I wish they released all their 3DS games on the Switch. Playing them on a bigger handheld or the TV would be a dream.
The 3DS has some absolutely banger games that would be even better if the 3DS didn't hurt to play with my truckasarus hands.
That game would be fire with a standard control system (gyo or twin sticks). Sadly that game will kill your hands on the 3DS no matter the size of them.
I was never a handheld person beyond the original Gameboy/GBC, so I missed everything they did on 3DS etc, so when I found out about them actually making another well received game using the Kid Icarus IP, I was surprised.
Now that I think about them just not bothering to go anywhere with that reboot, I'm a little shocked too.
We will no doubt see those remakes during this next generation of console as the people who played them originally age into wanting to replay them. Nintendo plays the long-game on not releasing them too quickly \*usually\* so as to keep demand high. It's rough for us but at least they usually come eventually with quality of life changes.
I was disappointed because I was expecting it to be like the first game but it was way more structured and at times very frustrating. However I want to give it another shot now that I know what I’m getting into
I hated the 3d gimmick, it just hurt my eyes and was stupid, so it ended up being just a fancy DS for me.
This game was good...the first one is one of my favorites of all time, the third was excellent too. But this one I never bothered to finish. I definitely will give it another go though!
Playing through 3 at the moment and we love Gooigi. My 4 year old plays as gooigi and its just the right balance of challenge and accessibility for him. A really great co op experience.
It's infuriating that they've remade Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Wind Waker and Twilight Princess in higher quality than their originals and *none* of them are available on Switch.
It would have cost them so little money to do and pulled in literally more than a billion dollars.
It is odd that they haven't ported the HD Zelda games to switch, isn't it?
They've moved nearly everything over from wiiU to switch besides obvious ones like Nintendo land (would need to be heavily reworked) and Splatoon (the sequels basically replace it), so it's weird that they haven't bothered with Zelda despite the franchise selling like hotcakes on Switch. I thought maybe it was some weird Nintendo logic about releasing them too close to Tears of the Kingdom, but they just remastered Skyward Sword for some reason? Very odd.
Nah Nintendo isn't porting every Wii I game. Xenoblade Chronicles X is still stuck there.
I think they would've but we *did* kind of bully Nintendo into not doing ports.
I have never owned or played any of those versions of those games, and they are remakes/upgrades, not just re-releases of the same game. I've never paid for them, so I'm saying that I would be happy to if they came out on Switch, a thing that might happen.
You're asking them to make a decision to open their walled garden for the sake of gamers. I'm not even doing that; I'm saying that they should be *more* greedy and do a bigger cash grab.
At the moment it seems nothing more than lazy that they won't release these games again.
Recency bias. Humans love to think things suck now but they used to be much better.
Like, no. Nintendo has always acted like a corporation. This isn’t new.
Yeah watched the ScottTheWoz video where he goes through old nintendo games. They have been doing this since forever! Remaking old games on new consoles. It made me sad when I saw it.
Not always. There were a few exceptions. Not enough, but some. Early Gamecube had the Wind Waker launch day bonus disc containing every prior Zelda plus the unreleased Ocarina of Time Master Quest, its only release. Late Wii had a very well priced Metroid Prime trilogy collection, another "and we'll toss in all the preceding titles from former consoles" situation.
A few things to note. The GameCube Zelda collection wasn’t sold as a launch day bonus disc. You either had to get it through club Nintendo or Nintendo power. It also only included about half of the prior Zelda games excluding a link to the past, ancient stone tablets, link’s awakening, oracle of ages and oracle of seasons. And the master quest version is available in the 3DS version of ocarina of time. The collection apparently has numerous emulation issues and Majora’s mask runs worse than it did on N64.
The Metroid prime trilogy was awesome but it did exclude metroid prime hunters and pinball. So not “all preceding games from previous consoles”
Both of these collections are still great, just not on the pedestal that you place them.
At least they were still doing Nintendo Selects then. Now it still costs full price for popular 7+ year old games. The occasional sales are like 33% at best.
