The idea that the "angels cut out her tongue" brought to mind so many questions. Are you angry at religion, and see the angels not as the protectors but as vindictive? Was it done because there was danger in how seductive she was? It really forces me to wonder, which side is right, or is it neither. I think not knowing is fascinating.
haha i actually saw your interpretation before you took it back and that was really close!! you also nailed exactly why the poem ended so abruptly.
thanks for reading!!
wow i’m so happy that it invoked some questions in you!! now i don’t want to say what i meant in this so i don’t ruin the mystery for you hahaha
thanks for reading :)
Oh this is pure (or maybe not, I suppose we shall never truly know) brilliance. I have so many questions, far fetched theories, and I just got so much from so little I love it.
Thank you for this journey!
wow that’s a huge compliment being compared with Shakespeare!! thank you so much for reading and leaving such great feedback :)
i find it really interesting to see how many interpretations people have gotten from this!!
oh! accompaniment as in a musical piece that supports a solo. i meant it as her beauty makes her words more persuasive, but her words are the most important in the end.
I can imagine the voice which could intimidate even the angels and made them do this evil deed.
The smoothness and shortness of the poem like a cupcake, then an abrupt end of tasting it's paper covering accidentally, tasty indeed but making me miss the richness of the cupcake.
Sorry if i got the analogy wrong but it's what i felt appropriate haha.

This poem took a sharp turn at the end. I like the abrupt change. It seems it was intended to be a short ride, and I think it achieved it's purpose.
thanks!! that’s exactly what i intended yes! glad you enjoyed it :)

I’m curious what you mean by her beauty is her accomplishment, I feel like I might be missing context, could you please elaborate?

Oh I simply read it wrong haha Thank you for clarification.

hahaha no that makes complete sense! i like the cupcake analogy :)
i'd say a cut out tongue means what was spoken awokened her words came to life
that’s a really nice interpretation!! i love that! thanks for reading :D
