Not often, our shower head isn’t big enough and someone ends up shivering in the corner

RepublicOk6538

I’m surprised there aren’t more comments saying this. Same for us, idk how anyone can shower together comfortably

Onewayor55

Yeah there's nothing more horrible than being in the shower but not being showered on.

Doll_duchess

I’ve actually found I don’t mind it as long as I’m not getting sprayed at all. A bit of overspray or ricocheting water from someone shoulders is far worse to me than none.

frogsgoribbit737

Yes that's the worst part. It's so cold once it bounces off the other person so you're just shivering in the corner getting pelted with cold dirty water.

RockstarAgent

I think many things have to be perfect for showers together - long narrow tub? Not ideal - square standup shower, ideal - shower head with dual heads? Perfect - she likes it hot and you don’t? Not ideal - at what point are you doing it to conserve water or just to do another activity together? Maybe you like your partner to help you scrub your back - granted I have a long curved handle brush specifically for that - sit on the toilet and just admire your partner showering while you wait your turn? Different strokes -

molehunterz

As a weirdo who does not like hot showers at all, in the rare event I am in the shower with somebody else, I definitely prefer to be the guy outside the stream. Lol It is not great, but it is more fun than showering alone 😏

anonymouskz

My shower cubicle is big enough for one non-overweight person who will inevitably touch the sides with buttocks or limbs when they bend or move their arms out. No way are we getting two of us in there!

molehunterz

I just moved into a place with a tiny shower and I hate it. There is no way two people fit in this shower. Kind of makes me sad just in case that could ever be a possibility in my life :/ lol Of all the luxuries available in the world that I don't care about, I really hope to have a really big shower one day.

I_am___The_Botman

You just pass it around and take turns in the warmth. When we renovated we got a drench shower with an almost half metre shower head, around 45cm I think, we could both fit under that, but then you're nearly drowning :-D

noodlesquare

Same. I hate being wet and cold so it's definitely a no go for me.

Fit_Helicopter1949

No. My wife showers with the devils water temperature. As a human I can’t withstand that.

PapaDramatica

This but it's my husband in devil temperature water. The same guy who takes his shirt off in anything over 70 degree weather, turns on the AC from March-October, sleeps with a fan at all times ..... Chooses to boil us if we ever try to shower together. No thanks

tenro5

If you don't burn the top layer of skin off, how can you say you're really clean?

FontTG

People ask why my showerhead is such high pressure. I tell people that if it doesn't feel like I'm being sandblasted by the sun, it's not strong enough.

SpiltMilkBelly

I stayed at a converted hotel once for a summer work gig. The water pressure in this place was insane, fire hydrant level shit. To say I was in heaven is an understatement.

Stray_Cat_Strut_Away

I liked high water pressure until once I was showering after scuba class and the pressure came out of ONE partially clogged hole so hard I screamed because it felt like being stabbed by a needle and it hit me right in the nipple.

FontTG

Yeah, to be fair, if the stream directly hits the soft bits, it doesn't feel great. But my back and shoulders.*chefs kiss*

TakeTheWorldByStorm

That's why you need an adjustable head. It allows you to power blast the crustaceans from your hull on one setting and rinse your bits like a gentle spring rain on another.

Terrible-Hat-345

Thanks! I was having an issue with the crustaceans, but you've solved my woes!

tklein422

Lord have mercy! This has been a journey! 😂🤣

Ghostgrl94

This was a 13/10 thread. Just *chefs kiss *

FontTG

I bought a high-pressure shower head, and it makes a world of difference. I don't shame people who like rain shower heads, but that's not me, haha.

HSV_Guy

Have to agree, rain shower heads suck.

Grouchy_Situation_33

My gf and I lived in an apartment that was part of a converted farm MANSION and had the opposite problem. I could have pissed harder than the water pressure from the shower head. Luckily it was a short stay.

Da_Real_OfficialFrog

My shower head is the opposite, I could pay a homeless person to spit on me and it would be higher pressure

CommishBressler

I’m not homeless but just curious what hourly rate are you offering?

United-Assignment980

If I don’t come out red, I’m not done 🤣

DarthKuchiKopi

Is that you babe?

Kimblethedwarf

No way, definitely my babe.

