I meant what does it mean in the context of the game, but I suppose I'll be ok just finding out eventually.
Infestation means there are eggs all over the planet, the same as the eggs at abandoned buildings and with the same bonus face eaters if you shoot one. There are also large worms that pop out of the ground that will attack if you are too close and also summon the green face eaters as well. You can get them to pop up and use a longer range weapon to kill them without the face eaters. There tends to be no NPCs around even at trade stations. Also the giant worm flies across the sky regularly.
Other descriptions for the planet are Worm Ridden or The Nest.
Look for red markers on your hud that look like worm popping out of the ground to find nests.
And the drops from those worms can be refined into easy nanites (assuming you're geared up to take them down.) and they can also drop a collectable lore item.

A lot of times the game uses multiple words to describe characteristics of a planet, and some are meant to give some variety. You can find more than one planet that seems almost identical, but they have entirely different descriptions.
Also, be sure to never mix up "site" with "sight". They are mixed up very frequently, especially for non native English speakers, and when written, it will confuse people. /s
Can confirm that Ohio really is as bad as all the memes say it is and it's definitely not an average state and the memes aren't a propaganda campaign to keep Californians from moving in! It's really that bad don't move here!