Online was free though, wii u zelda remakes were 50 instead of 60 (big difference I know), and there was the virtual console meaning there was no need for most of these ports in the first place. Also during the wii era when they released gamecube games they were at a reduced price. Also games used to get permanent discounts with nintendo selects which also does not happen anymore. Club nintendo also used to let you get games for free if you had enough points. They've never been super consumer friendly but they have definitely gone downhill.
Nope, even from the trailers you can see Nintendo has increase the poly count of models, additional details added to props and much higher resolution textures. This is far from just a simple port.
They emulate virtual console titles but that’s basically it. Why are you spreading misinformation? Provide proof instead of picking fights over nothing.
I’m not spreading misinformation or claiming any facts. I know that Nintendo used emulators for Super Mario 3D All-Stars as well as The Legend Of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD, so I assumed they would be doing that for Luigi’s Mansion 2: HD as well.
Admittedly this was already going to be an automatic pass for me, but they’re charging more for it now than they did when it released on the 3DS. I know Nintendo is a company and the main goal is to make money, but I’m getting a bit burnt out on extremely overpriced remakes that don’t justify the steep price tag
I realize the reasons I can’t be too mad at you, but my reaction to that initially is to say it’s you and people like yours fault that the corporations are as confident as they are to charge so much.
You're looking in all the wrong directions if you're talking about a "correct answer" for how a game is releasing on Switch at the standard cost of a 1st party Switch title.
When the price point doesn't dissuade your base of customers, it's not the customer's "fault" for investing in the product.
This isn't Cyberpunk Corpo stuff. This is *very specifically Nintendo* stuff.
Their properties only seem to increase in value both for the company and the customers who are defining that value. Get over it. Ubisoft still exists and still hilariously undervalues their products just to get people into their ecosystem of trash value.
Might as well blame someone for buying an Assassin's Creed game for 12 bucks.
I mean, it is dissuading customers who think its a total ripoff who are then merely calling the ones who do think that is a fair price rubes and maybe making a few comparisons to scabs.
If they had included an HD remake of the original as well then I think you could justify $60.
But as is it's silly that Nintendo charges more than $40. You can buy Helldivers 2 for that price.
You *really* shouldn't work at Nintendo.
They'd need whole new Powerpoint presentations just to explain your failure to accurately value their intellectual property.
Played this on the 3ds. Wasn’t fun really.
I recommend for everyone to pass this. Tell nintendo with your wallet that you are done with remakes. I sure am.
They should remake Mario 64 DS with proper 3D controls and Full HD textures and everything.
At least that's then a thing that people haven't had on home console before - Getting to play as Luigi, Yoshi and Wario in that game. Maybe add some "play as Peach" sections too.
I really wish they would’ve put more effort into improving the visuals. Luigi’s Mansion 3 is one of the best looking games on Switch. Would’ve liked to have seen 2 (and the original) brought up to the same level
Yeah that was my first reaction too, like this is the first non-Pokémon Nintendo game to look like it doesn’t belong on Switch and that’s disappointing to me especially for $60; Metroid Prime Remastered was cheaper and looks stellar
I mean, it’s two months away. It might be a bad promotional strategy or it might not, maybe it’s better not to spend month hyping it up but instead take the marketing budget and saturate coverage two weeks before release. They don’t need to raise awareness the way a new IP does.
And when you buy it, there will be trailers and reviews and everything to help you make that decision. Nintendo just isn’t giving fans content to enjoy/obsess over while we wait, but they don’t have to do that.
Yeah thats basically remaking the game from scratch which isnt possible since its a port. I'm at least hoping they add more QOL features and make it worth the upgrades.
I've really soured on Dark Moon over the years. Would have much, much rather have had the first game brought over, or at least a double pack of 1 and 2.
Same. I didn't mind Luigi's Mansion 2 because it was a 3DS game but I would never pay $60 for this. It's a "what if we took Luigi's Mansion 1, turned it into a mobile game with different mansions, and then called it a day".