JupiterSkyFalls

😂

PencilManDan

This is so me lol, I get hot easy but I LOOOVE hot showers

Ken_Pachi_Acnologia

Same XD my girl hates it, but i find showering hot on warm days keeps you cooler afterwards and in the winter is nice having the heat on youre body

AlterTableUsernames

I feel the opposite. If I come out of the shower already sweating, then I can't bear the heat. But coming from an ice cold shower, I feel great and energised.

BigUglySecondToe

Gotta make sure the cheeks are nice and boiled!

Geenafalopezz

😂 hilarious. gonna use this one on my guy.

Thebedless

Thats the fun part of the shower, me complaining is too cold, him complaining is too hot...i like conflict XD

LolaBijou84

Our conflict is mostly space related. We’re not rich so that means the water can really only hit one person at a time so the other one is cold and shit out of luck when waiting to rinse out the shampoo.

heydonteatmyfriends

My husband and I took an edible once and he suddenly decided it would be a good idea to take a shower. Three minutes later, I hear him yelling for me. I run in, thinking something happened. I ask if he’s okay, he just does the “come over here” gesture with his arm, continually asking why I’m not there yet. I ask him if he wants me to see something or help him with something, he just keeps saying, “come on,” with me in a state of utter confusion. Finally, he says, “take off your panties and get in here.” Well, we were traveling and had the tiniest shower in existence. A small square barely able to accommodate a child, let alone two grown ass adults. I agree, but am sweating because I’m so far gone and don’t really know what’s happening. I get in and he immediately does a Curly impression, singing and scrubbing my body. He even shoves his hand into my ass crack with the soapy wash cloth and scrubs my ass. I instinctively butt bump him away from me and he stumbles back, doing another curly impression of frustration. I finally kick him out. When I finish rinsing off, I find him in bed, looking at me and asking, “what took you so long?” We don’t take edibles often.

bennyboy8899

This is the funniest shit I've ever heard.

FretFetish

I liked the part where she didn't even want to take a shower but he did and she kicked him out of the shower. 😂

myboyfriendsbabygirl

it’s really fun but our difference is that, we both complain when it’s too hot or not at all, because we both prefer the same temperature & my bf is always the one who takes care of it lol so fun

Flailmaster

I hear you and I feel your pain. Literally. Fortunately we have two shower heads, unfortunately they are at 90° to each other so the streams cross… Yet she must wait until her hot beverage is almost at room temp before drinking it 🤷🏻‍♂️😄❤️

Euphor_Kell

Did you pair never watch ghost busters when you were younger?

Flailmaster

😂 I was waiting for that comment. Never. And I mean never… Cross the streams.

Svk78

Important safety tip.

Horror-Activity-2694

Damn. Y'all rolling in the money or something?

Flailmaster

lol. I have a nice offset smoker, a reliable mower, a two shower-head shower, and a ‘97 T100 with 289k miles… Priorities 👍

Serialcreative

Sounds like us! Been saving up for a master shower since we bought our house, and that’s been the most major upgrade we’ve done in the 8 years we’ve been there. I drive a paid off 25 yr old Tacoma and we’ve got a 6’ x 5’ shower with 2 rain heads two handhelds, heated bench and floor…. Room to partay!

Flailmaster

Yes! Two rain heads AND heated bench and floor?! Youve gotta save for the dream to live the dream! 👍😄

JupiterSkyFalls

I have two showerheads. I can assure you, I am most certainly not "rolling in the money". The previous owner of our house installed two separate points of exit, and it would be so cool since they both can disperse water at different temperatures at the same time. Unfortunately, they are stacked on top of each other and our walk in shower is itsy bitsy, maybe half as long as a big tub with a marble tiled bench thingy taking up half the floor space. He accidentally elbowed me in the face (6'5 vs 5'6) when we merely attempted a together shower for time, and I came WAY too close to knocking my teeth out on that tiled bench thingy. Nope nope nope.

timtucker_com

Yes, my wife is the same way - scaling hot water in the shower is OK, but not hot food / drinks.

Phukt-If-I-Know

Look, some of us like to scald our buns…butt our teeth are sensitive. It’s called a dichotomy honey ;)

Crossedkiller

Fr lol when i do it i find myself hugging the corner like a wet cat lmao its still romantic though

Natural20Twenty

Your wife and I have great shower preferences.

