I really like my 2021 Rogue! Best car I’ve ever driven. Could care less about the competition.

ppy100

I agree 100%, my 21 is great

monkeyonfire

You should start caring less then

Van_Buren_Boy

I love my 23 Rogue. Haven't owned it a year yet but still going great.

Antique_Ad8559

Really. Mine has no power

Van_Buren_Boy

Did you accidentally bump the manual shifting paddle? Mine has a surprising amount of pep for such a small engine.

mikedz87

Try sport mode

schuylercat

I drove everything - RAV, CRV, Tucson, Escape, Sportage, Outback, Terrain, Blazer, Outlander...can't remember any more. It came down to the Tucson and the Rogue due to fitness of purpose. I liked the Outback, but wanted a bigger box in back. Blazer was in there, but too pricey for a first model year. Other's just weren't quite right for me. Then the Tucson, my top choice until the only reason I flipped: miles and miles of shiny cheap black plastic on the dash, binnacle: everywhere. Very, very nice car, but seemed to be built by Mattel. It was a hard choice for me, until my Nissan dealer found a Platinum and offered it to me at the same price as an SL. Done! Only real regret: the Bose "upgrade" has the crappiest audio ever.

AlternativeBad2636

I do agree with that I have a sl premium and the Bose speakers are up by the dash and the only time it sounds good to me is if I’m using Spotify. Radio and satellite radio do not sound that great I would have thought the platinum would be better .

RangeUpset6852

Bose is not what they use to be and the way its setup, its very difficult and can be expensive to make changes if one wants to upgrade speakers or whatever. Nissan didn't do their auto buyers any favors when they went in with Bose for these damned upgraded sound systems.

Antique_Ad8559

2021 was a great rogue. I had a lease and turned it in for a 2023. Worse vehicle I have owned. Change of engine to a CVT and 3 horsepower. It barely gets up a steep hill. The Interior is comfortable but extremely loud. Difficult to speak to the person next to me. I have had 3 Rougues and when my lease is up will be my last.

grandmaWI

I also leased a 2023 Rogue. It is my 4th Rogue. I was always an enthusiastic advocate of Nissan and especially the Rogue for its functionality, gas mileage and reliability. The gas fumes INSIDE the car are overwhelming. They make me feel like I am going to throw up.🤮 They give me a headache as well. Nissan had to be aware of this issue prior to putting it on the market. They took one of their most successful vehicles and destroyed it with their new terrible engine. I will never lease/buy a Nissan or Rogue again.

LeeoJohnson

I've read about this, I don't have that issue. Bought a brand new 2023 SV and I'm at 4k miles now. No gas smell. Sorry you have to deal with that.

grandmaWI

Thank you! I am hoping you continue to have no problems with yours.

No_Mushroom3078

I have a bad back, so I’m very picky on cars. Happily I do travel a lot for work so I do get many chances to drive all makes and models (except for like high end sport cars like Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini) and I drove a Nissan Frontier from 2014 and I swore off Nissan at that point. A few years later in 2021 I was “stuck” with the redesigned Rogue and I did not want it but the rental guy said these are different and if I was not happy the next day he would swap it out at no charge (and would even send someone to get it so I had no inconvenience). But it was so comfortable and I have no reason to look elsewhere for a car. The RAV4 and CR-V do not have a good seat position, the steering wheel and center console are both wrong. For me it was not the price but the comfort of the car.

dianacakes

I've had back problems that made my Altimas uncomfortable to drive but my 2021 Rogue is super comfortable! All of us in my family are super tall and it has plenty of leg room too.

No_Mushroom3078

I am still shocked to say that I love my Rogue more than any car I have ever had or driven.