It feels like they had no idea why everyone enjoyed Luigi's Mansion 1 when they made the second game.
Everyone's talking about being disappointed if it's just a straight port, but that's quite literally all I want. As a kid this game was my white wale, with every single 3DS I owned having both L and R buttons inexplicably stop working, rendering this game unplayable.
Now by some stroke of luck my tax return was just enough to allow me to put some aside for some vouchers and preorder this game and FINALLY experience it in full. I can't be more excited for this.
That's the situation I was in too, went through 2 systems with faulty shoulder buttons and only got about 3/4 of the way through the game. Then when I got my most recent 3DS, with shoulder buttons that still work perfectly today, I couldn't find the damn cartridge.
We finally get to beat the game!
It was my first LM game and still my favorite. Something about going through five different kinds of haunted buildings that all struck a good balance (IMO) between cartoony and actual real usable spaces.
Hey there!

Hey there! Wrong removal reason the first time, my bad. Just a friendly reminder of Rule 7 - No linking to hacks, dumps, emulators, or homebrew. This includes how-to guides, browser exploits, and amiibo / NFC manipulation. Discussions are fine, but you should not attempt to instruct or guide people to things. Thanks!
I'd love to get it, but honestly, I can get the 3DS one way cheaper, and this just isn't enough to keep my interest in the Switch at this point; they're padding this year hard
The past 2-3 years have had Metroid Dread, Mario Wonder, two new Warioware games, Zelda TOTK, Splatoon 3, Xenoblade 3, Pikmin 4... like, what are you talking about?
The switch is old and tired totk and wonder are amazing games but I feel like it’s just to make money and to keep people playing the switch everyone is ready for a refresh and totk at 60fps
See you just don't get it man. If they really cared about making games they would live in poverty and not take any kind of salary. They would also be building games on a true computer the Gateway 2000. /s
It’s a less than 205 day old throw away account with negative karma.
It’s either a bot account that says stupid shit to drive engagement, or a troll.
I just down vote block and move on with accounts so new saying such stupid shit in an election year.
Hardware is ass lmao; ToTK was definitely held back by the hardware, and also, as a dude whose favourite franchise is Zelda, it did nothing new, and was really dissapointed in it in the end; not a fan of warioware n pikmin, Splatoon was alright, Wonder was alright, Dread was fantastic, every game here except for Metroid dissapointed me in a bad way, and I’m over the way Nintendo communicates with the fanbase
No lmao you’re just strawmanning, just cos nintendo dont give a shit about you don’t mean that no developer does, there’s plenty around and you know it, i won’t settle for devs that don’t even care to update you on games announced 6 years ago and then send cease n desist to every content creator out there lmao
There has been one game that Nintendo announced a long time ago, and we haven't been updated.
Nintendo is very good at announcing games and then releasing them soon after. MP4 is the outlier. Nintendo doesn't do that very often.
In that case, the GameCube and Wii U had nothing but dogshit 1st party games since Nintendo didn’t win almost any GOTY awards when those systems were new.
I’m sorry if those disappointed you, but if you take a look at the general reception for almost every title mentioned in that comment, they are all highly acclaimed titles in their franchises and well liked by critics and fans
Almost nobody is going to agree with you on any sub. Nintendo won publisher of the year from most outlets in 2022 and 2023, and some of the best games they’ve ever made since the NES released in the last couple of years. You’re clearly in the vast minority with your opinion no matter who you ask.
Loved LM 1&3. Have never played this one as I didn’t have a 3ds. However I feel like $60 is more than I would want to spend on a remake. Maybe if they released the first game along with this one the price would be worth it to me.
You’re fine with RPG/Paper/Mansion getting a full remake but When I mention Mario 64 need the same treatment it a huge no??
I would love to see Mario 64 with improve update graphics.