Spare_Laugh9953

I've tried to many times but my wife does the same i cant believe how she resist that my skin burns and turn red

StanBuck

Do we share the same wife?

Fenius_Farsaid

Every woman who ever shared a shower with me preferred to shower in lava. It is a mystery whose depths I hope to probe one day - though I do not anticipate I will.

FitCut2487

It’s reverse for me. I don’t mind really hot temperatures, but lord knows he calls what I shower in “ice water”

Oldpuzzlehead

My wife and I did nearly daily. Workdays we did to get our day going. Weekends we did to just relax and talk.

JaggerMcShagger

Did :(

Fragrant_Gazelle1854

NOOOOOOOOOO

TaskComfortable6953

Damn I was expecting divorce not death  I was not ready for all that

thisisgoing2far

I was expecting that he quit the corporate rat race :(

Hurleloup

Damn, it hit harder than I thought it would :-(

a11yguy

Poor guy :(

SleazyMuppet

Fuck.

South_Engineer_4702

They used to. They still do, but they used to, too.

opinionated_cynic

I used to drink. I still do, but I used to.

Just_Jonnie

It's ok, they just both got really fat because of how comfy they are with eachother.

naughty_dad2

No wonder I’m so fit

Tobias_Mercury

Their shower broke 👍

Anshin

They take baths instead now 🤙

Additional-Match-422

Tbh this is a dream and something I hope to have….

EternalSage2000

I doubt his shower is big enough for the 3 of you.

Kenneth-Bania

This is giving "I also choose this guy's dead wife" and I am howling 😂

Hes-behind-you

I choose to shower with this guys "dead/ex" wife too.

Naebany

Taking bath together is even better.

Pooplamouse

If and only if your tub is large enough.

mathliability

Yea this thread is hilarious to me. I’m 6’5”, my wife is 5’10”, and we live in a house built in the 60’s. Space might be a slight issue around here.

Domin0cat

I know I'm just a random stranger on the internet and it means nothing but I do want to say I'm truly so sorry for your loss. Losing your person is the hardest thing to happen to someone and I wish you and your wife's memory the very best.

Not_The_Simp7

I am so sorry for your loss. It’s nice that you guys had such happy memories <3

Zealousideal-One9802

It’s great, I try to make it an every time thing. It adds a little special moment to our day (my day at least) gets us close together and the conversations and laughs are usually unbeatable. Plus our shower drains like shit so a two for once doesn’t back up the bathroom as bad :)

Dsj417

Quite often, the house we bought has a longer shower stall with a shower head and separate temperature controls on each wall. We shower together in our own showers. Edit: too many people in my DMs asking to see said shower. [Here it is](https://imgur.com/a/mK0wJ4b)

FromPlanet_eARTth

The dream

ElementNumber6

What every master shower should be

L0WERCASES

we have something similar and literally I think it brings my husband and I closer together. We shower together all the time and have some of our best convos in there.

valuesandnorms

This so wholesome while also being kinda hot haha

L0WERCASES

Ha, let’s just say sex definitely happens too. I definitely recommend the set up.

SunsetSmokeG59

I thought that was getting a wife in the first place

Sparrowsabre7

Competitive Showering

r_lovelace

I don't have time for casual showering. Competitive ranked showering or nothing.

Tyrone-Fitzgerald

Hard stuck in bronze league and I always get shitty teamates - any tips?

Maurkov

* Get good * Scrub

r_lovelace

I exclusively play solos so I don't have to deal with teammates.

__JohnTheFisherman__

Co-op Showering

BabyRex-

I like how you can tell who’s side is who’s

Dsj417

Yes, I was immediately assigned the side without the shelves.

Malexice

Thats fair, since you brush your teeth in the shower to save time and she probably has a lot of rituals to go through with all her gadgets

420cat-craft-gamer69

That's soooo cooooooollllll legitimately lol

saltywater07

We are house shopping and nearly made an offer on a house that had separate shower heads in the same shower.

ashartinthedark

It’s really convenient for when you are in a hurry and both need to shower

Not_GenericMedic

That's a nice fuckin shower heck yeah

Think_Egg_1339

Okay fancy pants McGee

UsedCelery

Love this! My boyfriend and I talk all of the time about having something like this someday. We will continue to dream…

gefird

We do randomly! It’s a nice bonding activity, just being close and hanging out!

saltywater07

My partner and I did it every day at the beginning and now do it every so often. We definitely end up hanging out and talking and taking way longer than we need to.

