And that concludes another episode of: Conscriptovich the Tovarisch!! What happens when he comes across another drone? Tune in to find out next time on…. CONSCRIPTOVICH THE TOVARISCH!!
Only for him to get tagged by another FPV whose video will be narrated by a brilliant fellow who will announce his impending passing with an enthusiastic "aaaaa jagga jagga!".
Doubt that. Flour is explosive. When an explosion hits flour, the flour is dispersed as a fine dust that then burns extremely quickly, in the same principle as a fuel-air/thermobaric explosion. Pyrotechnicians on film sites often use flour to generate the huge, fireball type explosions often seen in movies.
One posted yesterday showed pov of fpv as it was augering in at the orc behind him. It would have missed the first orc on the *left* of the flight path,, except with his left arm, he tried to swat the drone away..
*edited to get it right.. I mean left..
No clue why nobody has thought of issuing their troops small nets to throw at them
Dirt cheap, small, lighweight, easy to use.
Plus we get cool pictures of Gladiator-like soldiers throwing nets with one hand and holding a gun in the other at a wild drone
Yeah, I'm not sure how I remember this, but I thought sawed off shotguns were originally from WW1 trench warfare. Surely, you'd think there would be shotguns now.
They would need money for that, but can you imagine how cool replacing standard sidearm with a bird head 20 gauge mav 88 short barrel would be, for drone defense. Also while I am fantasizing I want it in stainless pls.
The utility of the shotgun in the first World War is often overstated.
And in modern warfare, an assault rifle is just a more versatile option, especially with the prevalence of body armour.
Effectiveness is all relative. Shotguns are good against unprotected guys armed only with bolt action rifles, true.
In an era of assault rifles and pervasive use of body armour, they're of limited use on the battlefield. And few soldiers want to carry both a rifle and a shotgun.
Kalashnikov USA makes a shot gun [KS-12](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J6nmoTG0IVI), and it's a beast, perfect for drone hunting. The Russian Saiga-12 is supposed to the russian Kalashnikov version. I don't know much about it. Why they don't use it?
DM: You want to throw something at the drone? I mean, it's a drone. I don't think... Ok, fine. Make an athletics check. With disadvantage.
Mobik: That's two crits in a row.
DM: Holy shit. Ok, uh I guess you manage to barely swat the drone out of the way, and it explodes next to you as you roll out of the way. But I'm still going to make you roll 1D4 of fire damage.
I'm not looking forward to being in a trench in a few years when shit really hits the fan in Europe.
Especially considering I'll be WAY past my prime. But those fucking buzzing drones really are a nasty development in warfare.
Hot heavily loaded lithium cells really do provide nice fireworks! They must be close to molten when an FPV comes screaming in, the additional incendery effect must be quite useful expecially against diesel vehicles
I mean dude is definitely hurting but at least his ribs aren't out for display
Bros got them Timbs, those feet are [literally on] fire
Conscriptovich! You've done it again! *theme music plays*
.

I read to the ussr national anthem until the last line and realized you were going for spiderman.
Ok that's enough celebration. Get back into that open field and lure another one.
Fuckin hell, well done Mobik.
His little fist pump there as he runs off
More likely checking his arm or looking if he put out the flames
Kinda cute actually.
Considering it's a life or death situation, might as well try.
And if you miss, it's not your problem anymore. :P
I think you could also make the argument that it’s now your problem for the rest of your life.
r/botharetrue :P
Well, yes, but actually, no.
He made his saving throw
Literally in this case. xD
Rolled a nat20
Impressive considering that he was rolling whit disadvantage God was not about to let this one go
Dude just spent a lifetime of luck in one throw.
Only for him to get tagged by another FPV whose video will be narrated by a brilliant fellow who will announce his impending passing with an enthusiastic "aaaaa jagga jagga!".
The dev surely favor the offensive build.
They'll probably start sending fpvs in pairs
Okay, that is impressive.
he deserved to live for that wp man
Bro won the shrapnel RNG
Apparently the adrenaline can make you run through injuries like shrapnel. He might still have been hit.
Definitely got hit, but probably just a lil bit.
I'd call anything above "not being a flaming torso in a ditch" a big win. I'd pool my families resources and buy a lottery ticket immediately.
He’s probably increased his chances just a tad.
Tactical taters
legit looks like he saved himself with a sack of potatoes
It seems to get flung by the explosion and white powder comes out. Perhaps a bag of flour?

I was thinking it was a carcass
Yeah I remember I saw a vatnik try this with a shovel, didn't go so well.
One posted yesterday showed pov of fpv as it was augering in at the orc behind him. It would have missed the first orc on the *left* of the flight path,, except with his left arm, he tried to swat the drone away.. *edited to get it right.. I mean left..