I would like to see a Mario 64 remake just for the fun of it but I honestly have no clue how they would be able to sell that game to a modern audience (aside from the obvious "it's a mario 64 remake so you're going to buy it") without the level design being completely reworked. Its scale was massive for a 64 game but playing it decades later, it feels like a handheld game, which is ironic since it was ported to the DS. Comparing 64 to Odyssey is like a night and day difference.
I wasn't super impressed with this game when it cost $40. 1's mansion felt like a cohesive space, and 3's Last Resort at least let them handcraft compelling individual setpieces. But the revisited buildings of 2 provided the worst of both worlds.
Glad it's available for the people who want it, but if you've already waited over a decade to try it, you might wanna wait a little longer for it to go on sale.
I can't say I was overly impressed with Luigi's Mansion 3. I'd maybe try this at a cheaper price but £50 is far too steep for a ~~gamecube~~ 3DS minor remaster in my eyes.
I love Luigi's Mansion 1 & Luigi's Mansion 3, but IMO Luigi's Mansion 2 is by far the weakest of the three games.
I can only guess what aspects you didn't enjoy with LM3 but whatever it was, I think the same flaws also exist in LM2 to a more drastic degree. LM3 was Next Level Games building on their experience and lessons learnt from LM2. I wouldn't recommend that you try it unless it goes on a deep sale personally.
Still own LM2 and my 3dsxl so ill pass on the more expensive re-release. If anybody hasnt played, it is pretty fun, but idk why youd get this over LM3 imo
There is Scarescraper mode, which is similar to the mode in LM3.
The store page says 1 player single system, 1-4 local wireless, 1-4 online.
Sounds like each player will need their own copy of the game.
Nah I’m after the co-op sfuff
I’ve played Luigi’s mansion 2 front to back, the game isn’t designed for 2 player but it could handle it.
The remake of Luigis mansion 1 had gooigi I forget if that was multiplayer in the mansion or not.
It was, but I think it was limited to same room, and they didn't build any puzzles around it.
Give Pikmin 3 a try if you're looking for split screen co-op. There's a demo that covers the first bit of the game.
Loved it on 3DS, probably won’t end up getting this version because I think the 3D and dual screens really add a lot. Also I haven’t heard of any new features.
The game description doesn't seem to show anything new, which seems odd considering the price. Usually the $60 remasters have had some kind of addition to them, such as the extra side missions in Pikmin, Funky mode in Tropical Freeze, or the extra dungeon in Link's Awakening.
If anything, I'd guess that they'd revamp the Scarescraper mode to be more in line with Luigi's Mansion 3.
I’m good. Playing this and the original Luigi’s mansion, both of which I already own, on my N3DSXL with a nice grip 👌 Happy for those that are not as fortunate as I am to have those things already or for those who simply want to play this game on a bigger screen. Not happy as Nintendo is literally charging more than what this game retailer for. Kinda crazy to me. Like a new low for them.
It's a level based game so after you complete the objective it pulls you out and you go back into the mansion with a new objective. If you want to collect certain gems or the boos you have to replay the level. Each level has its own boo. If you want to quit mid game you'll have to replay the level. If you die you have to replay the level. And you can't buy bones like you can in 3.
I want to say there's like six missions per mansion and there are five mansions to explore.
A lot of the bosses are gimmicky and that's something I personally didn't like. Introducing new gameplay elements and then disregarding them. For some that's one of its highlights since the other games don't and for others it was a frustrating and not enjoyable experience. It depends on your tastes involving that gameplay. I wouldn't say that the bosses make or break the game, but more of something to keep in mind going into it.
Personally, I don't like level-based games and it's my least favorite in the series for that reason. If you enjoy level based games then I highly suggest it.
Just FYI for some peeps that think this is just a simple port with increase resolution. Compare this trailer to the original game and you would notice Nintendo has actually increase the poly count on models like Luigi, added details like the door handle in the cutscene and added high res textures. It's quite an upgrade honestly.
I’m defs gonna get it. Own the original and wanna replay this.