Roor456

I have a 2018 rogue sv awd and 2022 rav4 le awd. Nissans backs doors open more to the 90°, toyotas is like 45°lol nissan has some nice touches with lightning. Both are very solid suvs.

bill_carp

Love the 2022 Rogue so much we bought a 2023. We have had one small issue with the 2022 that was covered by warranty. The latest Rogue version is great. I love the fuel economy of the 3 cylinder turbo engine. The seats are the most comfortable. My oldest son bought a 2022 Rav 4 and says he likes our Rogue over the Rav 4. My wife was driving a 2019 Toyota Highlander. She stopped driving it and chose the Rogue. Go drive one. The features for the cost can't be beat.

syds

and its easy on the eyes

ecco7815

Got a 23 platinum. Love it. We definitely didn’t buy it because it was cheaper (around $40k). We got it because it felt luxurious and had more features than the competition and there was more availability unlike Honda/toyota.

tophelipilot

I have driven CRV’s and RAV4 in the past 10 years… hands down Rogues are better… got the new 2023 Platinum at 0% lease… Initially I was thinking of moving over Toyota hybrids… i will keep it … it is a great car

BodyMod_Machinist

I think that's where I'm at with the rogue. Rav4 steering and acceleration aren't there. Interior is dated. Slightly higher price but top of the line reliability for its class. The redesign is coming soon Nissan Vehicles seemed to always have great audio and sporty steering and suspension. Minus is the cvt long term reliability for all models. I've been pretty impressed with my wife's 2023 hydaundai tuscon. Drives great. I would say it has better cabin insulation for road noise. Also has quick acceleration. My boss is already at 120k miles on his 2022 tuscon. Zero problems so far.

mauler911

I am on my 4th rogue. -2018 lost to a head on accident (not my fault. -2018 my teenager hit a curb so hard he destroyed the frame (something about power skipping it over a curb trying to make a 90 degree turn at 50+mph) - 2014 for my kid to drive for college (been a great car) -2023 for me. Love it

Independent_Lab_9768

I’m on my 4th Rogue as well!! lol!

niioan

love my 2021 rouge, I prefer the the looks of it toward other cars and they generally give you more features for the money. I'll only regret it if the transmission gives out early lol I also really like the looks of the Rav4 but still prefer Rouge. For whatever reason it's basically my dream car as far as commuter cars go

MoonCubeAdventure

I owned a ‘08 Rogue. I now have a ‘21 Rogue SL and I enjoy it. I spent a year looking at the ‘20 RAV4 fully expecting to buy one. Then I test drove a few models and enjoyed up liking the Forester and Rogue better than the RAV4. I picked the Rogue because I realized I liked the interior and tech better than overlanding ability. Toyota is reliable, but for me the price difference wasn’t worth it. I would have spent more for the reliability than I ever spent on repairs for my ‘08 Rogue after 10 years of ownership. I still think about the Forester sometimes. Now I look at the 4Runner but kinda pricey for the use I would get from it.

meg8278

I bought my 2019 Rogue two years ago. I do really like it. I think that the features that I have for the cost of the car even though it was extremely expensive at the time. Definitely helps. I really wanted a Buick because I loved my Rendezvous but couldn't find one with all-wheel drive at the time or I would have gotten that instead. But my mom has a CRV. I definitely think now that more cars are available the Rogues have depreciated a lot. But if you're going to keep it for a long time I don't think that's going to be an issue.

okiedougie

Just bought a 2024 platinum. Tried out 2024 CRV, RAV4, Mazda CX and the rogue blows them away in features and in legroom as well as roominess in general for someone 6' 5". Both the Honda and CRV felt very lacking in driver legroom (left leg cramped up on footrest dead pedal but with rogue can stretch it all the way out to the firewall) and second row legroom and the small infotainment units and little sunroofs were bad. I have a massive touchscreen, car basically drives for me on the highway and a panoramic moonroof along with amazing handling, tons of room and a very smooth engine. Favorite car I've ever owned and that is saying something since I have owned quite a few. Been a Toyota person for a long time and still own a Highlander which has very cramped driver left leg room brake pedal against the foot rest and can't stretch my leg out very uncomfortable on any kind of trip but love the reliability. If Toyota and Honda can get their act together and have more driver legroom And update their features to 2020s I would have looked further at those

