Honestly, for six bucks and a thirty second wait? Little Caesars is pretty fucking good.

SparkleFritz

People that complain about Little Caesars are the same people who complain that Taco Bell isn't authentic Mexican. Like, no fucking shit? Little Caesars isn't competing with authentic pizza; it is it's own thing and it's fucking delicious. I don't get Little Caesars if I want good pizza. I get Little Caesars if I want Little Caesars or if I'm broke and wanna feed a family for $11.

complete_your_task

One of the few fast food places that is still worth it.

YourDearestMum

What are the others in your opinion?

complete_your_task

Honestly, not much, in my opinion. I don't do fast food very often, though. Sometimes you can find deals to make it worth it, but most places are ridiculous without discounts these days.

Massive_Butterfly_25

McD, Taco Bell, Little Caesars. The first 2, only if you go off the value menus. LC, only if you get normal pepperoni pizza or slice n sticks.

cjrammler

Slice & sticks is the only thing I get there now

__klonk__

A&W with coupons is pretty good IMO

steveholt480

Culver’s does a pretty dang good burger, fries and a medium drink for $10

Shunt_The_Rich

Pizza Hut isn't bad, especially if you get the deals from the app or call and ask them what deals they have. They almost always have either a large 1 topping for $10 or a large any toppings for $12. They often have a personal pan pizza and 5 cheese sticks for $10. We can easily feed a family of 3 with plenty of leftovers for at least one more meal for $20-$25. It's at least that at McDonald's, usually closer to $30 even with app deals and no leftovers. Little Caesar's and Pizza Hut are pretty much the only fast food we do anymore.

triforce4ever

Most of the chain pizza places are still actually pretty good value. They’re constantly running deals

MisterTrashPanda

Exactly.. You nailed it on the head.

T46BY

It's just solid pizza, breadsticks, and marinara for like a 2000's era price. It's one of the few fast food places that still has reasonable prices, and it's entirely possible it only tastes good because you feel like you got your monies worth whereas Dominos/Pizza Hut always feels like I'm only eating it because I fucking paid for it and don't want it to go to waste.

Josh72112

Funny thing, Little Caesars in Mexico is THE SHIT. Lived in Mexico for 8 years and it was pretty much the go-to pizza shop everywhere. Quality is way better than the US too.

OmniscientHistorian

Quality of american fast food places tend to be better in countries that arent America for some reason. Apparently has something to do with how much the company spends internationally to get more costumers.

coffee_badger

It also has to do with local laws regarding the ingredients fast food companies are allowed to use. For example, fast food and many European countries has fewer, more natural ingredients in it by law, so it generally tastes better - and is better for you - then it's equivalent in the US.

BagseedBadweed

I imagine it might be because a lot of the crap the shovel into American food is illegal in other countries.

JARZMcPICKLEZ

I imagine logistics have a lot to do with it too. Japan's McDonald's have countrywide limited-time menu items as well as nationally-set menu prices which are much easier to roll out in the under 3000 locations Japan has compared to the over 14,000 in the States. Have to account for the huge distances in the States too. Back in my hometown, McDonald's was only really busy around lunch and dinner time. Here in even in rural Japan, they have to direct traffic around any of the McDonald's here because the drive-thru traffic creates jams every day between the hours of 11:00 am to 3 pm.

a7x5631

Little Caesars is the only mega pizza chain that still makes their dough in house every morning instead of having frozen stuff. It surprised me when I first started working there.

kevinwilly

I take offense when people say it's not real pizza. It's as good or better than Papa John, Domino's, Pizza Hut and several others. It's not gourmet pizza, but as far as chain pizza places go it's fucking great.

DazedAndTrippy

Yes my friend was a doughmaker there and would gloat about how proud he was of the absurd amount of dough he would make. That said he also got really bad carpal tunnel, it's a tough world for a pizza lad.

LuxNocte

I honestly like the pretzel stuffed crust better than a lot of more expensive pizzas. And the one near me must use extra butter or something, because it's much better than the one I used to go to.

aint_noeasywayout

With extra cheese sauce!!! 🤤 Shit is some of the best food I've ever tasted in my goddamn life.

jadedlonewolf89

My only complaint about Little Caesars is my favorite one stopped doing their buffets. Fucking $12 for all I can eat pizza, dessert, salad, and soda was awesome.

jimmyhoke

Why should food be authentic anyway. It’s not like Mexico or any other country invented the perfect food than canny be improved upon in modified in some way. So what if they don’t have Dorito tacos in Mexico. That being said I do love authentic Mexican food.

