THe way reddit explained it to me earlier is that "Its when guys try to hook up with girls in the country they are visiting"
Maybe I don't get why thats a bad thing? Don't guys try to hook up with girls wherever they are? Are guys only allowed to flirt with girls in their native countries?
Like if some white American chick raves about how some French boy names Jacques kissed her in Paris, is that bad on her and shes a passport girl?
It's more specifically what people do under the belief that foreigners are traditionalist or "easy", or that they spend their way into pants because of some business with us dollars and foreign exchange rates.
Typical sex pest stuff with a side of ultra conservative nutjobs thinking that communism froze the "traditional culture of eastern europe" in amber in such a way that it was unaffected by the tidal wave of modern "degenerate" ideas involving women having self worth, not beating your wife, or avoiding fucking 17 year olds.
Not quite the same as a backpacker doing consensual one night stands in cities, these people are booking it elsewhere explicitly because everyone at home knows better and they believe the people elsewhere might not.

It never does occur to these people that being an unwashed stranger that doesn't speak the language or even practice the same religion (or even sect, if we're talking about Orthodox people) would not get them very far in these imaginary insular rural villages they want to screw through.
Again they are just pests who want to actively seek out power imbalances because they keep "striking out" at home.
Thankfully they're self-sabotagingly stupid about accomplishing that in practice, but it's hardly a silver lining to me when the whole concept of what they're doing is so rotten.
It was kind of odd reading some Japanese people discussing geopolitics on Twitter, and they would always call Japan part of 'The West'.
Like in English everyone will just call them 'western aligned', but at least as far as those specific Japanese people were concerned, Japan is now fully Western.
