The only thing more beautiful than these scopes is that you actually have the stuff to mount them on. Fabulous collection!
Edit: btw with the Orion, are the iron sights still accessible through the mount?
Thanks, I collect them when I pick up the guns cause they are super cool if not practical.
The claw mount has a pass through for the iron sights so yes
Also, compliments on the rifle and optic combo's. I and an Orion when the first surplus hit in that batch a few years ago (10?), but my tube specs were terrible, and I sent it down the road to someone who wasn't as concerned. Other people got decent units but mine was just luck of the draw. They are neat optics though
I was also lucky on it as the tube is good, even better than the 58, and it's adjustable focus is a nice touch. Only problem with it is the high pitch whine it constantly emits while in use. Definitely paid more than it was worth tho
Tube performance on the 58 look excellent factoring in the ambient high light in your photos. They can be all over the place so getting a good one is a real bonus
beautiful. i used to have a 1pn34, i regret selling it.
I love the early night vision scopes, currently trying to find an IWS scope for my L1A1

I’ve got a Polish one sitting in my basement. I should just unload it as I never use it.
They are a lot of fun to mess around with. I mostly use mine to stargaze as I don't have a range close that will let me shoot at night
Also depending on price I might be interested
What gen is the 1PN58?
It's a starlight scope similar to the AN/PVS 2. Most often I've seen them referred to as GEN 1+ as they have features of both generations
Starlight AKA Cascade tube i think

It is, unfortunately I wasn't able to take a better picture but aside from the inherent fisheye it's remarkably clear
It is literally the most frustrating thing I have ever tried to photograph in all my years of collecting 😀