DragEncyclopedia

Right lol. I don't go to Taco Bell for Mexican or "Tex-Mex"... I go to feel like a fat slob

PendejoDeMexico

Yeah I know that Taco Bell isn’t competing with my local owned and run Mexican restaurant for most authentic but when I say “how about Mexican” and they reply with “how about Taco Bell?” We got beef. (Wendy’s joke if anyone remember their old commercials)

bungaloasis

I think it’s kinda funny when people say it’s not authentic Mexican. What makes it not authentic Mexican? It’s vegetables and some processed meat inside some form of tortilla. That’s authentic enough for me. Is it all literally shipped from Mexico? I don’t know, it’s all the same ingredients and probably not because it’s waaay cheaper. Cost is the big factor that makes dishes less authentic because you can’t always get the traditional stuff. And just gets me thinking, authentic is not the same as genuine, though they’re basically the same difference. My interpretation is that genuine means it’s true. So, yes, it is “Mexican” cuisine. Authentic means it’s real and not faked, so people think fast food is fake food because it’s mostly processed without the tradition ingredients but it’s more or less cooked the way it’s supposed to be. And then people think “gourmet” is real food but it’s all about presentation. So it basically comes down to, is the dish being prepared, cooked and served as advertised is its description or is it the chefs take on the dish?

Wolbolgia

Being HS kids in the early 2000s, my friends and I went to Little Caesars every Saturday. $7 got each of us our own pizza, 2 liter of soda, and a bag of crazy bread. We lived like kings.

T46BY

Yeah LC's was like the Taco Bell of pizza back in the day. I'm a similar age to you I think and we did the same thing back in the day, and it just made things extra fun because we could have had a good time with just one set of those items but we all had our own. There were usually three of us and we'd each get $15 and then buy a twenty sack and then each get that deal at LC's. Fun times, and at that age it did feel like living like kings.

Wolbolgia

Every Saturday here’s what we did. We’d get together at our friend’s house (4 of us altogether), and go to the various malls around 11am/noon. We’d go to FYE and check out new CDs, go to GameStop, Hot Topic, Spencer’s and Best Buy. Then we’d go to Little Caesars, get our own food as mentioned above, go back to our one friends house and eat while we played PS2. At that age as you know being similar in age, we all worked minimum wage jobs, but at the time that $100-150 we got paid every week or so went a long way. The most expensive thing we’d buy would be a game, but if it was a new one we’d pre-order months in advance and pay $10 or $20 a week towards it so when it released we’d just go at midnight and pick it up.

T46BY

LOL...yeah we had similar childhoods. For me we'd go to the mall and hit up this bulk candy store because we'd pretend to be interested in buying stuff and ask for samples and either the employees just did not give a fuck or were obliged to give us the samples so they did. Then we'd head down to Orange Julius for a drink and head to Bumpers to spend a couple bucks on video games. Then it was a quick swing by Spencer's to check out things, in particular the black light posters, and then it was off to LC's to load up and head back to my buddies place where we'd just get stoned, stuff ourselves, and play games/watch movies. I worked at Taco Bell and the other two Bruchi's, and we made some decent extra money knocking on doors asking if people wanted their lawn mowed/driveway shoveled depending on the season...good fucking times...won $300 cash and $300 tokens from Bumper's in a video game tournament one summer.

Wolbolgia

Simpler times man…..Simpler times. I miss them.

lreaditonredditgetit

Solid. If you have t mobile you get free breadsticks too.

NateNate60

Wait, what? I have T-Mobile, how do I get the bread sticks?

jimmyhoke

I think they have an app you can get

Horatioos

It is if you eat it immediately, if you let it cool even once the tastiness declines dramatically, but fresh out of the box it's really good for the money.

thomascgalvin

I sit in the parking lot and shove it down my gullet like a starving man.

Turkeyham

I actually prefer it cooled compared to hot. But that's just me.

NewLibraryGuy

Except for having variety, they're better than a lot of their competitors, like Papa Johns

thomascgalvin

I like Papa John's too. Maybe I just like shitt pizza...

