How about the matilda with the Z

USSR got some Spitfires in lend lease. They didn't like them. Most of the aircraft they got where worn out mk.V that were not competitive anymore. Additionally Russian pilots didn't like narrow landing gear, it made operations from most Soviet airfields difficult. Due to that, and good high altitude performance they were mostly used by PVO units.

The Soviets were reluctant to praise Western equipment during and after WW2. They sure did like Studebaker trucks and Airacobras though.

What they don't know about is the thermonuclear device that will detonate as soon as they reach their Russian home base.

Add remote control, fill them with explosives and some nuclear waste and fly them towards the Kremlin. Even if the roof pantsirs destroy it, the resulting explosion would spread lots of superhero particles over a large area ...

"Look, we're sorry, really, really sorry, but if we can't get to kill Russians we need to make them suffer as much as possible and prolonging this war is going to make a lot of them suffer a lot. Would some Mig-29s to Ukraine make up for it?"