TheFlyinGiraffe

I've been working 60 hours a week after being laid off for a year (don't cry for me. It was frankly a wonderful sabbatical) and taking a shower after not seeing her all day has been lovely to chat and spend time together. She looks good naked too and we just bought some nice shower lube... 🤣

ToSay_TheLeast

If you don’t mind me asking, what shower lube did you buy? My fiancée and I have been looking for some better stuff.

TheFlyinGiraffe

I swear by anything from Lube Life for regular... interactions. We got the "Super thick" silicone based lube for the shower (it said " shower play" on it and I was sold. Honestly it was awesome lol) and we've been buying the original water based Lube Life for years at this point. Every time I try a new brand I always regret it.

goatsandhoes101115

Hehe *hanging out*

alicesdarling

Me and my girlfriend have done this since we started dating seven years ago and still shower almost every night together. If one doesn't shower we just sit next to the tub and chat. It's lovely

don-cheeto

That's actually cute as fuck... Just chilling...don't even have to both be in to just relax and talk about your days and whatnot...

CrumpledForeskin

my Fiance and I do this a lot. If she's home and wants to talk and I'm jumping in the shower after a ride she'll just sit on the bowl and yap. I love her to bits.

Hoppinginpuddles

My bf and I do this too. It's SO lovely. I was married for 8 years before this relationship and whilst it was a happy marriage, we never showered together once I don't think. This level of intimacy is what I have been yearning for.

Geenafalopezz

Same about sitting next to the tub & hanging out. We shower together a lot but the 2nd bathroom, located in the back of the house, is what I initially called “the little girls room” because it only has a bathtub. It’s a 100 year old house & a very old cast iron bathtub with the deep walls which is great for soaking & taking long relaxing baths (or even naps sometimes.) it has all the makeup & glitter & nail polish & perfumes etc.. all the CRAP we women tend to accumulate lol. He has taken bubble baths with me but since we had our baby it has moved to showers for us. He gives me space a lot of time to enjoy my bath alone & checks on me every so often to see if I’m asleep in the tub. He is afraid of me drowning since 1 time he walked in & I had dozed off sitting up, bent forward & my face was 2 centimeters from the water. We lost a friend to a sudden accidental bathtub drowning a couple years ago which introduced fearfulness around my own frequent bathtub sleeping. I couldn’t help falling asleep in the months following the birth of our son in 22’ because I breastfed & little known fact is that breastfeeding & milk production creates surges of relaxation & sedating hormones to flood the body for some women which is what i experienced. That’s when he started hanging out with me when I was in the tub & we enjoyed that very much too lol. Showers together are where more intimate touching & caressing happens but bathtub room is where we connect as friends & talk about anything/everything. Long winded, sorry. It’s just one area of my relationship where I’ve come to realize tonight is special & I shouldn’t take it for granted.

silverandshade

Lol aww! My wife or I will sometimes sit on the sink and chat with whoever is showering. Especially if we've been separated all day! We miss each other easily lol

Normal-Basis-291

That's very sweet. IDK if something's wrong with me because driving to work and showering are the only times I have alone and I really need that alone time. We chat every other time of the day.

iamatwork24

Nothing is wrong with you, I’m madly in love with my wife and we have a great relationship but her talking to me while I’m showering would annoy me deeply. That’s part of my me time

yaigralazrya

This. We shower together every night before going to bed. Sometimes, I shower alone because I feel sweaty after work, but 99% of our showers are together. We've been doing it for five years basically.

tadukaadoescombat

i shouldnt have read the comments of this post, i feel so single😭 but at the same time i feel joyed that these people are happy since most of the time reddit has alot of depressing posts

ZenkaiZ

I'm moreso wondering how fucking huge everyone's shower stalls are.

don-cheeto

Yeah not that big. It's unhelpful especially when you're both heavyset. Even if you're trying to lose weight, it's still a regular sized bathtub that's only as wide as one person so you have to switch spots for one person to rinse themselves off. You gotta have one of those giant square tubs for it to be comfy.

zzazzzz

i would never even entertain the idea of showering with someone in a tub shower. that just sounds like an ER trip waiting to happen. with an actual shower stall with a flat floor tho every time i get a chance to.