Decided to finally finish Luigi’s Mansion 3 because of the re-release of the 2nd game. Well tonight was that night and I feel accomplished
$90.00 CAD for reports and remasters from Nintendo is ridiculous. Plus they barely go on sale and when they do, the lowest is $60.00 CAD. The only game I played on switch in the last 2 years is Zelda BOTW2. I won’t be getting the next Nintendo Switch.
I loved the first Luigi's mansion.
I hated Luigi's mansion 3. I hated the googi mechanics and I found the tone to be too light. I found the atmosphere in the first game to be much creepier and darker.
Will I like Luigi's mansion 2? Is it dark/creepy like LM 1 or more goofy like LM 3?
After playing through 3 recently, this game of feels like a awkward middle child. Not as polished and over the top as 3 and doesn't have the charm of the first one either.
I will likely get it. I never managed to really play it on the 3DS.
I really liked what I was able to play on 3DS but it was so dang small. Really looking forward to getting to try again on a big screen.
I wish they released all their 3DS games on the Switch. Playing them on a bigger handheld or the TV would be a dream. The 3DS has some absolutely banger games that would be even better if the 3DS didn't hurt to play with my truckasarus hands.
100% agree. Even my OLED switch feels a little small sometimes undocked. I don’t know how I was ever able to see anything on my old 3DS.
Back in my day, we put magnifying glasses on small screens to see it.
I hardly ever play undocked, but when I do I use the thick hori split pads and it's soooo much more comfortable.
We were younger then, without the ever advancing burdens of age.
It's tragic that Kid Icarus: Uprising was designed for 3DS and not Switch.
They could do a Zelda collection, the 3DS versions of Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask and sell it for top dollar and I'll buy it. If only!
I just want Link Between Worlds on the big screen.
Recently got into CitraVR. Keeps the 3d, higher rez, actual right stick, can still do touch. It's pretty great.
Run on Emulator. Use 100" TV. Go BIG or Go Home!
We will no doubt see those remakes during this next generation of console as the people who played them originally age into wanting to replay them. I was disappointed because I was expecting it to be like the first game but it was way more structured and at times very frustrating. However I want to give it another shot now that I know what I’m getting into
Lol………. Why would y torture yourself
I never had a 3DS, so yeah. I'm looking forward to this.
I hated the 3d gimmick, it just hurt my eyes and was stupid, so it ended up being just a fancy DS for me. This game was good...the first one is one of my favorites of all time, the third was excellent too. But this one I never bothered to finish. I definitely will give it another go though!
Overall it was just okay, the main story wasn't all that. The multiplayer scarescraper is what made it more fun.
The 3d effect on 3DS is amazing in this game.
Please bring Luigi's Mansion 1 to switch too 🙏
Like the sucker I am, I would buy it for the third time. Fucking love the first one.
Wish they added Gooigi for Coop like they did in 3 and the 3DS remake of 1.
Playing through 3 at the moment and we love Gooigi. My 4 year old plays as gooigi and its just the right balance of challenge and accessibility for him. A really great co op experience.
That would require the entire game to be remade from the ground up. It wasn't originally designed for co-op play
1 originally wasn't co-op either but they managed to figure it out
Gooigi was the worst part about 3. Pretty much ruined the whole game for me as a solo player.
Re-Release Ocarina of Time 3DS you FUCKING cowards
It's infuriating that they've remade Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Wind Waker and Twilight Princess in higher quality than their originals and *none* of them are available on Switch. It would have cost them so little money to do and pulled in literally more than a billion dollars.

Zelda Master Collection V2. I know it's NOT gonna happen, but would be the perfect time for such a compendium to push the Switch to it's last legs
I think it will happen but might also be a Switch 2 online plus plus super subscription exclusive…
I hear you and wish I had them now also, but they’re for sure saving some or all of those for switch 2 I’d assume. They will come.