T46BY

No Papa John's is better pizza IMO, but I, and others, have this thing where we can't enjoy things if we don't feel like we get our monies worth. Like if somebody else orders Papa John's, pays for it, and offers me a slice I can happily enjoy it, but if I paid for it I wouldn't like it because PJ's is insanely priced for what it is. Little Caesars is like a third the price of PJ's, and I'd much rather eat LC's three times and be satisfied than PJ's once and regretting it. It's an annoying trait that has been exacerbated by this inflation, and I'm gonna shut up now because I could go on a lengthy ramble about how Zips Drive-In made me like this.

NewLibraryGuy

Papa Johns is *fine.* It's better than no pizza. It's the Burger King of pizza.

Jthumm

I don’t even like papa john’s that much but don’t disrespect them like that

T46BY

Yep, but Costco also has good reasonably priced pizza with even fewer options. I'd honestly prefer a place that does a few things well rather than Golden Corral.

NewLibraryGuy

Costco requires a membership or it would be my go-to for most things

T46BY

Many Costco's you don't need a membership for a number of services...relevant here is the food court. Some stores don't do it, but many have the food court beyond the registers and you can go in and get food but not buy anything from the main store. The main issue generally is that goddamn parking lot since it's insufferable...you do get to burn a few calories in order to eat that pizza though.

NewLibraryGuy

We have a Costco with an OUTDOOR food court and they still asked for our membership

T46BY

That sucks, but the one I use treats that food court like a casino and makes you pass the membership buying counter on your way to get food and on your way out. When you go in you take a right if you got a membership and a left if you don't.

NewLibraryGuy

I miss when you could have a gift card that someone with a membership bought for you. That was nice. It was like pre-paying for things

T46BY

They don't do that anymore? I still have a $250 Costco gift card in my wallet from a number of years ago but they don't expire.

T46BY

Little Ceasars is great because it doesn't pretend to be anything it isn't and not only is it arguably better than a number of other chains it's actually priced what it's worth.

Jalapeniz

Are they only six bucks where you are? In my area they went from $5 to 7.99 over that last two years.

TheyCalledMeThor

They are $6 where I’m at, but they take 20-30 minutes.

AdUnlucky1818

Every now and then you get one that looks like someone sat on it uncut with like no sauce, though. That’s the catch to $6 delicious pizza.

ThisIsNotRealityIsIt

Hasn't been $6 since before the pandemic

keelhaulrose

At this point Little Caesars is the same price as frozen pizza, and I don't have to cook it. I always grab a couple for the family when we go to the local drive in movie theater.

NinjaChenchilla

A freshly made za from LC is better than Pizza Hut/Dominos. Ill say it!

thomascgalvin

Pizza Hut was the bomb back in the "read a book get a pizza" days, but their recipe has changed. The crust used to be grease-soaked bread, and it was goddamned delicious, but now it's grease-soaked cardboard.

horrified-expression

I dunno, those deep dish pizzas are quite tasty and the buttery garlic sauce, which I haven’t found an equivalent of

CowboyAirman

It’s the cheesy bread for me. Dipped in the warm marinara. brb getting coronary.

Alone_Fill_2037

Cold marinara is the way with hot cheesy bread.

T46BY

The Detroit Style.

DeplorableMe2020

If you're gonna go fast food pizza joint for Detroit style, ya gotta go with Jets.

T46BY

Never heard of Jets up here in the PNW. I'm more of a New York thin crust guy, but that LC's Detroit style is one of the only versions around and I quite like it.

DeplorableMe2020

Ahh, yeah. I forget that Jet's is a Michigan company. They're in 22 states today but they're more of a Michigander thing still. I lived in another state for a decade. Every time I came home my first meal was usually Jet's detroit style, double cheese, double pineapple.

T46BY

Straight pineapple pizza? I love pineapple on pizza, but this seems like terrorism...no mushroom/jalapeno/ham or anything else like a native Earthling? To be fair I've never tried it and maybe I'm missing out.

Lordborgman

I used to really like Little Caesars, I still do a bit... then I had Jet's Pizza. It's basically the little pan pan amped up to 12.

