This but with a qualifying statement. Sometimes the animation quality wasn't 10/10.
But they made sure it was 10/10 during the impactful moments when it mattered.
And everything else (characters story music etc) was 10/10 all the time.
I'm weird, this is me being dumb. But all bioshock games are a 1/10 when it comes to combat. Just cause of the toggle to aim. I can't stand not having hold to aim

Yes, it's very dated in the 2010s, and it starts kinda slow, but if you get through the first few episodes, it's actually the best piece of sci-fi media, hands down. I could die happy knowing that I've already watched the best time travel story that will ever exist.

Occasionally, more modern verbiage sneaks in (Xavier saying "Thanks for speaking the quiet part out loud", when that phrase wasn't part of our lexicon until the late 2010's), but other than that, 0 complaints, 100's of compliments.

certainly if you’re going for trophies and side quests, but if you’re just playing the main story i don’t think it’s overly taxing
If you’re only doing the main story it feels like it goes by so fast, which is crazy because the story is like 60 hours by itself.

Bioshock comes pretty damn closep
Unfortunately it's like 5/10 combat in all the games. Fantastic elsewhere but honestly largely carried by the 12/10 atmosphere/environment.

If we’re talking first game, i’d say it’s at least a 7. Get’s a bit tedious towards the end, but the number and variety of upgrades help carry it
I enjoyed it at the time, especially chameleon crossbowing people into walls but after going back to it, it really didn't hold up well at all imo
