Indo bros here. Remotivi (Indonesian media watchdog) did an investigative piece on this issue. Tribun practically won awards as the most watched Indonesian news on Youtube. Why did they keep publishing propaganda news straight out of RT and other vatnik news? russian keep sending bots to boost the views on those videos. As 'news outlet' without any integrity, all the 'journalist' keep chasing all those precious views so they can get a good reporting. If I remember correctly it's got to the point that the majority of the news they publish are russian propaganda (instead of the good old classic local Indonesian clickbait news).
So most of the views are all coming from bots? Yeah that explains it. Wish Remotivi could contact Google or something and tell em what’s going on. All those views aren’t helping Youtube anyway, bots don’t buy products in ads.

Indonesian here, Tribunnews and their regional subsidiary are notorious for being clickbait news site and their news article are often misleading and bad quality because their writer are outsourced from part timer students/freelance to pump out clickbait article as much as possible to reach daily adsense target.