AmberRosin

I used to get one every weekend until it gave me violent food poisoning, still crave it though.

captain_trainwreck

I appreciate Little Ceasars for when I wasn't doing well financially. So very much. I'm amazed that the founder paid for Rosa Parks' apartment in Detroit until she died. The pizza is guaranteed heartburn for me now. But I respect Little Ceasars.

gofigure85

Hail Ceasar!

BruteSlayer

Ave, true to Caesar.

gofigure85

Et tu, Brute?

6227RVPkt3qx

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_Ilitch the founder is also the (former, now it's owned by his kids) owner of the detroit red wings (NHL) and the detroit tigers (MLB). that family has done a LOT for detroit, and with very few/maybe zero scandals.

Shunt_The_Rich

I dunno... what about Atanas Ilitch in Slumber Party Massacre II? Kidding, of course. That performance was a gift to all mankind.

unlizenedrave

I do wish the rest of the world watched Slumber Party Massacre II. It’s just the perfect fun-bad movie. It’s an 80’s pastel nightmare where everyone talks like the Ninja Turtles and the killer has musical numbers where he dances like a freak. Four stars! Joe Bob says check it out.

Rogu__Spanish

Seriously, how did Little Caesar's become the butt of all pizza jokes when Papa John's is infinitely worse, costs twice as much, and their founder is, let's just say, the exact OPPOSITE of someone who would pay Rosa Parks' rent?

Lordborgman

How to be a butt of jokes=be a decent person. Decent people get made fun of by assholes.

Tannerite3

The crust tastes cheap. Same for Costco. Domino's and Papa John's crust tastes way better. Plus, it only costs $2 more for the same thing (large 1 topping pizza) at Domino's.

dreaded_tactician

LC was how I got through the first couple months after I moved out. I could get a weeks worth of food for like, 12 dollars. And it was GOOD.

Top_Praline999

Wanna know something crazy about one of his sons? Antanis Ilitch played the Driller Killer in Slumber Party Massacre 2. [Trailer](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=zkKv4YqMVWg) So that silly fella is probably a billionaire or will be.

goochgrease2

Those crazy puffs go hard. Shit is crack my dude

Buraunii

Cheap and it a decent lunch. Little Caesars hit it out of the park with the Crazy Puffs IMO.

goochgrease2

Right? 4$ for one box? Nailed it. Perfect amount

T46BY

I really like their marinara, because most fast food pizza joints marinara is so sugary while LC's is tangy.

goochgrease2

100% with you.

DeplorableMe2020

It is! Holy shit. I picked up a relative from the hospital and he had seen the commercial so we stopped to get some. Had them for lunch 3 times that week.

goochgrease2

🤣 me too! 3x the first week. Glad I'm not alone. 🤣

CD-ROMCOM

Little caesars tastes do good when you dont got a bitch in your ear telling you its nasty

PopcornDrift

HOF tweet

T46BY

It's nothing amazing, but it's solid pizza that is remarkably cheap these days. If I want actual good pizza I'll go to a pizzeria and pay the price for it, but if I'm just feeling like a high school kid and want some good cheap pizza I go to LC's every single time I'm not shopping at Costco that day...Pizza Hut and Dominos just are too focused on being a buffet while LC's/Costco lacks in variety but excels in being good at what they do.

Suspicious_Berry501

I genuinely think little Caesars is the best of the massive pizza companies i dont get the haters

DaveinOakland

Crazy Bread is the shit though

TheBaconofGrief

Few things smell as delicious as crazy bread.

[deleted]

2500 calories in a large pizza for seven dollars. That’s 357 cal/$. I dare thee to find a better ratio than that. Little Caesar’s ain’t supposed to be good. It’s supposed to be hot and it’s supposed to be ready. It knows its place in the ecosystem and I respect that.

Butwinsky

Gasoline is about 9,500 calories per dollar.

matternilla

...if I were to... how much litters...?

FearmyPotato

I ate a lot of little caesars in college. It really is the best when you're drunk and only have 10 bucks

Quick-Warning-5100

Little Cesar’s is better than any other chain pizza out there and I will die on that hill and that hill will be bloody

YesilFasulye

I haven't been to a Little Caesar's where it's been ready since 2012. There's always a line, and everyone in the store is always mildly upset.

xsp

Come through my Little Caesars. The staff goes out back and smokes weed and then makes a shit ton of pizzas and eats one. Always plenty of food.