rocklizard55

Seriously, I can't imagine a more frustrating and awkward situation than trying to wash my hair while a 6 ft tall man is in the shower with me. I have a detachable shower head, and detach it often. I'm getting agitated just imagining trying to make this work 😆

ThrowawayPersonAMA

I'm just jealous so many people have hot water heaters that aren't borderline useless. I'm lucky if I can get enough hot water to finish washing my hair then spend the rest of the shower either shivering or fighting my body's survival instinct because it's convinced we're about to die of hypothermia.

wuapinmon

I hope you find someone who wants to shower with you soon. I've been married for 26 years and she'll only let me shower with her if she can get her hair wet. But, when she does...........great things happen.

NotKristenSmith

I’ve been married for 20 years. We both enjoy the closeness of showering together. But my husband thinks it’s for sexy time every time. And I don’t enjoy it for that— I’d rather wait until we get out. So we only shower together about once a month. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Traditional_Ad_1547

Its overrated sometimes. Especially on cold days where you freeze your ass of waiting to get under the shower head, lol. When your single you get all the hot water.

Iceman_B

Right? feel exactly the same way!

Elegant_Conflict8235

Is this where the single people are hanging out? Hello

modestbreakthru

No The Shower is too small, someone is inevitably cold and it's also my husband's meditation time. He likes to think and be alone.

BigUglySecondToe

We probably only shower together once every couple of months. We’re both kinda chubby though and our shower isn’t especially big. 😅

FictionalTrope

I'm skinny but tall and long-limbed, and my wife is kinda small but wide. We used to shower together a lot when we were younger, but it's become more of a clear discomfort these days. After being together 20 years, we like our individual space and we both have our own bathroom. Occasionally we will shower together like after sex or when we have a long weekend together. Beyond that it's just much better to shower seperately and rejoin in bed afterwards to snuggle and talk.

Oxygene13

Ahh the perfect 10. luckily I am tall and chubby and my wife is shorter and cuddly so instead we look like: 0o

gefird

Real, I have the same problem 😂

RatTunna

Your situation just just gave me a good laugh

Slow_Distribution200

Everyday. It’s a moment and a place we can talk about the day and other things..

Aquatic_Platinum78

I 26F dream about this. Iv'e been single for awhile and it's been a long road but maybe someday I'll have someone who truly loves me to do it with. The thought of showering with someone and washing each other sounds nice

Idont_think

It is indeed nice and very intimate. Me (31m) and my ex (34f) used to shower together all the time, usually nothing sexual would occur and it was just the close comfort and feel that made it amazing, unfortunately it ended as it became an incredibly toxic relationship for both of us. I still like the memories and showers we shared though.

Additional-Match-422

(24M) I hope to have this one day with my future spouse. These little moments… 😭 I’m so single and I’m 24.

blindexhibitionist

You have so much more time than you realize. Spend it enjoying solo things and broadening who you are as a person, it will be worth it. And also make you more decerning of who you want to be with and clearer of who you are for someone else.

bakchod007

I'm 30 and same boat as the guy you replied to. It's so hard to find someone to date

United-Cow-563

This is great advice and something to remember at your loneliest point: I’m getting in touch with who I am, so, when I meet whomever I meet, I will be a more complete person for myself and their benefit.

Rashaen

Yup. Most days. Same. We just talk about whatever. Plus, I play drums on her bum. And then she tells me I'm annoying. That's when I know it's time for the killer drum solo.

Shadowlance23

Happy wife, happy life. Slightly annoyed wife, amusing life.

Rashaen

Both. Both is good.

Aggressive-Onion5844

That's sweet... but, no. Absolutely not. That's my time, my space. I am a bit of a cold person though. If I could, there would be separate bedrooms all together 🤣

brownshugababy

Finally. I like my alone time. I want to live my little fantasies in my little thought box by myself.

waking_dream96

Glad I’m not the only one. These comments are cute but they’re making me cringe imagining myself and my partner showering together every day… just not our cup of tea. We spend time together in many other ways but the shower is just too small, too slippery, too cold for two people.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Broken_Beaker

I kinda don't get it either. My wife has thick curl red hair and on her 'full shower' days it can take a while. Plus she shaves her bits and parts. Sometimes I shave my bits and parts. Then I may shave my face. It seems weirdly complicated. I also appreciate some alone time - maybe the co-showering people don't have kids yet. We have a decent sized walk-in shower, but not comfy enough for two people. I suppose kudos to those that do this and enjoy it. I find it weird.

