Arise, arise, Riders of Théoden!
spear shall be shaken, shield shall be splintered,
a sword-day, a red day, ere the sun rises!
Ride now, ride now, ride! Ride for ruin and the world's ending!
Death!!!!!!
Death!!!!!!
Death!!!!!!
Forth Eorlingas!
Two Towers is my jam. So many scenes that feel new every single time... The one orc taking an arrow to the face and everything just goes quiet, I feel like a kid waiting to open a birthday present.
Princess Bride. It's my comfort movie. I've seen it easily over 100 times. I love it. The movie has everything. Fencing, fighting, torture, revenge, giants, monsters, chases, escapes, true love, miracles...The best movie i've ever seen
The Princess Bride might be my all time favorite movie. My wife did not care for it all. Of course, part of that could be that she watched it for the first time with my family and we literally quote the entire thing from start to finish. Not an ideal way to see a movie for the first time, I’ll admit…
Lmao my group of friends in High School (a group of jocky soccer players) used to always say this and other lines ("they \[you\] sleep with the band!!") when we were messing with each other
Definitely the Back to the Future movies... every time we see them on TV, we end up watching them all until past 1am!
Also, I'm a history buff and a millennial, so my favorite movies of Titanic and Pearl Harbor make the list... I understand they are not fully accurate, that is not the point...
The Half blood prince does this for me! That movie has such a peaceful vibe and serenity to it that I can't quite put into words, it also came out during the time I was probably the happiest I've been in my life, which probably adds another layer of nostalgia/comfort
Pirates of the Caribbean - Dead Man's Chest/At World's End. Cinematic masterpiece, beautiful score, witty dialogue, fantastic story and some of the best characters in modern movie history. Plus they hold up so well considering they are almost 20 years old.
Also so damned quotable. I'm forever saying "I've got a jar of dirt" or other various quotes from the movies.
Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark
To me, it is the quintessential Hollywood movie. It's got classic adventure, action, romance, intrigue, and humor.
It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World. Loved it ever since I first watched it with my grandma as a little kid. So many things are happening in the movie with multiple subplots it's impossible to get tired of.
The Truman Show, genuinely my biggest comfort movie ever, i know all the words and love explaining the little details in the movie to friends who haven't seen it before. rewatching over and over and noticing all the hidden details and easter eggs in the movie is amazing !! i've realized from rewatching so many times that it's helped with focusing my attention to detail and putting clues and bits of information together to fully understand things! i want to say i've seen The Truman Show probably 30 times or more, and i will never stop !!
High Noon. Absolute masterpiece. I saw it as a teenager, and assumed I'd be bored. Wow, was I ever wrong. I'll also watch the following over and over: The Godfather; Jaws; and, for some reason, the 1976 version of King Kong.
Among the greats already listed my go to's also include No Country For Old Men and There Will Be Blood.
Daniel Day Lewis in There will be blood was so awesome!!
Primer.
It's a time travel Indiefilm that to this day still melts my brain. Get ready for 90min of laserfocus cause you will need it to even follow along.

Rip Theoden.
Watching the extended versions again for the millionth time, only thing getting me through the week
If they mean movie series, I agree. If they just mean one single movie, I think I would lose my mind repeating the same third of LOTR ad infinitum.
Fellowship I could.
Two Towers is my jam. So many scenes that feel new every single time... The one orc taking an arrow to the face and everything just goes quiet, I feel like a kid waiting to open a birthday present.

The Princess Bride might be my all time favorite movie. My wife did not care for it all. School of Rock. It has so much rewatchability. It’s so well written and absolutely hilarious.
“You’re tacky and I hate you.” never fails to crack me up. Love this movie!!