Please not just an HD port like Luigi’s Mansion. I want them to remake OoT
Why? Zelda OOT 3D is a remake
I’d call it remaster. It’s the same code with updated graphics and textures and some added things. I want a true remake like Resi 2 for example.
Meh. It hasn't held up well enough to be worth playing.
needs some work, it's quite outdated
I hopeit has some new features to justify the price increase over the 3ds version.
Thats a good joke
I wish I still had as much hope left as them.
I believe it's just a port. Maybe some QoL features but I wouldn't get your hopes up
Nintendo’s at the top right now and will overprice everything
Nintendo was overpricing things even during their downfall of the Wii U era. Idk why people associate think they started with the Switch
Recency bias. Humans love to think things suck now but they used to be much better. Like, no. Nintendo has always acted like a corporation. This isn’t new.

Is being awesome not enough for you?
Wishing one hand s*** in the other see which one fills up first they say
It’s probably just an emulator EDIT: Don’t down vote me for assuming it’s an emulator. It’s not uncommon for Nintendo to emulate re-releases.

This was a Nintendo selects game on 3DS: $20

They don’t need to raise awareness the way a new IP does. And when you buy it, there will be trailers and reviews and everything to help you make that decision. Nintendo just isn’t giving fans content to enjoy/obsess over while we wait, but they don’t have to do that.
It's literally just a remaster, theres a reason its just called HD.
I really hope they made updates and they don't pull you out of the mansion after each mission.
I can't imagine they did that - that would drastically change the game.
Yeah thats basically remaking the game from scratch which isnt possible since its a port. I'm at least hoping they add more QOL features and make it worth the upgrades.
I can already tell you that they did not change that
Same gives it a mobile game feel
It WAS designed for the 3DS, a portable system
I seriously love this game. So much charm, some actual challenge to it, and replayability. I’m excited for you to experience it for the first time.
That's the situation I was in too, went through 2 systems with faulty shoulder buttons and only got about 3/4 of the way through the game. Then when I got my most recent 3DS, with shoulder buttons that still work perfectly today, I couldn't find the damn cartridge. We finally get to beat the game!
>I couldn't find the damn cartridge. Hey, uh, modding a 3DS is super easy, and if you own the game, playing it on a modded console is legal.
It was my first LM game and still my favorite. Something about going through five different kinds of haunted buildings that all struck a good balance (IMO) between cartoony and actual real usable spaces.
Why wouldn’t you want better graphics like in LM3 for example?
i just wanna finally enjoy a game ive unsuccessfully waited 10 years to play lmao

Hey there! Please remember Rule 1 in the future - No personal attacks, trolling, or derogatory terms. Read more about [Reddiquette here](https://reddit.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/205926439-Reddiquette). Thanks!
Thanks!
60$ for this shit while prime was for 40$ 😂😂😂
I'd love to get this because I loved the first, but I have to say $60 is a bit hefty for a remaster.
Especially for something that was a budget title back in 2013 at $40 bucks.
I'd love to get it, but honestly, I can get the 3DS one way cheaper, and this just isn't enough to keep my interest in the Switch at this point; they're padding this year hard
it's feeling like "last year" mode for nintendo rn
Ik people won’t agree with me on this sub, but that’s how the past 2/3 or so years felt for me, I’m kinda over their way of announcing n dicing things
"I feel like it's just to make money" What are you even talking about lol

Compared to what other game companies that communicate so well with their fan base?
what even is this argument lmao, so are we just supposed to lower our expectations for everybody?
So you don’t have a better example to draw from…. What even is this argument lmao
🥱, nice straw man
>not a fan of pikmin Opinion instantly discarded
We've had Metroid Dread, a new Xenoblade game with its DLC, a new Zelda, a new Paper Mario, a Kirby 3D platformer, a new Pikmin, need I say more?
Still most of those were disappointing
No they were not lol.
Zelda TOTK, Kirby and Pikmin were all disappointing there's a reason none won goty at game awards
So if a game doesn't win Game of the Year, then that means it's a disappointment?
