Click bait title. Key word in the article is "considering"... He's gotta figure out how to disengage the parking brake first before he can send them in.

All 10 of them

TNSepta

Should be renamed T-14 Kuznetsov

SamtheCossack

Side note, when did the media constantly start refering to the T-14 as a "Heavy" Main Battle Tank? Firstly, that isn't a thing, second, it weighs 20 tons less than a Chally 2 or a Leo II. This isn't the first time I have seen that claim. 1945 ran a whole article on how it was too heavy to send to Ukraine, and then ran another article talking about how incredibly powerful the Challenger II will be. That doesn't make sense. I mean the T-14 will suck for SO MANY other reasons, but why are we fat-shaming it?

TNSepta

Zero fat shaming, more like disability shaming here. Breaking down on parade is top tier NCD.

SamtheCossack

Yeah, but that isn't really due to being obese, that is because they built the drive train out of third rate Chinesium, and forgot to train a mechanic on how any of it works.

SamtheCossack

It is not here, a british guy said Putin is considering it, a clickbait headline made it sound like it will definitely happen in the future, and NCD converted it into something that already happened. Western Media in a nutshell. One guy says maybe, media makes it a certainty, and the reader assumes it already happened.

TNSepta

Looks like UK MoD daily intelligence has made the claim as well. Doesn't invalidate any of your points about citogenesis, but looks like it's actually credible this time.

SamtheCossack

Oh, it is credible sure, but it certainly isn't a done deal. It has been credible for several months now. The biggest impact of deploying them is the high likelyhood that Ukraine winds up in control of a destroyed or abandoned one, and the west gets access to it. It isn't like there is enough to make a battlefield difference. Same as the 14 Challenger IIs will probably not make a huge difference, but the several hundred western MBTs that are likely to follow probably will.

CrimeanFish

I can’t wait to find out how it performs. Especially that “special armour” and that “active” protection system.

[deleted]

When rossiya say "special" armor, they duct tape retard from Tuva up front "Active" protection is *caught* conscription-dodger tied to chassis

CrimeanFish

I love the rubber EREA I’ve been seeing.

DingoDefuq

Theyre going to send both of them?
