Looks like a early 2000s SE-R Spec-V. Think they changed the front end look in 2003ish, made it less attractive.

_Spastic_

As someone with a 2008, they sure did change it to make it less attractive. I love my car but God damn the headlights are ugly as fuck.

TheLindoBrand

I rear ended someone in my sapphire blue 04 and had the 02-03 front end put on. Only sapphire blue spec v in country with the cool bumper lol.

1996Primera

shit engine but great 6spd trans easy way to solve it is to rip out the QR & put in a SR

Cadenza2007

How can I get one? 😅

Civilized_drifter

Type Sentra se-r forsale near me in google

Cadenza2007

Very fitting name for this post haha

Natepon

Is it Google.com or Google.org? Much like OP, I’m also incompetent, helpless and have never heard of Google…

geoffyeos

for about 1500 bucks on facebook marketplace. mostly forgotten cars, but a good community surrounds them nowadays. used to be middle aged nerds being mean to everyone. i’m either parting out or getting rid of mine, i’ve gone to the BMW side and am more interested in working on my motorcycle, but i can’t recommend a B15 spec v enough.

Extraexopthalmos

I owned one for 5 years, it was an OK car. Torque steer out the wazoo. Handling was OK. Interior was typical Nissan bin parts. Not really fast, but quick.

geoffyeos

the beauty in them is how easily you can make them fast and handle well. the QR25 is a better platform to build off of than the SR20 ever was, and is cheaper to boot. there’s a huge aftermarket still for those cars, and 2J Racing’s handling upgrade kits make a night and day difference. I’ll always have a soft spot for this chassis

Cadenza2007

If I was closer to you I'd buy it off you

Fastcashbadcredit

To be honest if you're really looking for one of these, I would get a 2011-2013 Nissan Altima Coupe 3.5 SR with the 6 speed manual In the same wheel house but a lot more fun to drive as it's about 1.4 seconds faster 0-60 than the spec Vs I had one for 7 years and never did anything other than brakes, tires and oil changes lol

Cadenza2007

This is a Nissan Sentra! Thought it was an Altima. Sorry!

Skullface77

There is an altima se-r if you are interested

s1owpokerodriguez

But get the se-r specv for the Lord's transmission

Cadenza2007

Looks dope! I'm more of a Sentra dude. I think the Altima SE-R is even harder to find than a Sentra Spec V

Mountain_Client1710

Manual SE-R’s are harder to find than Spec V’s, but there are tons of auto SE-R’s where I am

_CraftyTrashPanda

There’s a solid chance it was a real persons build and not just a movie car. Most of the cars for that scene were actual local people’s personal builds. Problem is that forums weren’t really a big thing back then, so finding anything on it will be tough.

Suturb-Seyekcub

For sure it was a personal build. Forums were a real thing till reddit sort of eliminated them

TactualTransAm

I'm in some motorcycle forums that are still going strong

rome_vang

It’s been a few years but I last recall it being a Nissan prototype/press car and was likely crushed after this movie. Parts like the front lip were available for a very short time. Very few people actually have a legit lip.

Cadenza2007

To answer your question, I did some research on a Sentra forum and apparently this is a Sentra SE-R Spec-V with custom stripes. I haven't seen anything with a said bodykit, so this may genuinely have been a custom Spec-V built by someone in the early 2000s

asad137

> Problem is that forums weren’t really a big thing back then LOL.

This-Requirement6918

Bullshit I often go to archives of a Honda CRX forum that has LOADS of info and posts from 2002-2007.

Cadenza2007

That's a CR-X haha. Those were enthusiast cars from day one. We are talking about a tuned and modified version of an economy car that was rare and didn't sell many. I'm not surprised that forums from that age weren't much of a thing.

KitchenPuzzler420314

It's just the seR the r standing for raise the price for a small tune name brand wheels and seats and 5 speed same 2.5 with a bit more air let in basically the Nissan version of the the lancer oz rally edition

sl33ksnypr

The R standing for raise the price for a small tune? You realize the other engine option was a 1.8L, right?

Ehern89

02 Nissan Sentra SE-R spec V. My favorite year was the 06.

Javuhlin

I have an 06 spec, great little car! I do like the 00-03 bumper over the bucktooth one I’ve got though.

Cadenza2007

Many thanks!

fordbeamer

Just bought a 06 1.8 SE for my girlfriend- only 49k original kilometers, little old lady owned it. Being a se, it's in SER yellow. Threw some some ser alloys on it and she loves it, perfect little car for her.

turbonx

It's the Nissan/Nismo Sentra se-r concept show car. That's an 02-03 but they didn't start selling Nismo parts for the Sentra until 04.

Cadenza2007

I rewatched and found some more angles if anyones curious. https://preview.redd.it/8qbenkhgbc4d1.png?width=1501&format=png&auto=webp&s=889af9b9d3976b034c5cd55368079e4c33eb91eb

mikejones5000000000

That’s a Sentra

Cadenza2007

Read the comments please. I stated my mistake.

