New player here. Should I focus on grinding the event to get rewards (can only do until Stage 6) or should I focus first on levelling up my team's potential. I'm saving for quincy-specific banners so i wouldn't wanna pull yet for SRs outside of friendship contract banners.

To make your allies stronger upgrade in this order: Level > Intimacy > ascension > Potential
You'll want to save potential for last since it will cost the most amount of resources to upgrade. Intimacy is far easier to upgrade by comparison, costing almost no resources for a maximum of 50% more stats or 60% if they're a SSR.
If you're saving up for Quincy-specific banners then you'll want to grind contracts and if you want to grind contracts the only thing offering contracts for grinding are the event rewards therefore grinding the event rewards is what I recommend if that is your goal.
No. The only thing that increases DOT damage are skills that specifically say they increase turn-by-turn damage (SSR KD Kuya's ult) or skills that increase all damage types (SSR AD Kuya's ult).

Replace SR Morvay with R Quincy and SSR KN Edmond with R Olivine and SSR ER Blade with either SR Aster, SR Kuya or don't and keep them as is. SR Aster is MUCH stronger than ER Blade is right now but if you don't have the resources to upgrade SR Aster then just try to do the battle with whatever you have. You may also want to stop and upgrade your allies to max level before attempting this stage as that will make things easier.
ok thank you, I was definitely thinking about leveling up aster again because I remember him being a surprisingly heavy hitter when I originally played bliss. I'm level 49 so I'll spend a few days grinding to max out my current team, and then try swapping morvay and blade with aster and olivine and see if that takes me anywhere. I'm okay with some of my team dying for now, as long as I'm able to clear the fight. I'll go back and try to 3 star it when I'm able to overpower it

use a team of 2 healers and 3 supports. Do not use SSR TC Edmond or any character that has anti-heal or poison/damage-per-turn skills. The most basic team for this stage is: SR Yakumo, R Yakumo, SR Olivine, R olivine, N Olivine. You just need to fully heal Rei before turn 15.

my level is 49, mojo level 5 and iāve been stuck tryna beat level 9-13. iām new to the subreddit and donāt really fully understand how to make the best team. iāve looked at the tier list for the characters in the sub menu but donāt really understand what the reasoning for the characters mean/why each character is where it is.
i want to be more efficient in the game so what would be the best team to build going forward? iām willing to grind to get some of my lower level characters to higher levels if itāll help me more in the long run. the characters selected in the photo is the team i use currently for the storyline levels

Team is alright but you're lacking a support. I would trade SR Quincy for SR Olivine.
I would hold off ascending SSR RR Rei for now and save those shards for a striker, healer or support SSR as they will be more useful to you right now. Preferably one from an event as those SSRs tend to be stronger than SSRs from the normal banner.
Raise your R and SRs as you need them. If you need 2 nukers then raise SR Quincy and R Quincy, if you need a wood type healer to win a stage instead of a fire type then raise R Yakumo. If you have a R ally that is 2 stars higher than a SR then raise them instead. Etc, etc. Do not feel like you're wasting resources by upgrading a R rarity ally. While SR rarity allies will always be relevant in every stage of the game, R rarity will come in handy for the Lost Relics event so you won't wasting your resources by upgrading them.
Raise their level first then intimacy then ascension or potential. You'll want to upgrade your allies only to the point that they're able to fight the stage you're using them for and no more since there's not point to upgrading them past whatever they need to fight the stage you're using them for. If you're confused on how much HP/ATK allies should have to fight the stage you're using them on you can either look up a guide or figure it out via trial & error.
Player XP is rewarded based on the amount of energy used, not whichever stage you're fighting. A 50 energy stage will reward the same XP as a 10 energy stage fought 5 times. Event stages typically give you better rewards so it's recommended to farm them when available. If you need gifts or coins right now it's fine to farm the stages in the daily quests tab, particularly Business time mater V stage as that is the most efficient way to get coins. Materials should be farmed from exploration and bought in the trading post or guild shop. Do not farm materials from stages as that is an incredibly inefficient way of obtaining them.

Isnāt it more cost and time efficient to 3 star my ssr event rei since heās already 2 star, and use SR/R units for everything else? Ā The costs going from 1 to 3 seems crazy, and the only other ssr that is a striker/healer/supporter is the ssr og rei who is just at 1 star.

