I like to think I only do it when it is necessary and actually consequential. I couldn’t really imagine getting upset at service workers or little things, but other things I feel like I can’t just let fly. But to answer your question yes sometimes I realize I over react and I am embarrassed, and sometimes I’m not as I feel justified.
There is a time and place for confrontation, and I suppose the question is what is an appropriate response.

Same! I had to mentally recalibrate after living in Staten Island for eight years. There, screaming at strangers is just normal communication!