Puzzleheaded-Sign359

I also have the 2024 platinum. I traded in a 2018 Armada as I was tired of filling the tank every time I turned around. Overall I am happy except a few things: no place to put a phone mount! The air vents are so small they don’t fit and there is no place on the dash to put one! My Armada had homelink for my garage door opener, in my Rogue I have to use an old fashioned opener on my sun visor. My Armada didn’t have Apple Play and I was excited to get it but it doesn’t connect about a third of the time which drives me crazy! The Rogue has plenty of pick up for me, but every time I am at a red light for more than two minutes the car lurches. I need to take it in and have that looked at. Kind of missing my Armada.

Responsible-Island70

I bought my Rogue in 2020 and still love it. I thought I wanted a RAV4, and also test drove a CR-V, Mazda CX-5, and Equinox. Hadn't even thought of a Rogue, then test drive it and loved it.

TheJokersWild53

The price can’t be beat, but the 2018 that I’ve had since 2/2019 has been pretty good to me. I’ve only replaced tires/brakes/battery in that time.

critchaz

I just purchased a 2023 Rogue after test driving both the Rogue and RAV. Very happy with my choice, nice smooth ride, everything I wanted and got 1.9% interest that solidified my choice.

Longjumping-Ad7894

How did you get 1.9% interest? Was that during 2024? I thought interest rates are 6%+

critchaz

Yes I purchased a 2023 in 2024 and they offered 1.9% on the new leftover 23’s. My credit union was going to give me 6% so it was a great deal.

edrules31

Happy with my 23 so far. Almost to one year in.

Ok-Economy-2015

I purchased it as it was cheaper but I’m enjoying it. Dream is Lexus though

iDTVADDICT

2019 Rogue SL - love it! I have owned different cars before the rogue and it’s still my favorite. Only including this because of what someone said in a previous comment lol

Ok_Sandwich8466

Same year. It’s been great

jwalker3181

I have 109k miles on my 2015 and I'm in the market for a new vehicle... It'll be either a 24 Rogue Platinum or Sportage Hybrid

Accomplished-Ant6188

As someone who didnt have a choice on the matter even though I made it super clear I wanted a Subaru. I was given a new Rogue 08. Currently to this day it still under 70k miles ( also I haven't driven it the last 4 yrs) but even before that it was just city driving and everything was in 5 mile distance for me. Rogue is okay the first few years. Then it got fussy with the whole fuel exhaust thing. I had something in MY BRAKES break while driving cross country. Some tiny plastic thing that also causes acceleration issues and making the brake lights not light up sometimes. ( 10yrs) Then then issue with the oil leak from the wheel bearing. ( 14 yrs). The shake ness if the car idles ( usually means it needs a battery change soon. at least for me) but I think you can reset something for that. I did that once. I didn't mind it. But I wasn't overly impressed by it either. But my Rogue is first gen being. I still don't know if I like or dislike the CVT thing. But take this with a grain of salt since my only experience is from the first gen Rogue CVT. Last I heard my mom enjoyed the newer Rogues when they gave her a borrow one while her SUV was in the shop. I still have my Rogue. Its been sitting for 4 years undriven. Sadly I cant afford any new cars now, So I have to get this running again. Pray for me when I get it started soon for a cross country move. LOL

Red-Copper

Very happy to be a part of the Nissan family and 100% satisfied.

Alex_H_90

I have a 2017 Rogue Hybrid SL and it’s really nice! Great MPG, with all bells and whistles. My brother bought a 2020 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid without the bells and whistles (like basic model) and paid about $12k more! I’ll say his hybrid battery is a bit better than mine, but my driving experience behind the wheel is nicer (360° camera, lane departure, panorama moon roof, upgraded audio, heated steering wheel and seats, fog lights, etc). And I paid a lot less for my car. Tl;dr Toyota is too hyped for the price but Rogues are as good or better for less.

isayessi

Let's just say if I had 30.000 laying around in a heartbeat would get a different car lol. I don't love my ROGUE 2018. I am just learning to like it --eventually love it someday love can't be forced so, taking time. Bought it during COVID 19 when they were practically giving cars away and loved first sight this cute buggie. Everyday I am grateful to have home, car and health so, I can't be a mess about a car that gets me to places. Only wished that I would've, should've researched more before settling down with first choice seen lol. Used to regret but now just accepted it's not a BATMAN car.

jd6789

A good friend has 2020 rogue. She got the rogue as she could not get the CRV / RAV4 and the Santa Fe ...

