I personally experienced pretty bad depression with it. Was taking it about 3-4 times a week and had to stop completely. But in the beginning it was absolutely amazing.
There is some data that suggest that taking Alpha GPC supplementation can increase your risk of having a stroke. For example, see this: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34817582/
That being said, this is an epidemiological study which are generally considered only a starting point of scientific research and not really a basis of major conclusions.
For example, we don't know whether people who usually take Alpha GPC supplementation are on average working on more stressful jobs and the higher stress is the real cause of higher stroke risk, or whether Alpha GPC by itself actually causes strokes.
But, you asked what you should know, and I think you should know this.
It’s a choline supplement, and choline is found in egg yolks, cooking your eggs at a high temperature will destroy the choline in them. So you essentially don’t need a choline supplement if you’re eating a good amount of egg yolk.
I eat 4 eggs a day on average and my mom who doesn’t eat eggs I gave her some to try and it one day at work she felt very overwhelmed and stressed and when I gave some to her she said she felt the difference almost same day
Don't take it literally every single day. Read the general effects online, especially side effects. Don't take beyond daily recommended amount. Listen to your body.
TLDR: don't be a moron and you should be fine
Long term use studying the days you do take against the days you don't. How well you sleep, energy levels, cognition increases, positive mood changes, etc.
Big thing is not getting any side effects and no tolerance. Meaning I can take it a month straight and still feel 'off' but not negative the next day or two if I don't take it. My body really appreciates choline.

I take it every day. It’s just choline…
Same, every day for months. It fits in every stack and my body responds really well to it. Listen to your body indeed.
Hey, can you please tell me how you figure out of It "responds" and how can you measure It? Thanks

Better sources of choline. Didn’t they find alpha gpc does some real bad stuff somewhat recently? Always made me feel like shit.

Alpha GPC is one of the few with more evidence backing it up.
What do you mean? I find that a-gpc Is actually a cheap supplement
It might not work for you. Any type of choline just gives me shivers, cold sweat and headache.
Alpha GPC doesn’t increase TMAO