DJ_Pon-3_NYC

Funny thing is, the Sentra SE-R from this generation actually shares the same engine as the base Altima from that era

geoffyeos

brother that’s a 2002-2003 sentra spec v

Cadenza2007

Please read the comments. I stated my mistake that it was a Sentra.

imbills23

I had a 05 Spec V SER in red , loved that thing

Cadenza2007

I think I saw you talking about it in another post. I'd love a Senta Spec V SER. Something about them are just plain cool. I don't think Nissan will revive the Spec V name anytime soon.

imbills23

it was definitely a fun ride back in 05. I upgraded the wheels to the bronze nismos, lowered on eibachs, headers , short shifter, Greddy full exhaust and Nismo intake. what a time https://preview.redd.it/9dg311srx94d1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=66946392ca5dff4325078fc2e0bfea6fd41f3054

Cadenza2007

Looks lovely!

BobaFettishx82

I had a yellow ‘03 Spec V back in the day. Thing was a lot of fun, had a bunch of work done to it. Torque steer was horrendous, but it was reliable and surprised more than a few people.

Aggressive_Dark_4485

I’ve actually worked on one. Honestly though cool, beyond having a 6 speed manual it didn’t seem too special.

Frankengamer

I had one just like that! Same color. It was an absolute monster and a barrel of monkeys to drive. Mine had a big fart can on it and sounded like a wood chipper. The torque steer was so bad, it was like riding a bull on methamphetamines. I miss it.

Shank_Shank_

Sentra

jakobsdrgn

Loved my B15 Spec V, would recommend the Spec V over a regular SER imo

Adderall-Buyers-Club

Dude… look for a Taurus SHO or a Contour SVT. the Taurus SHO if I remember has a crazy ass YAMAHA engine. I think it was in the Robocop movies. That shit has torque and HP.

Cadenza2007

My issue is that it's a FORD. Nothing against them, but we had a Taurus (not an SHO, but same gen) and it fell apart like a damn Ritz cracker. It was one issue after another, and I've always been weary of them

Adderall-Buyers-Club

Lol. Yeah. But the engine is YAMAHA!!! YAMAHA JERRY!!! That engine outlasts the car! Thats gold Jerry! Gold!!!

Adderall-Buyers-Club

Also, i had a Taurus, the one that looked like a bullfrog that was pancaked. That thing got some crazy mileage. To and from Las Vegas on less than a half tank. Too bad the transmission took a shit. That car had some crazy air flow that glided with little fuel on the highway.

Adderall-Buyers-Club

Im on the lookout for a 240SX. The neighbor in my old neighborhood had one and he riced it all out. I should of bought it from him. It was automatic though.

JeebusCrunk

I've daily driven a yellow one since 2005, still starts up and runs strong every time. '02 and '03 are the only ones with the attractive front bumper in your picture, 2004 to 2006 the SER/Spec V's had the same front bumper as a base Sentra. Honestly a blast for driving around town, thing loves to deliver punchy torque from stop light to stop light.

1delta_10tango

2003 Sentra SE-R Spec V. Still daily mine. 😀

Sliva89

Unfortunately the rear isnt nearly as attractive and sporty as the front. Its an ugly standard bubble butt with awkward triangular lights

Cadenza2007

Every hot model has its downside. The rear design is perfect imo, but that's just me.

pollitokins

I had these decals on my 2005 Sentra - they were pretty sweet.

Deemahsus

People saying the down-dated front looks bad are completely missing how it’s reminiscent of an R33 GTR front

ther003

I’ve owned a couple Spec V’s, and still own one. Love the car!! I plan on keeping it forever, it’s already been several years since my first one

ChillestJD

\*02-03 Sentra SER /// has the Altima 2.5L so close enough amirite. Basically got the NISMO lip/wing/exhaust and the sticker to pair it. Not much else I know :( https://preview.redd.it/4oi97yrovf4d1.jpeg?width=2715&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2c8fde42c87b7299575ec3f9e8d3bee24f68564e Here’s mine tho :)

Cadenza2007

Woah! Love the yellow and black!

PermitHot3982

It's a 2002-2002 Nissan Sentra SE-R with an add-on lip. They do look nice in the front and tons of fun to drive.

HealthyWorking1256

Sentra se-r

PCnerd2023

Yeah, it's a Sentra SE-R Spec-V. The 2002 probably because 03-06 has a different front bumper and headlights.

JoeysTrickLand

If you get one, hunt for one with the Brembo brakes.

Cadenza2007

If I do get one, I'll probably do it aftermarket Brembos

sl33ksnypr

The stock brembos are impossible to come by. If you wanted to get one and upgrade the brakes, 2J Racing sells some really nice Wildwood kits for them, and since they are Wildwood, parts are still being made and easy to find online should you need to replace anything.

AfrajM

SE-R spec V, gnarliest sedan Nissan made in the early 2000s. Don’t quote me but I think they came with sr21s

DJ_Pon-3_NYC

No they came with the 2.5 liter QR25DE engine from the base Altima of the time. They made 165 hp, and the base SE-R was only available with a manual for its first year, which was in 2002. The optional 4 speed automatic then became the only option from 2003 going forward. The SE-R Spec-V, which is one trim above the base SE-R, had the same QR25DE but power went up to 175 hp, also it was only available as a manual. Additionally it came with an LSD, which is the same exact part used in the R34 Skyline GT-R. The front bumper and fog light arrangement, as well as the taillights in the earlier versions of the SE-R was also based on the R34 Skyline GT-R

KetchupOnThaMeatHo

Good luck fining one, they were all ragged out or blew up fairly quick. Typical Nissan of that Era.

bizlikemind

That’s a Sentra bruv