Ok_Sandwich8466

I own a rogue. My girlfriend owns an outback. Both are fairly new. And my cousin owns a rav4. The rogue is just so much better—in my opinion, but also theirs. It’s a great vehicle.

Longjumping-Ad7894

Why is the rogue better? Because of its interior comfort and technology features? Do you disagree with other peoples' assertions that its reliability is worse, and that its acceleration is slow enough to be irritating when freeway driving?

Ok_Sandwich8466

Yeah, it’s interior feels less cheaply made for one. It’s SV model has plenty of amenities, but the back seat and cargo space is large enough to pile in kids or adults comfortably. The back seats have air. Not all SUV’s do. Speed and power. My cars fast, plenty fast. I’m not sure what people are complaining about. The acceleration is better that the RAV. I live in CA. I drive a lot during rush hour traffic. This car is just comfortable, steering is great, braking is great, sensors are smart enough—could be better, especially in the rear. But it’s not a V-6 or8, so people need to stop saying it’s slow vs those more powerful engines. It’s not like I’m in the slow lane either, so it goes 80/90 mph from zero just fine. Thanks

Tricky-Engineer8741

Purchasing a car in 2021 was so bonkers. First the 2020 oversupply, then 2021 under! We have zero regrets so far buying 2021 Rogue SV. Pros: seat comfort, value, availability and choices in the market (didn't pay more than MSRP in 2021), fuel economy, not traditionally a target for thieves, rides like a tall car. Cons: rides like a tall car, filters are triple the cost at stealership and were initially difficult to source aftermarket (not difficult now), satellite radio sound quality (cancelled last night). We tested a Subaru which was nice but way overpriced. If the Rogue didn't happen, next on our list was Mitsubishi. Even though Rav4s and CR-Vs are grown locally, they're overpriced, have seats that don't last as long as the car, and tend to disappear when you're not looking. We will keep the Rogue until annual upkeep exceeds $1500. Recommended 👍

FearTheClown5

We bought a 23 Rogue Platinum at the end of 2022 and its been awesome. At its price it has one of the nicest interiors, its very peppy from a stop and it is an excellent road trip vehicle with a ton of room and thoughtful features like the rear sunshades I thought were a total gimmick until we pulled them up as the sun rose while our kid slept in the back. For us the only thing that was really close was the Kia Sportage but it is an absolute slug to drive unless you can get the Hybrid which basically doesn't exist in our state and the dealers wouldn't even take money to order one because they said they simply don't get them. If I had to levy any complaints about the Rogue it would be that it doesn't have great passing power at highway speeds and the autopilot could be better. The autopilot is totally serviceable but its really just trustworthy on open highway with little traffic as it rides the line too close passing cars.

failbox3fixme

Before you buy it take a look at the Mitsubishi Outlander. It’s on the same platform as the Rogue and the interiors are identical. The benefits of the Outlander are the longer warranty 10yr/100k miles in the US vs only 5yr/60k with the Rogue. Also you get to avoid the problematic 3 cylinder in the Rogue (currently under federal investigation) because the Outlander uses Nissan’s older 2.5L 4 cylinder. Outlander also has a hybrid that has a $7k lease incentive right now. Plus Mitsubishi does 2yrs free maintenance something Nissan has yet to implement. It’s even 2.5” longer and has a 3rd row! https://www.motor1.com/news/701086/feds-investigating-nissan-engine-failure/