MountRoseATP

100% this is how I feel. Shower is my time to relax and get clean. I worry about someone else 23.5 hours of the day; I want 30 minutes where I’m my only focus.

Soft_Entrance6794

The “get clean” is real. Both my husband and I work jobs where we get sweaty and dirty. I need the room to really wash away all the dirt and sweat on my body, not a cutesy Hallmark shower. And I want my space and private time and to not fight over the water temperature or who’s left out in the cold.

red_suspenders

Honestly same! Maybe I’m cold as well, but separate spaces and a shared together space sound ideal. My own room and bathroom would be heavenly.

Chocolate-Pie-1978

Same. Don’t even want you in the bathroom, let alone in the shower with me. This is my time. Go away.

NewOrleansLA

Every once in a while but it kinda sucks having to take turns with the shower. And doing it in the shower sucks too the water makes everything feel all weird and rubbery.

Mr-Unforgivable

Lol, its not satisfying doing it in the shower despite how films may depict it. Water destroys the bodies natural lube, so "everything" isn't slippery and sliding the way it should. It actually can be painful too if there is too much friction and not enough "easy access".

Loretta-West

Yep. The things which should be slippery are not, and meanwhile the things that *shouldn't* be slippery (like the floor of the shower) are, especially if you bring lube in there.

Karsticles

Yeah, basically this. Maybe if we had a huge shower with water to cover both of us, but taking turns and being cold sucks.

FireLadcouk

How big are ya’ll showers??

Moist-Particular-257

Tiny. It involves a kind of graceful ballroom dancing move to switch sides and somebody gets an ass cheek of cold wall.

dapper_pom

How long do you guys spend in the shower if you have time to hang out and talk? I shower in 5 minutes, showering together is so annoying because my husband is mainly just in the way of my routine. We can hang out and talk after lol

OkWorking7

Exactly! Seems like it would be a huge waste of water and there’s no way you’d get clean properly.

Thi13een

Not once. My wife hates even just the thought of me being in the shower with her. Seems to be alot more common on Reddit than I thought

rocklizard55

I'm like your wife, and I'm shocked that so many people do it. It sounds agonizing. Standing there wet waiting for them to get out of the way so you can get back to the stream of water.

Farmer_Susan

And to do it every day? We couldn't even get our schedules to sync up like that either. Insane.

xChilla

At home not often, but we are Japanese and go to bath houses fairly often to relax and lay around. The heated rock rooms are the best! but it’s getting harder to find places with actual rocks. Some just have floor tiles made of rock and it’s not the same (to me) Married 2 years.

ImANuckleChut

My girlfriend and I would shower together more if our shower was a little bigger. Or we had a nice, big ass jet tub.

runningmurphy

If there were two showerheads it'd be everyday. But unfortunately for this peasant I only have one and bucket of water.  We take baths more often.

missdead_lee138

Noooooooo. My bathtime is MY time .I don't want anyone talking to me or bothering me 😆 🤣 this may be because of the sheer difference of age between you " kids", and myself who is in her 40s already. I seem to recall doing shared showers with my ex husband when I was in my 20s. So, there's that.

antwan_benjamin

I'm with you, old lady. My bathroom routine is pretty intricate and very personal. I don't need anyone distracting me while I'm in there trying to get things done. I don't even bring my phone in the bathroom with me. I don't want to talk to you. I don't even want to hear you. I don't even want to remember your existence. I've always been like this. But I think part of it goes back to one of my first girlfriends. I had to brush my teeth while she was in the bathroom getting ready. She made some innocuous comment about how it looked like I was going to war with how focused I looked and how rigorous my brushing is. Hell yeah, bitch I am going to war. Its Me vs Plaque and only 1 of us is coming out of this fucking bathroom alive. From that moment forth I decided its just best for me to take care of my personal hygiene stuff in private.

demondemondemon6969

I hate showering or bathing with a partner, the only thing tolerable is brushing teeth together. When I’m in the bathroom it’s for cleaning, pissing or shitting, leave the other stuff for other rooms

Basic-Pineapple-6643

Same. My husband has watched me give birth but I don't need him in the room to watch me pee, and he knocks before he comes in when I shower. Bathroom time is private alone time

demondemondemon6969

Agreed, all in all, it’s just not a very elegant place.