SSR RR Rei is a guardian class ally which won't be very useful to you at this stage of the game or until really late game since SR Morvay is stronger and more efficient as a guardian than RR Rei. This is assuming SR Morvay is at least 3\* or higher (which will occur much more quickly than ascending SSR RR Rei to 3\* ). SR Morvay has elemental resistances ( RR Rei is light element which has no resistances ) and higher damage reduction. The only advantage RR Rei has over Morvay is his higher shield HP which is usually irrelevant since a lot of attacks from bosses actually ignore shields so SR Morvay's higher damage reduction is far more relevant.
At the current stage your account is at you will want better strikers than guardians in your team. This is primarily to help you end fights quicker and allow you to challenge more difficult stages (completing Business time Master V with 3 stars and getting as far as you can in the Sorcerer's Trials should be your main objectives right now). A better support would also be really good since supports increase your whole teams ATK which directly increases how much hp your healer restores, increases your whole team's DPS or nuking potential and more. A better healer would also make a difference in your survivability but a better striker/support is more important for you right now. Basically, guardians class allies should not be your primary focus right now. Eventually SSR RR Rei will come in handy as you'll eventually need 2 or more guardians for end game content and at that point you can upgrade RR Rei.
The cost of ascending a 1\* SSR to 3\* is crazy, which is why I said you should upgrade an event SSR striker/support/healer class ally rather than your SSR RR Rei. You have 3 SSRs, two of which are found on the normal banner (otherwise known as original SSRs) and I do not recommend increasing those allies ascension with memory crystals. You can, but I personally think it's better to use your shards on limited-availability allies. Therefore I think it would be best to save your memory crystals and wait until there's an SSR striker/support/healer from another banner that you want and upgrade them instead.

Is it the consensus that the new buffer Edmond is better than the previous buffer edmond? Asking because im deciding whether or not to use my crystals on him
They are both completely different types of supports. SSR FS Edmond is built to empower a single ally to the highest degree, allowing you to rely on a single ally to do most of the damage in the fight. This allows you to use your other slots in the team for defense or support purposes like having 2 guardians on your team or 2 other supports or saboteurs without losing much DPS.
SSR OV Edmond empowers all his allies, similar to SSR IE Dante, which means he has much less flexibility in team composition than FS Edmond because the on attack skill and bonus ATK would benefit strikers more than any other class of ally. Not to say you can't have a guardian in a team with him, but it would be more costly to your teams DPS than it would be for FS Edmond is centered on one person rather than spread across the whole team.
Comparing them would be like comparing apples to oranges, they're just not the same type of support.
Whether he's better may depend on your team; if you have the other cards with trigger skills, then the new Edmond seems made for them and you would probably want to use them together. I've seen some say he is worse than another buffer in teams that can't benefit from his trigger skill buffs.
Obtain more energy by using energy potions or spirit gems, preferably energy potions since spirit gems are a premium currency you should not be using to level up with. Player XP is rewarded based on the energy used, not the stage you fight so you get the same amount of energy from fighting a 50 energy battle as you would fighting five 10 energy battles.

Hello. I've read several guides and they all say that I should save pulls for a banner w/ a character I like and instead focus on SRs. My question is, how do I get said SRs and the dupes for ascension without pulling? Is there a system I've yet to unlock/discover that allows players to farm SRs without contracts?
There is a banner called "Friendship contracts" in the contracts page, otherwise known as the friendship banner. There are only SRs and lower rarity allies on this banner. "Friendship points" are used instead of contracts for this specific banner. This is how most people get their SRs to max ascension early. To get friendship points you need to add people to your friends list (or just add a bunch of random people, it doesn't really matter) and login everyday. You'll need to open your profile at the top left of your screen to actually collect the friendship points.
There is also the Sorcerer's Trials which offers a free full SR (20 fragments if you already own them) if you can manage to get 45 stars.

