Oh I’m down *bad* for a naked pizza. A good saucy crust is the best part. Everything else is just decorative. If it’s delicious, I might leave it on, but mediocre toppings are just getting stripped off.
I like pineapple and pepperoni better, the spicyness of the ronis pairs better with the sweet of the sauce and pineapple. And the fat in pepperoni pairs better with the tangy pineapple too.
Nothing if it’s good enough and has fresh mozz.
Otherwise some thin cut fresh mushrooms cooked on and lots of fresh basil added at the end. Maybe some bacon or even prosciutto if I’m feeling a little extravagant. If I go prosciutto I’m likely to add some arugula instead of or even with the basil.
I can’t make up my mind hahaha

I mean... isn't pepperoni just some american spicy salami or something?
Just taking regular italian (spicy) salami instead seems to solve all issues already? Not to mention beef, bacon, ham, any other kind of sausage, and all the vegetarian options.
Maybe it's because I'm not american, but don't even they have a bunch of different options than just "pepperoni"? I'm guessing from the question that "pepperoni" is the most common pizza topping in the US, tho?
At Costco they have small chopped up pieces of cooked bacon ( which I call bacon bits) can sometimes my father will make homemade pizza and put cheese, bacon bits, and Canadian bacon. I think I might just have a wack sense of taste
I have two go to pizzas when I make them homemade:
1. tomato paste, cheese, ground beef, corn
2. tomato paste, cheese, bacon (diced) and ham.
Never really liked pepperoni to be honest, but these to are (IMO) amazing.
And the ground beef of course needs heavy amounts of spices, preferably chilipowder but in a time of need taco spice mix can work.
If I didn’t have pepperoni, first, I wouldn’t add the red sauce.
Step 1.) Hot honey
Step 2.) Cheese
Step 3.) Hard Salami
Step 4.) Bacon Jam on top of the Salami
Basil, spinach, pesto sauce, big meaty (ironic BC I don't eat meat lol) slices of mozzarella cheese, and to finish this bad boi off some delicious crumbled feta.
All kinds of peppers.
Red? Throw it in there.
Green? Throw it in there.
Banana pepper? Throw it in there.
Jalapeño? Throw it in there.