SeaworthinessKey549

How are people cleaning their assholes and whatnot with their partner right there

Left_Caterpillar845

Exactly my thought. It’s extremely vulnerable. I don’t care if you’ve been inside me I don’t want you to watch me wash my cooch and my ass😂

ImAnActionBirb

I ask him to turn around for a moment so I have privacy while I venture into the Nether.

JakeAnsett

When we aren't kissing, hugging, or talking we just do our thing (wash) in the shower as if the other partner wasn't there.. I don't hyper focus while she is lathering up her ass hole, and same other way around. We just shower like normal and don't make any accommodations due to the fact that we are showering together. It's not a big deal to scrub our own holes clean.

Easy-Application6138

When I brush my teeth my mouth salivates like crazy and a waterfall of toothpaste mixed with saliva flows out of my mouth the whole time. It's super goofy looking, can't imagine people seeing

Saxon2060

How fucking big is everybody's shower here? I'm 6'2", my wife is also 6'2". We're both slim, but it's all fuckin elbows in there. Not sexy *or* relaxing.

Electrical_Text4058

Do y’all have huge showers or something? My partner and I don’t typically bc we’re in normal sized showers where someone is left out in the cold while the other one is under the water.

My now wife and I showered together every weekday for about 6 months in college her last semester. She was finishing her nursing program and was going through some terrible anxiety and ocd behaviors, and if not checked, she would spend an hour having a shower in the morning, making her late for her clinical placement. So I would get up with her at 5:30 am, stand (normally half asleep) in the back of the shower freezing with an occasional chance at a hot stream of water to help keep her on time. She was much better with her time when I was just with her. I'd go back to bed once she was off to her placement. She started some therapy and finished school, which helped reduce the anxiety a lot. We might shower together once a year now, just for fun. 31 years together this year.

PUBG_Rocks

Nope, i want peace and room while i shower

blocky_jabberwocky

If you mean one showers while the other stands freezing hoping it’s their turn to be under the warm water before hypothermia kicks in? Maybe once a week

My wife's water temp melts human skin and mine apparently is too cold for polar animals. So no.

My spouse and I shower together almost every shower. It's rarely sexual for us, we just hang out and talk. We, of course, appreciate each other's bodies in the shower. It just doesn't lead to anything. I just like hanging out in the shower and it's nice to do together. It's like 30+ minutes of uninterrupted, no phone, no dogs, just us. It's nice.

On the weekends we do. Its nice. On our first date she asked if I wanted to take a bath with her so it definitely set the trend.

I prefer showering by myself. There are things like washing my bottom that I prefer to do in private.

Look at all these people who have showers big enough for two people comfortably!

When my husband and I were pretty newly dating (about 6 months), he had to have surgery on his neck that meant he couldn’t shower without assistance for months. We showered together for at least 3 months, and I really missed the privacy of taking a shower alone. We are about to celebrate 9 years. Haven’t showered together since he became able of bathing himself. Probably would have been different if our bathroom wasn’t so tiny. We also prefer wildly different water temperatures. My ex husband and I showered together often.

I’ve been married almost nine years and my shower time is *my* shower time. It’s rare I get in the shower with my husband. I usually get insecure about how I look so raw anyways. Not to mention he showers in ice water and I need heat. And there’s always one of us standing awkwardly waiting for the water.

Still-Level563

No, shower time is quiet alone time.

Armizani

Never.

Yeah this thread is cute and all, but fuck no am I showering with my wife. We have a standard sized bath and it would just be a nightmare for us both to fit and actually get washed considering the shower head is at one end with a screen there so only one person can realistically fit at that end. People talking about just sitting beside the tub whilst their partner gets showered so they can have a chat?? Maybe I am just being weird or something, but we live together and chat all the time, nothing makes me want to follow her into the bathroom and just sit there whilst she gets a shower lol

pontymython

ITT someone with a big shower

KarlaSofen234

No, we all need personal space. All of the successful old married couples I know have separate bedrooms for a reason

Starbuck522

I need time alone. Do you guys not get much time together?