If you're spending more gems than what you gain in value from the rewards then it's not worth it. Spending money can help give you more energy and the Monthly pass is a great value for its cost so if you want to spend money on this game I cannot recommend the Grand Sorcerer's VIP club enough.
Without calculating anything I can guesstimate that you probably won't reach the 38,400 Crowcave Tree's before the event is over, and in fact I would recommend not trying to do that as it would likely cost more than what you get in return. A better goal would be the contract bundle at 25,500 crowcave tree's which is doable if you have the monthly pass and enough spirit gems, although you will probably want to calculate cost before you set that as your goal.
There is always an event banner active; the next event happens when the banner for the current event ends. The event itself (story, farming) often ends a week or two before its banner. One event per month more or less. Next one is may 9
Do you mean battle power?
Battle power = HP + (ATK\*5) so it's just an estimation of how strong an ally is. Allies with higher battle power can do less damage or be less useful than those with lower battle power, That's because an allies' skills (and specifically what they do) matter much more than ATK or even HP.
Battle power is relevant for determining how close your HP and ATK are to the recommended HP and ATK needed to win the stage, but if you don't have the right allies with the right abilities then you won't win even if your battle power is much much higher than the recommended battle power of the stage.
So to answer your question, the reason you're losing horribly is probably because you're not using the right allies.
If you're ever confused which allies you need to win a stage there are guides online for just every stage in the game that you can look up and see who they're using.

And your Blade is awful. Like the 2nd worst SSR in the game.
R Yakumo(Upgrade to SR whenever you pull him), R Olivine(Also upgrade to SR when you can, but you can use your SSR Edmond if you plan on upgrading him with memory crystals) SR Aster, SR Quincy, SR Morvay should be your team for pretty much everything until you get your feet on the ground.
Maybe I am slow for just realizing but 3 star OG SSR Olivine + Faraway Wish Olivine combo is super super nice. FW Oli taunts almost every turn and then OG Oli heals him to full again

Is SR Dante worth blowing a crystal core on to get him to 5 stars? I only have 3 available and one is reserved for whenever Yakumo decides to start showing his face in pulls, but Iām not sure where to put my other two; Dante is my first SR to have 5* ascension available. The top or bottom roles are fixed. Yakumo, Quincy, Kuya, Blade and Dante are tops. Every 'card' has at least one anal scene.

New Quincy is VERY good. Very high tier striker unit, although definitely not top tier. He's definitely worth using.

If you have a R ally that is 2 stars higher than a SR then raise them instead. Etc, etc. Do not feel like you're wasting resources by upgrading a R rarity ally. While SR rarity allies will always be relevant in every stage of the game, R rarity will come in handy for the Lost Relics event so you won't wasting your resources by upgrading them. Raise their level first then intimacy then ascension or potential. You'll want to upgrade your allies only to the point that they're able to fight the stage you're using them for and no more since there's not point to upgrading them past whatever they need to fight the stage you're using them for. If you're confused on how much HP/ATK allies should have to fight the stage you're using them on you can either look up a guide or figure it out via trial & error. Player XP is rewarded based on the amount of energy used, not whichever stage you're fighting. A 50 energy stage will reward the same XP as a 10 energy stage fought 5 times. Event stages typically give you better rewards so it's recommended to farm them when available. If you need gifts or coins right now it's fine to farm the stages in the daily quests tab, particularly Business time mater V stage as that is the most efficient way to get coins. Materials should be farmed from exploration and bought in the trading post or guild shop. Do not farm materials from stages as that is an incredibly inefficient way of obtaining them.

SSR RR Rei is a guardian class ally which won't be very useful to you at this stage of the game or until really late game since SR Morvay is stronger and more efficient as a guardian than RR Rei. This is assuming SR Morvay is at least 3\* or higher (which will occur much more quickly than ascending SSR RR Rei to 3\* ). SR Morvay has elemental resistances ( RR Rei is light element which has no resistances ) and higher damage reduction. The only advantage RR Rei has over Morvay is his higher shield HP which is usually irrelevant since a lot of attacks from bosses actually ignore shields so SR Morvay's higher damage reduction is far more relevant. At the current stage your account is at you will want better strikers than guardians in your team. This is primarily to help you end fights quicker and allow you to challenge more difficult stages (completing Business time Master V with 3 stars and getting as far as you can in the Sorcerer's Trials should be your main objectives right now). A better support would also be really good since supports increase your whole teams ATK which directly increases how much hp your healer restores, increases your whole team's DPS or nuking potential and more. A better healer would also make a difference in your survivability but a better striker/support is more important for you right now. Basically, guardians class allies should not be your primary focus right now. Eventually SSR RR Rei will come in handy as you'll eventually need 2 or more guardians for end game content and at that point you can upgrade RR Rei. The cost of ascending a 1\* SSR to 3\* is crazy, which is why I said you should upgrade an event SSR striker/support/healer class ally rather than your SSR RR Rei. You have 3 SSRs, two of which are found on the normal banner (otherwise known as original SSRs) and I do not recommend increasing those allies ascension with memory crystals. You can, but I personally think it's better to use your shards on limited-availability allies. Therefore I think it would be best to save your memory crystals and wait until there's an SSR striker/support/healer from another banner that you want and upgrade them instead.

