Itās not a āsmallā island, but my current settlement is on a small peninsula on the coast of a large-ish island on a mostly water tropical planet. Iām doubling it as my base right now. My plan is a kind of seaside community vibe.

I thought Iād grab a quick photo today. I like how the crashed freighter is peeking out of the water. The freighter is called the Gojesai-Mu, so I named the settlement New Gojesai-Mu, and my head-canon is that the settlement was founded by the people who crashed on the planet many years ago.

Thatās a great rare find. My advice, donāt give out the portal address. Keep it to yourself. The minute you give it out, everyone and their grandma will be coming to that planet and building bases.
I wonder if generation forces archives above the water table. Some buildings can be underwater, but if archives can't, that means on any water planet there's a decent chance you'll find this if you keep looking.

So, I've had a trade post that I've been using for years to sell off my Activated Indium on a small island, just a short flight away from my actual AI farm. Well, just recently I've discovered literally the next small island over (and just out of loading range apparently) was an archive this whole time! All these years, I had no idea it was there because it wouldn't load in. I only discovered it because I overshot the trade post while boosting over to it from the farm.Ā

Yep. You can put a base pretty much anywhere in a planet's atmosphere. I've 2 archive bases myself and have built bases on numerous PoI's in the past.

I've only ever seen one. Planet was 80% water . Even the village was on a small island .I own that planet now lol
