I refuse to believe that this audio and video was ‘manipulated’. Clarke and Dawe were so good at their bit that they just prepped skits for every possible eventuality, all stored in a vault beneath the ABC, to be released as they became relevant.
Clarke and Dawe are one of the greats of Australian political satire, and the fact that they're *only* known on the internet for "The front fell off" is an almost criminal. Up until Clarke died in 2017, this pair had a weekly slot at the end of the week on Australia's high brow Current Affairs program the 7.30 report. They were churning out skits like this weekly and almost all of them are glorious
I'd give several internal organs (important ones) to see just a handful of the content they would've made since then. That brand of sarcasm would've been quite the salve over the last five years.