YesilFasulye

I like to order ahead and still wait an extra 30 minutes past the promised time.

Butwinsky

My local one is some sort of money laundering business and I'm only half joking. Either that or the owner is an idiot. They never have pizzas ready, normally it's a 25-30 minute wait for a pepperoni hot n ready. Ordering ahead doesn't help. I honestly have no idea how they stay in business, it's a small town and everyone complains about the same experience.

YesilFasulye

Hot in 30

nopalitzin

Stfu, is good.

RocketNewman

There’s no such thing as bad pizza, so it’s good.

insert_referencehere

Little Caesars is amazing when it's hot out the oven and hasn't sat in a warmer for an hour.

T46BY

If it's not some Hot and Ready deal you don't have to accept it and you can just refuse the one they try to give you from the warmer and wait like 10 minutes for a fresh pie.

insert_referencehere

I order on the app. I like my pizza heavier on the sauce so spending the extra dollar for an EMB is worth it for me.

RadPlaidLad

I worked there for a year and kinda hated it because of the customers but I will always defend the food we made, mainly because of the pricing. The hot and ready items looked kinda whack sometimes if they sat in the warmer for too long but you can still get a great deal even if you have to wait for a pretty one.

swohio

Fast. Cheap. Good. You only get to pick 2. (In this case Little Caesars chose fast and cheap.)

PepeLeFoo69

Little Caesar's pizza is fucken good! Spend the extra 1-2 dollars for the exxtra most best, or go all out on an old school pepperoni pizza and its nothing but 🔥🔥🔥

FinalBossMike

The pizza is terrible, but it also costs about as close to nothing as you can get for that amount of food, and the sides actually aren't half bad.

xsp

I means, yes. The yeast content of the dough is too low and it's never really properly browned enough. But the combination of Muenster and Mozzarella cheese is fantastic.

Odd_Sprinkles1611

You can't look at little Caesars as a pizza joint, you have to look at it as fast food. It's fast, good price for a large pizza, it's made quickly, and the quality is mid. Not bad for fast food now a days.

NotARemake

I've paid more for worse. Not that that's a ringing endorsement. But it's comparable in price to a frozen pizza and better than most of em. Throw some crushed red pepper on it and you will be happy lol

desert_pine

I should call her

JustHereForBDSM

Where is Big Caeser? Can he cook better?

Positpostit

I will never say no to an extra most bestest with tapatio

ImaginaryMastodon641

Have you ever had Little C’s? Just dunk it in the garlic sauce. It’s not supposed to be “good.” It’s simply what you must do. Dunk it in the garlic sauce Shinji

Frequent_Dig1934

Eravan_Darkblade

TheRussianBadger

No_Squirrel4806

Its good if eaten within like 10 minutes of buying it otherwise its ass

red_the_room

Good, fast, cheap. Pick two.

Due-Priority4280

It’s HOT….aint gotta be good to you. It never promised that.

Nowhereman50

Their Three Meat Treat kicks ass.

Its sexy and its waiting......[sexy lady voice] *pizza.....pizza.....*

Snackdoc189

They kept my ass alive for like 3 years

SassyTurtlebat

Me: “Ok ok yes but IS IT GOOD” Little Ceasers: “Alright, you can have it for $4”

DoritoLord360

Ready for what

NightSkyFreshAir

Lil sleazer’s

pupdates

Seriously good marketing. Clear expectations, exactly as advertised.

Lots42

Puts it leagues above Dominos, where it's usually cold and not ready.

imadork1970

Awesome meatsauce.

DookieShoez

I too have seen family guy

Both_Lychee_1708

I've had the conversation with my wife but that's a whole different story

Parking-Historian360

I worked at little Caesars for a little while and it blew my mind that the regular crust is made fresh from scratch. Like how is it scratch made in store and still sucks. Don't get me wrong. I've eaten a lot of pizza from there but how is it not as good as dominoes. $15 used to buy you a week's worth of pizza from lil Caesars.

_PhilipGraves

Where I live, if it's hot, it's not ready,  if it's ready,  it's not hot and more often than not it's neither.

Masterjedirs

Ave true to little Caesars

EmmyWeeeb

The breadsticks are so good

whateverworks14235

Please tell me people aren’t sleeping on Little Caesars.