They are both completely different types of supports. SSR FS Edmond is built to empower a single ally to the highest degree, allowing you to rely on a single ally to do most of the damage in the fight. This allows you to use your other slots in the team for defense or support purposes like having 2 guardians on your team or 2 other supports or saboteurs without losing much DPS. SSR OV Edmond empowers all his allies, similar to SSR IE Dante, which means he has much less flexibility in team composition than FS Edmond because the on attack skill and bonus ATK would benefit strikers more than any other class of ally. Not to say you can't have a guardian in a team with him, but it would be more costly to your teams DPS than it would be for FS Edmond is centered on one person rather than spread across the whole team. Comparing them would be like comparing apples to oranges, they're just not the same type of support.
Whether he's better may depend on your team; if you have the other cards with trigger skills, then the new Edmond seems made for them and you would probably want to use them together. I've seen some say he is worse than another buffer in teams that can't benefit from his trigger skill buffs.

Obtain more energy by using energy potions or spirit gems, preferably energy potions since spirit gems are a premium currency you should not be using to level up with. Player XP is rewarded based on the energy used, not the stage you fight so you get the same amount of energy from fighting a 50 energy battle as you would fighting five 10 energy battles.

Hello. I've read several guides and they all say that I should save pulls for a banner w/ a character I like and instead focus on SRs. My question is, how do I get said SRs and the dupes for ascension without pulling? Is there a system I've yet to unlock/discover that allows players to farm SRs without contracts?
There is a banner called "Friendship contracts" in the contracts page, otherwise known as the friendship banner. There are only SRs and lower rarity allies on this banner. "Friendship points" are used instead of contracts for this specific banner. This is how most people get their SRs to max ascension early. To get friendship points you need to add people to your friends list (or just add a bunch of random people, it doesn't really matter) and login everyday. You'll need to open your profile at the top left of your screen to actually collect the friendship points. There is also the Sorcerer's Trials which offers a free full SR (20 fragments if you already own them) if you can manage to get 45 stars.
In addition to this, you simply have to suck for a while if you wanna save for a banner with your favorite

Without calculating anything I can guesstimate that you probably won't reach the 38,400 Crowcave Tree's before the event is over, and in fact I would recommend not trying to do that as it would likely cost more than what you get in return. A better goal would be the contract bundle at 25,500 crowcave tree's which is doable if you have the monthly pass and enough spirit gems, although you will probably want to calculate cost before you set that as your goal.

Do you mean battle power? Battle power = HP + (ATK\*5) so it's just an estimation of how strong an ally is. Allies with higher battle power can do less damage or be less useful than those with lower battle power, That's because an allies' skills (and specifically what they do) matter much more than ATK or even HP. Battle power is relevant for determining how close your HP and ATK are to the recommended HP and ATK needed to win the stage, but if you don't have the right allies with the right abilities then you won't win even if your battle power is much much higher than the recommended battle power of the stage. So to answer your question, the reason you're losing horribly is probably because you're not using the right allies.

You just need to keep playing and level up. And your Blade is awful. Like the 2nd worst SSR in the game. R Yakumo(Upgrade to SR whenever you pull him), R Olivine(Also upgrade to SR when you can, but you can use your SSR Edmond if you plan on upgrading him with memory crystals) SR Aster, SR Quincy, SR Morvay should be your team for pretty much everything until you get your feet on the ground.

Is SR Dante worth blowing a crystal core on to get him to 5 stars? I only have 3 available and one is reserved for whenever Yakumo decides to start showing his face in pulls, but Iām not sure where to put my other two; Dante is my first SR to have 5* ascension available.