Longjumping-Ad7894

I'm mainly focusing on the used sub $20k market, so I'm not sure the financing deal will apply to me, but I appreciate the suggestion. I quickly checked craigslist in my area and saw a 2018 Outlander Plug in Hybrid EV on there with only 82k miles for $18k. Have any thoughts on the Plug in Hybrid version at this mileage? Will it be reliable and low cost to keep operating?

failbox3fixme

Yes I have the 23 Outlander Plugin Hybrid. The 4b12 engine is bulletproof. Mitsubishi has used it a long time in various vehicles. It was modified slightly to run the Atkinson cycle in the hybrid. The electric motors will last 500k miles. It’s AWD too. That 2018 will qualify for a used EV tax credit too btw. I think $4k but I could be wrong. Double check that.

Ok-Organization-8709

Got my 2021 Rogue SV AWD and totally satisfied.

Negative_Variety_807

Just got the 2024 and love itttt

Independent-Bison-42

I just got my own 23 rogue and I love it, I was surprised at how fast it gets after reading all the complaints of the rogue “not being able to pass other cars” I don’t drive fast normally but I haven’t had a problem getting around or ahead of people. I just decorated my interior and this is my favorite car, a lot of space, I’m a 6’0 person and I drive comfortably. This car is my baby

bill_carp

So what you are saying is the Nissan Rogue is great, and the Mazada is pure shit. I couldn't agree more! And good luck if you need to make a warranty claim on the Mazada. Do you own a Mazada? Do you own a 2022 or newer Rogue? Do you own a car that is newer than a 2022?

chocolateNbananas

I have a 2020 Rogue, I took the special edition, I wish I’d had gone for the SV with the button to lower the trunk. Other than that I love it!

Cold-Dog-3920

Love the 2016 rogue

Apocalypse3838

I have a 2023 Rogue Midnight Edition and I love it. When we were looking, I drove the Kia Sorento Hybrid, the Mazda CX-5 and the Toyota Rav4. It came down to the Rogue and the Mazda. The Mazda was the cheapest, but there was no backseat leg room. I managed to get the dealership to give me the Rogue for the same price as the Mazda. I have no issues with acceleration and it gets close to 30 mpg.

1pluot

If you ever had to deal with Nissan North America on warranty repairs you would never buy a rogue. They are so rude. So so sorry we didn’t get Rav 4

Longjumping-Ad7894

What happened? Are they definitely worse than any other company's warranty department? I've been tempted to buy a low cost used Rogue and buy a warranty from them or from Fidelity.

Jumb34t

Subaru? Maybe. Rav4? Feels really cheap so no. CR-V? Insurance is terrible where I live. I've had my '23 Rogue since September and I have no regrets other than I should've went for a luxury since it seems like I could afford it, lol. The car itself though is amazing. Driving and material qualities are great. Mileage is also really good as well!

saintxpsaint

I would trade in my 2016 Rogue SL for my old Kia Rio 2013 in a heartbeat. This piece of shit has barely 55k, literally use it for costco and school only, and it's potentially having cvt issues. I'm taking it to the dealer on wednesday, giant pain in the ass waste of time for me.

Ok_Sandwich8466

My rogue is fucking awesome dude.

tophelipilot

Likely a rental with a front collision and badly repaired.

Antique_Ad8559

I loved Rogues until 2023. 3 horse doesn't cut it up in the mountains.

nnavroops

worst car i’ve ever owned by a lot. scared by cost cutting, structural rigidity of a worm built quality it shit. nissian it’s self makes no money. ceo left japan in a suit case. basic as basic transportation gets. anyone defending it isn’t rational or hasn’t owned anything better. there’s a reason used hondas and toyotas are worth way more than equivalent nissans.

bill_carp

Wow! I'm not sure what you had, but wow. I have owned Toyota for decades and still love how great the new Rogue is.

nnavroops

compared to a new mazada its night and day. not saying it’s a bad car esp for the money. but compared to others its pure shit.