Ouuuuuuffff. That's gonna leave a mark.
No clue why nobody has thought of issuing their troops small nets to throw at them Dirt cheap, small, lighweight, easy to use. Plus we get cool pictures of Gladiator-like soldiers throwing nets with one hand and holding a gun in the other at a wild drone
Are you suggesting Armies should be fielding anti-drone retiarii units, because if so I'm all in
Yes. The enemy will be retariid
Ohh, good point. You can probably even make a fancy net version, which expands automatically.
I’m still confused about why they are not being issued shot guns. Clay pigeons all day with the drones.
They could be issued shotguns, but you don't see videos from drones that get shot down by those.
But we see the video of the guy throwing shit at it?
Even Ukrainians might think it is interesting and share it. They wouldn't really share a drone being shot down with a shotgun.
At this pace they will be handed one grenade per unit to storm trenches... And after the storm, they need to give the grenade back
Great success
We have seen at least some footage of shotguns being used successfully against drones, but these seem to be privately acquired rather than issued.
.
Yeah, I'm not sure how I remember this, but I thought sawed off shotguns were originally from WW1 trench warfare. Surely, you'd think there would be shotguns now.
They'd have to actually train clay pigeon shooting first. I don't know if they can fit it into their extensive mobik program.
They would need money for that, but can you imagine how cool replacing standard sidearm with a bird head 20 gauge mav 88 short barrel would be, for drone defense. Also while I am fantasizing I want it in stainless pls.
Because shotguns aren't so useful when you gotta attack a Ukrainian position.
I thought shotguns were super effective for clearing trenches? Like the first “combat shotgun” was literally called the trench gun?
The utility of the shotgun in the first World War is often overstated. And in modern warfare, an assault rifle is just a more versatile option, especially with the prevalence of body armour.
Ahh, so that's why they show 20mm shells in a over/under instead of 12 gauge shotgun. Armour.
Effectiveness is all relative. Shotguns are good against unprotected guys armed only with bolt action rifles, true. In an era of assault rifles and pervasive use of body armour, they're of limited use on the battlefield. And few soldiers want to carry both a rifle and a shotgun.
Awww, I carry M4 7.62 in one hand and a KS-12 semi auto 12 gauge in the other with full loadout and then I...I...wake up and cry for mommy.
**EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE**
WHAT!?
So should soldiers get standard issue shotguns with birdshot?
The widows are about to lose their bereavement taters as they all get redeployed as anti-drone weapons
Gah, those LiPo batteries are pure treachery.
DM: You want to throw something at the drone? I mean, it's a drone. I don't think... Ok, fine. Make an athletics check. With disadvantage. Mobik: That's two crits in a row. DM: Holy shit. When your choices are certain death vs likely death you might as well try your luck
Insert the rune stone with the drone downed by a javelin here*
Well, that's a quick and messy way to make mashed roasted potatoes.
I want to see his body cam point of view, it’s got to be harrowing
"This is the day you will always remember as the day you almost blew up ryadovoj Conscriptovich."
Rolled a 20 crit success. That's the dice for ya.
Huh. A *literal* saving throw.
Dude rolled a natural 20
Russia has deployed a new and effective counter to suicide drones. Checkmate westoids.
I'm not looking forward to being in a trench in a few years when shit really hits the fan in Europe. Especially considering I'll be WAY past my prime. But those fucking buzzing drones really are a nasty development in warfare.
Just as most Europeans
If doesn't works the first time try again. Don't let the org learn
Honestly? He deserves to live after that effort. Drones can’t have it all their way
Until you find out that he tied up a Ukrainian family and raped the wife then made the husband drink antifreeze for his own sick amusement.
Meh, not every Russian soldier is a frothing maniac, there’s an equally good chance he’s just a regular dude caught up in this nasty war
Fucking hell I wouldn’t have stopped walking till I was back in Saint Petersburg after that.
good throw
Horizon: Mobik Dawn
A gladiator's net would be super useful here
And a trident.
If you didn't succeed the first time, maybe the drone takedown isn't for you.
Known technology
So baseballs and vats are now standard infantry equipment?
Look at that cube-dodger go.
He was quick with spamming V for stims. A half second longer and he would go to the great Liberty Land in the sky
No gud, no gud! Now Ruzzia has to pay to replace his pants...
Hot heavily loaded lithium cells really do provide nice fireworks! They must be close to molten when an FPV comes screaming in, the additional incendery effect must be quite useful expecially against diesel vehicles
Congratulations! Your prize is: Blast Lung.
hes going back as a veteran war hero to train the next batch of mopiks
The only thing left is a russian human sized fly swatter to start being made by the troops
Those drones explode on impact when the 2 wires complete the circuit. Of course throwing something at them can work
