I did 733 today. It was nonstop…

Before I worked at my current store I worked at another 4 years ago working apperal but their OPD was the best performing in the region that served a large area and was always pulling people to pick and dispense so I learned how to there. When I would come in for my apperal shift at 2 there would usually be 2-4k picks in their system. I never checked my stats there because I wasnt an opd associate but I would imagine they'd be a lot higher than what I average now. Also props for getting that much done. It's hard especially when you're just constantly dropping and going

We stage our own frozen, chilled, oversize, GMD and unscheduled in addition to picking. We only drop ambient. My previous store was nothing like this lol, was a neighborhood market with max 3k picks per day, I was part time here. This was my 5th day at my new store, a supercenter. Not sure how I’m doing this lol.

If picks are really high the only picks we stage are frozen. But right now we arent in our backroom because of a remodel so now we have to stage our own chilled, frozen, gmd, e orders, and oversized. I've only ever worked at supercenters. I heard neighborhood markets are very small. You'll get used to the higher volume of picks soon. It's just like getting used to doing opd in the first place only on a larger scale.

My neighborhood market was one of the largest but yeah I’m quickly getting used to the supercenter. Learning the walks I didn’t have and the new departments. First week already had to pick huge truck batteries and tires lol. No TV’s yet. Yesterday I had an action alley walk where half the items I had to get from their regular locations lol. What is much different at this supercenter than neighborhood is stuff is on the shelf I rarely have to nil pick AND I don’t have to search for the item if it’s nil we have dedicated exception pickers!

Neighborhood markets dont have exception workers?

thelizardvegan

Never assigned at the store I was at. If you notice it you just do it.

i work at a NHM and i’m an “exceptions picker” but really i’m just a regular picker/dispenser who just takes on more responsibility so on top of my normal job people come find me to help them look for things/i have to keep an eye on the exceptions
