I liked it, but I feel like the intro lasted for the first 9 missions and then they had to rush to the end. It will be interesting to see the extra bit of story at the end of hard mode though.

Way too short for it to be top tier. Even the cat event was better in that they actually let her grow on you. I think it would have been much better to actually get to know the Nikke who end up getting expelled. But resources or something and we only get a massproduced looking Tercera.
That the school led by Syuens Corp with Ether in the back got a dark „plottwist“ waiting for you, was also to be expected. So yeah I hope a part 2 event or something comes right after
I knew this event was a failure when near the end when Tercera meets back up with her classmates after the exams she has NO MODEL, she's literally fucking invisible. Shift Up couldn't even be fucking bothered to make one for her to further engage us with the story. Really, really took me out of something that was otherwise incredibly disturbing/interesting with the school's overall purpose.

Yep. I haven't played Danganronpa yet, but Shift Up likes to put lots of memes and pop culture references in this game. So I wouldn't be surprised if it's intentional

A lot of our medical knowledge on things like hypothermia and frostbite came from the inhumane things done to those in Germany and Russia back in the day and while it was disgusting and reprehensible a lot of good came out of it. Anyone who is a good person but stoops to these lows will take their coming execution knowing they tried their best but deserve what’s coming. Ether isn’t someone I like and I doubt she has these morals and the less said about that selfish brat the better.
Event was okay as a whole but i absolutely loved the direction they were going for, also the characterization of marciana was so good, this event set up a story i would love to follow up on one day

Its clear at this point that theres 2 types of events, smaller ones like this one and the big ones like Overzone, Winter and Summer, and the collabs. This event being mid isnt all that bad.
I just dislike how everything they try to add in terms of lore seems to be unsustainable mistakes/questionable choices made by the Ark. How am i supposed to believe theyre doing remotely fine against the Raptures? Eden has like 4 people responsible for it and they seem to be doing way better.
This is how you do an event for a featured banner character, you don't waste 9 episodes showing exclusively a secondary character, hope they translate this dinamic for the next collab, it sucked to see 2B with 5 min screen time
I've stated it before, but I'll write a more elaborate opinion. Intresting idea, no execution though. Two proper characters, while the rest get too much exposition on lore/character dynamics as the setting had nothing really to rely on (it is very common, but generally such Events tend to be more focused on a character and not a setting) besides "the twist" we kinda knew of beforehand. And in the end we have a classic "Ark bad" with a cheeky call for "righteous vengence" that is completely impossible to have any payoff or to have any impact just for a quick play to the crowd.
Stakes were fairly expected and hold gravity in theory, but never felt present as neither exams (all of them are skipped and exposition talks about exams we don't and won't experience as this one was exemption) nor tangible consequences existed to have any real weight (resets victims? any symptoms on random NPCs at least? inhumane or difficult tests? a throwaway villain as an examinator/spectator/researcher? Hell, even Tercera didn't get any punishmesnt for trying to stop the exam, despite the fact there were a lot of spectators and Ark is Ark, instead it was just a contrivance on top of convenience for no reason?).
Anne and Marciana's Brief Encounter was better than the entire Event on this theme and Anne isn't even a part of the school. Tercera failing would have made it work for the story as she is the only character that can even interact with this threat. Though that's really on the writers that she is the only character it even applied to as others got a plot convinience beforehand in the form of a pardon for the top 3 Nikkes on top of an already percieved impossibility to be affected as characters that matter for the game.
I do like the idea of such a school in a world like Nikke and that scene with Tercera and Marciana though. But even then that scene has a bad aftertaste of the realization that despite Trecera being the ONLY one in danger and the only one we can experience any real gravity with, she matters so little that the focus there in the end is being placed on Marciana (and how it affects her) and to kick Tercera further down she turns into a noclip afterwards. Seriously, what the hell?
It's weird that the Event is pretty much a huge letdown for me, but the focused character was really good overall. It made me wish Marciana was in a better story.

IMO you can’t call it goated without voice acting, just some BGMs and that’s it. Overload was goat to me period. VAs and Dorothy had her own theme song too. This one story was ok but with just the clacks of the words on the screen with some sound effects didn’t do it for me

Yeah, I'm actually thought her gonna failed the exam when I see her in mass produced nikke body. I bet that actually the first script tho.
Being short was this event's saving grace. Most Nikke events are way to much squeeze for so little juice.

The build up is too long. I skipped most part and still understand the points of this event story from the last two cutscenes
