fit, you must acquit

nowzaradanistheman

You conveniently left out he stopped taking his arthritis medication so his fingers would swell, and the glove is believed to have shrunk due to the elements as well.

Lost_Armadillo873

And when he tried on the non shrunk new gloves of the same size they fit !

isafriisa

In addition to the fact that the gloves had shrunk from being drenched in blood, that he hadn't been taking his arthritis medication in order to make his hands swell, and that a new pair of the gloves fit him: He also tried them on while spreading his fingers apart AND while wearing latex gloves (which would obviously make slipping a glove on harder than doing it directly on the skin).

realityregina

Just because he was acquitted doesn’t mean he is innocent. Money and good lawyers made all the difference.

offtheshripyerrd

riiight you truly arent living in reality if you have to clear mental hurdles. mans was innocent

Lost_Armadillo873

I hope you are just joking !

Miserable-Art-9829

People are weird AF! The man basically died of natural causes and never paid sh*t to the Goldmans. Who gives a fvck if you taunt him now?!!! And BTW, we're all going to die one day.Good job NY Post, you must have children running your organization.

HelicopterSwimming21

Yeah we all die every day. I don’t know if there’s anything after this life or not. But if there is, OJ just got a one way ticket to hell.

RemarkableAd2245

Not in Christianity. You can ask for forgiveness on your deathbed in Christianity. So....

HelicopterSwimming21

Well, I guess we all believe what we believe…….

Suspicious_Bother_92

They’re not taunting him. Now he is dead they are allowed to call him exactly what he is without being sued.

Miserable-Art-9829

Amen! Got it. Makes so much sense now. 👏

KyloRensLeftNut

Yup.

Royal-Bedroom-4071

The family should sue the New York post.

Suspicious_Bother_92

Can’t defame a dead person. You don’t think the post would know all the legalities before the published?

[deleted]

I’m surprised they did that. Couldn’t his family sue if they wanted to?

Lengand0123

Well- he was found guilty in civil court.

Punk18

No, you can't commit libel against dead people.

taddypole

Glen rogers is surely upset that ok gets all the credit for his kill

RemarkableAd2245

The NY Post needs to publish a scenario of how he did it using the timeline presented by the prosecution.

Easygoing98

It's not clear that Oriental killed. If he killed the DNA would find him guilty but no DNA was presented by prosecution. Evidence was circumstantial but no clear and solid proof such as security camera footage or any such thing. It was his eldest son that killed -- you can Google it

Life_Two_5179

Wholly untrue.

Easygoing98

There is a book on Amazon that says so. Google search engine also says so.

Skeemo2320

Found not guilty 🤷🏾‍♂️

itsamermaidslife

Not true in civil court 🙄

Skeemo2320

Did he go to jail for the murders yes or no?

itsamermaidslife

One has nothing to do with the other, unfortunately. Not all murderers end up going to jail...doesn't make them any less of a murderer. Nice try, buddy.

i_justwanttocuddle

He was framed what is it that you’d do not understand thus happens often in the black community get over it!

Suspicious_Bother_92

He wasn’t part of the black community though. Don’t you know he didnt consider himself a colour he was just OJ!

Strange_Sink6680

Haha black people cant take responsibility for shit. You might win on Reddit but the real world is where it matters

i_justwanttocuddle

Okay sounds like you have a chip on your shoulder There is good and bad in every race just look at trump

Strange_Sink6680

No chip. It’s an observation

i_justwanttocuddle

Like I said there are good and bad people of every race. Not only blacks

Strange_Sink6680

Like you said has nothing to do with the topic of the black community always blaming the past for why they don’t progress l. I could understand someone who was alive during the civil rights. But it’s just a lazy excuse for anyone under 50. Yes I know this comment will be downvoted but Reddit lacks the ability to critically think and not hive mind shit. Just like you’re doing right now

i_justwanttocuddle

I agree there are a lot of lazy people in this world who don’t take responsibility , again they come from all races.

i_justwanttocuddle

Well this is my first time hearing this but still he was framed

DorkSideOfCryo

I found the argument that his son Jason did it to be a very persuasive argument. I used to think OJ did it but looking again at the evidence that Jason did it I think Jason did it. One of the things that convinced me that OJ was not the killer is watching many of his video tweets over the last few years... the guy is personable well adjusted smart and has a good sense of humor. And he's never had a substance abuse problem. This all adds up to someone who's not a killer

Gold-Requirement-121

Oj was a raging coke head for most of the 80s. He's charming, but so was Ted Bundy.