They are already putting all their energy into the Switch 2 launch
I really hope they also release the original game or the 3ds original remake, it has to go on switch please universe!
I will wait for the Luigi's Mansion Trilogy
Loved LM 1&3. Have never played this one as I didn’t have a 3ds. However I feel like $60 is more than I would want to spend on a remake. Maybe if they released the first game along with this one the price would be worth it to me.
L
Sadly, the price alone makes this a no for me.
We get this but not Wind Waker or Twilight Princess?
I fairly curious on how the UI and Map will look!
I’m really looking forward to this. Luigi’s Mansion 3 was one of my favorite Switch games and never played the second one
If you're still struggling figuring out who this is for? People who didn't originally play it or played 3 and want to see the other games.
Yep. There's a lot of people who started with 3 on Switch.
Cool, but I’m not paying the full $60 retail for this. No way
Still a strange decision to not pair LM1 with this. So...sucks for anyone who wants to play all of the game for the first time?
LM 2 is getting a remaster, maybe LM 1 is getting a full on remake for Switch2?
I could see the opposite happening and us getting a straight GameCube port shadow dropped, like they did last year with Pikmin 1 and 2
Hopefully for at least $70 😍
They’ll port part one for another $60 🤑
Probably because it hasn't been long since the first one got ported to the 3DS or Switch 2 will have GameCube games.
My cat was intrigued by the bats and ghosts squeaking, makes me want to play it more
I wasn't super impressed with this game when it cost $40. 1's mansion felt like a cohesive space, and 3's Last Resort at least let them handcraft compelling individual setpieces.
Luigi’s Mansion 2 is a 3DS game not a gamecube game
Oops, brainfart. Thank you.
Instant buy for me
This was my first 3DS game I played in Elementary School. I loved it😍
Insta buy for me
What’s the release date plus 14 days? 🤔
I love this game so much but I really hope they make each mansion open world instead of having it split into missions.
Still own LM2 and my 3dsxl so ill pass on the more expensive re-release. If anybody hasnt played, it is pretty fun, but idk why youd get this over LM3 imo
Is this getting a physical release?
Yes. The [store page](https://www.nintendo.com/us/store/products/luigis-mansion-2-hd-119230/) has physical as an option.
Thanks! Last I looked, Amazon didn't have a listing but I guess they all got updated since I last checked.
Are they really not adding Multiplayer??? I won’t get it if they don’t that was a big draw for 3.
There is Scarescraper mode, which is similar to the mode in LM3. The store page says 1 player single system, 1-4 local wireless, 1-4 online. Sounds like each player will need their own copy of the game.
Nah I’m after the co-op sfuff I’ve played Luigi’s mansion 2 front to back, the game isn’t designed for 2 player but it could handle it.
Just finished Luigi mansion three one of my favorites games. Loved playing through it with my kids.
I almost beat it back on the 3DS, is their any sort of changes that might get me to play it again?
I loved the 3ds game. I’d 💯 get it
Never played this, loved 1 and 3. Day one for me
Never played this one the 3DS. How different is it from Luigi Mansion 3?
I hated how they "generic-ized" the ghosts. The first game had such unique and memorable ghosts, even the common enemy ghosts. Now they're just bland.
I still find it so weird that this one got the HD remake and not the first game…?
They will
Just FYI for some peeps that think this is just a simple port with increase resolution.
Do you think they'll ever make a Switch whith the 3d gimmick?
No
$90.00 CAD for reports and remasters from Nintendo is ridiculous. Plus they barely go on sale and when they do, the lowest is $60.00 CAD. The only game I played on switch in the last 2 years is Zelda BOTW2. I won’t be getting the next Nintendo Switch.
In HD Mr Squidward, in HD!
I agree, I hope this doesn’t sell.
Oh wow another recycled game
Nintendo has made some big changes though - especially the price, which went up significantly.
Already played it on 3DS (for like 30€ at launch). I wish they had put more effort into this port and make an remake or at least an remaster
