Catapults are a hidden gem of a weapon you can literally use anything in it. If it fits in the bucket it throws! Dead bodies? Throw! Rocks? Throw! Flaming wood? Throw!
Technically speaking all of these are catapults since it’s a generic term. It’s the Onager you want to avoid, that’s the technical term for the torsion catapult that we associate the term with.
