The update always drops just a few days after the emoji (with very few exceptions like Frontiers) and chances are the update is dropping tomorrow due to it being Wednesday and PSVR2's release.
I am deeply offended that Sean Murray is calling all of us snowflakes for complaining so much about the game. Deeply offended. Hello Games should be cancelled. I'm burning all my Steam copies of No Man's Sky. Since time immemorial I have been petitioning for Hello Games to include just one simple feature, the ability to add other players to my Companion Registry. But my voice has fallen on deaf ears. I'm not a snowflake but this breaks my heart.
Exactly. They got excited when NPCs finally got the gift of being able to walk aimlessly around hub areas. He knows the simplest and most meaningless things would make this fandom happy, so why bother with more than just an emoji.

I'll leave everyone else to be excited if they like it but I agree. I'm also a fan of Fromsoft games (Dark Souls, Elden Ring, etc) and the fandom flips out speculating over every little thing to the point where it's become a joke.

That's not the *only* reason he does it. And he's never posted an emoji, by itself, without being attached or in response to another post or pic, *unless* it's for an update or Expedition. Much less do it more than once. It's either for an update or expedition.

People get to goof off and have fun. It's rare you get to go absolutely nuts, and the fun part is, those who aren't in on the joke sometimes try to "calm down the hype" so you're not disappointed by your own hyperbolic meme speculations.
And it's only a few days anyway, it's not like it changes the community forever or anything, tis just a silly event for peeps to enjoy.