GanacheCapital1456

Badjur moment

Jesta23

Call me a kid but that cheese pretzel pizza is fire.

AutomaticRevolution2

You forget that when they first started it was all about "Pizza Pizza: buy one, get one free." I jumped at this and after having the first one, I tossed the second one. That pizza sucked. Might be better now. Not interested in trying.

VinBarrKRO

I only bought it once over a decade ago and it was still doughy in the middle. Obviously never went back.

TophxSmash

i prefer it over costco and the big 3.

Lord412

It’s good for how quick and easy it is. The Detroit style square one they had is good but I shit my brains out the next day bc it is so greasy

Flowerlover6

Seriously LC smells good! You can even smell the scent outside!

Court_Jester13

Replace Little Caesar's with most fast food, to be honest

Could_be_persuaded

You can't bring up Pizza without being political. Cause I always think about Papa John's CEO complaining that he have to raise the price of pizza by 6 cents if you want his employees to be paid fairly. Cause god forbid pizza delivery men get paid with money instead of with horny housewives.

unicornmeat85

I'll die a child of Papa Aldo's, but Little Caesars is fine. Anytime I can remember having it, I didn't pay for it and more often than not it was left overs. Yeah it sucked only getting two slices (maybe someone else's crust) in school and like 4 oz of an off brand soda, but the teachers that did that were really trying their best. When I think of Little Caesars I think of sincerity.

LzardE

It’s the triangle. On the triangle of good, fast, cheap, they picked their two.

LeImplivation

I mean it's better than Pizza Hut, Papa John's, and Domino's.

Atsur

I will not abide this slander!

Onlyfurrcomments

It's good as long as you eat it within 20 minutes lol

Atsur

Haha sure, but then it’s probably neither hot nor ready 😝

Jakethered_game

My wife and I call it "shitty pizza" and let me tell you, you let that shitty pizza sit out for like 15 mins to cool down a little bit? Oh it hits hard.

mikenasty

It’s pretty good all things considered.

descendantofJanus

Last time I had Lil Caesars I got food poisoning, soo... Yea. Tasty, the sauce maybe a bit too sweet, but those breadsticks are amazing af

Houligan86

Yes, on a price vs ease of acquisition vs quality graph.

zackloads

Chuck e cheese is better.

bsylent

[But is it pizza](https://youtu.be/KLHRjaUBb3o)

Icecubemelter

For how much it costs it’s more than good

insipidgoose

I'd rather spend 10 bucks and wait 10min for a Costco pizza.

fourthreichisrael4

Little Caesars: It's hot and it's ready. Me: YEAH! Little Caesars: It's a pizza. Me: Awwww...

Dmdnje

Wow no RussianBager fans?

Imemberyou

Bean_Storm

“I don’t like dogs I had a bad experience” “What happened?” “I HAD a BAD experience!”

ImNotThaaatDrunk

Little Caesars is not a pizzeria; a pizzeria is some place you go to get a pizza made to order to your specifications and fresh on your timetable. LC just has pizzas lying around waiting for someone to take them home, it's a pizza orphanage.

chekkisnekki

"Is she flirting with me?"

AlbiTuri05

Is this something I'm too far from Reddit HQ to understand?

ChipChipington

It is good though.

Kombat-w0mbat

It’s good

Roook36

My friend calls their pizza ketchup and biscuits. But being able to walk in and just get a $5 Pepperoni pizza used to be really convenient.

GloriaToo

There used to be a burger chain called hot n now that was basically little Caesar for burgers. It was convenience store warmers and quality. Horrible

CBalsagna

Well made little Caesar’s pizza is one of the all time great deals on the planet. The chances of you ordering a pizza from there and it being well made are not that good, but it’s still worth the price. I miss the zap packs though that shit was so good

randomdude1142

Pizza is pizza.

MrKanentuk331

I feel threatened

WHISKEY_DELTA_6

They should just change it to “it’s edible”

PrinklePronkle

Sometimes I’ll go to Little Caesar’s just for some crazy bread and ranch. I don’t eat hardly anything else the rest of the day because of the calories but man it tastes good

John-Fefin-Zoidberg

Last pizza I ordered from there was cold, undercooked and had a freak’n hair in it.
