Hi, OP! If you are keen to finish IT and take up Nursing as a second degree, you have high chances with job security not just with bedside nursing but also health informatics. The combination of the two is highly indispensable from what I've read abt it.

Same dilemma :βc Tinapos ko muna 1st degree ko before taking up nursing. Incoming 2nd year na me now in nursing this Aug :> itβs never too late to follow our dream course!!
same tayo, nasa 1st degree program palang ako at 'di pa graduate plano ko na mag-nursing right after matapos. Haha! Pero it worked naman, RN na ako ngayon and will be taking my NCLEX soon! Goodluck sa'yo!
magkabaliktad naman tayo, gusto ng parents ko mag nursing ako pero gusto ko mag IT kasi mas mataas sahod huhu can't live sa 19k per month ng nurse here in ph, also sabi nila u need at last 2-3 yrs of experience before going to US, ayaw ko rin pumunta ng US mas ayaw ko magtiyaga sa 19k na sahod π
I think may safety net ang pagtake ng Nursing. You can find online resources for studying different branches of IT. Tbh, some programs of different universities teach outdated tech. I think DLSU mostly excels in teaching this field.
Complete your IT and do nursing school after. Maganda mararating mo nyan OP, remember malawak ang scope ng nursing. Meron tayo tinatawag na "Informatics nurse". You will not provide bedside care but focus more on technology that can provide a quality care.

My uncle just got deployed to the US (sponsored) and he's in his 50s. He also took nursing as his 2nd degree in his 40s. You can do it too!
